Tim Miller Going Back To Aruba to Search for Natalee Holloway
Posted in: Aruba,Natalee Holloway,Texas Equusearch
In an interview this afternoon with Tim Miller of Texas EquuSearch it was learned that he will be returning to Aruba later this week for preliminary talks with Gerold Dompig and other Aruban officials. Tim Miller plans to go to Aruba with Jim Whitaker, an expert in underwater searches. Tim Miller stated that he has previously talked to Gerold Dompig regarding the matter and looks forward to discussing and mapping out a plan of action with Dompig and other Aruban officials. Their primary goal is to find Natalee.
When asked whether Tim Miller expected cooperation from the Aruban officials as Gerold Dompig was on record as stating that “he had heard from Miller about EquuSearch’s plans and wished them well, but that the government was unlikely to provide official support since the nonprofit group joined in an American call for a boycott of the island”. Tim Miller stated the following comment with regards to the boycott:
“I have not called for a boycott of Aruba. I am not in favor of the boycott. The residents of Aruba are wonderful people, why should they be blamed and held responsible for the actions of a few? I do not feel that it is fair to the residents of Aruba. I do not want them to be a victim in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. The three boys may be, but the Aruban people are not.”
Tim Miller hopes that all will go OK with his visits with Gerold Dompig and the Prosecutor’s office. All TES wants to do is search for Natalee Holloway in the area that Gerold Dompig had suggested months ago. An area that needed more advanced equipment to search. If all goes well Tim Miller will have more sophisticated side scanner sonar and magnetometer shipped to Aruba. Jim Whitaker’s organization is able to search depths of over 14,000 ft deep. The area in question three miles off the Aruban ashore is 800 to 1000 feet deep. As Tim Miller said, “we just want to find Natalee and I am sure Aruba does as well.”
I asked Tim Miller whether he expected any cooperation from the government in doing this search seeing that there have been comments to the contrary. Tim Miller stated that he hoped the had their cooperation but did not expect their support, as in financial support. Tim Miller wanted to make sure the following was known when it came to this search:
“The Aruban people have already given enough. They have given more than expected. I will not ask for anything to be compensated. TES will fund this themselves. They Aruban people have suffered enough and have given far more than was ever expected. I will not accept a discounted rate. They owe us nothing”.
Tim Miller reiterated this is about finding Natalee Holloway. That is his mission, just like the many other successful recoveries that Texas EquuSearch does yearly. I would have to agree and believe all feel the same. Whether they be American or Aruban, I am sure all just want Natalee found so that the Holloway’s and Twitty’s can have closure as well as the Aruban people. That is a common goal that all can stand behind. Closure for all.
