There is no fear that former President Clinton will ever be predicting the winning Powerball lottery numbers any time soon …
Let me make something perfectly clear, the Americans people will like Obamacare, um, or not.
Former President Bill Clinton admitted on CBS’ “Face the Nation” that he was wrong in the prediction about the popularity of Obamacare. Now, after all this time you are admitting you were wrong? The real question is how could anyone have predicted that it would have been popular when it as adamantly opposed by Americans from the outset? Bill Clinton asks himself, how could I have misread the signs.
When we asked whether Obamacare would be popular, the Magic 8 Ball said …
Former president Bill Clinton, a champion of healthcare reform, admitted on Sunday that he made the wrong prediction about the popularity of President Obama’s healthcare bill.
Initially, Clinton had predicted that the polls in favor of Democrats would be boosted as soon as the legislation was signed into law. Instead, Clinton said on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” his prediction was wrong for two reasons.
“First of all, the benefits of the bill are spread out of three or four years. It takes a long time to implement. And secondly, there has been an enormous and highly effective attack on it,” he said.
Delusional Democrats including Barack Obama had complete disregard for the American people said, “that they would learn to like it”. Bill Clinton eats some crow over Obaamcare while Democrats will be relegated to the minority.
Hillary to Bill, Wrong again, eh?
Sadly, Slick Willy and the rest of the Democrats still do not get it. The opposition to Obamacare has nothing to do with republicans, it has to do with “WE THE PEOPLE”. It is not the Republicans that initially opposed the bill, it was American voters in Town Hall meetings and Tea Party events that expressed their displeasure. The Republican opposition was simply a results of listening to the people. Presently the average polling is -14 against Obamacare; however, from the outset it has been unpopular.
On CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Clinton said Republicans deserve “their fair share of credit” for Obama’s stumbles, including a sinking approval rating.
“I think he was shocked at the intensity of the Republican opposition,” Clinton said. “But they learned from my first two years that, if you just say no, even though people hate it, you get rewarded for it because it discourages the Democrats and it inflames your base. So they’re doing just what they did in ’93 and ’94. And so far it appears that they’re being rewarded for it.”
Why would Bill Clinton be surprised at Republicans actions when the majority of Americans were against Obamacare and the government take over of healthcare? Now we see that Obama’s justifications of lowering health care costs and the deficit were nothing more than a lie. The repeal of Obamacare is a major issue leading up to the 2010 midterm elections and the reason why many Democrats will lose their seats.
Mr. Clinton, Obamacare is so unpopular that not one Democrat running for office in 2010 has their vote for the government takeover of health care in any of their political ads. In fact, those Democrats who voted against it are trying to portray themselves as being against Obama, Pelosi and Reid.
The real question that needs to be asked is how could any Democrat, including Clinton, have ever thought that Obamacare would have been popular? A bill where Democrat House Speaker stated that they needed to pass the bill in order to find out what was in it.
It just goes to show just how out of touch with Americans that the Democrat party truly is.
