Poll Shocker: Conservatives Are More Than Twice as Likely as Liberals to Be Strongly Patriotic

Wow, say it isn’t so … the USA Today/Gallup needed to do a poll to figure the following out?
According to a new USA Today/Gallup poll, Conservatives are more than twice as likely as liberals to express very strong patriotism. No liberal media bias reported at the USA Today, where they failed to mention in their article the liberal patriotic data. NICE. At least they mentioned that 85% Tea Party members described themselves as very patriotic.
According to a new USA Today/Gallup poll in which 48 percent of conservatives said they were “extremely patriotic,” but only 19 percent of liberals made that claim.
The poll asked respondents this question: “How patriotic are you? Would you say extremely patriotic, very patriotic, somewhat patriotic, or not especially patriotic?” The poll surveyed a random sample of 1,014 adults from June 11-13, and the margin of error was plus-or-minus 4 percentage points.
Overall, 72 percent of Americans said they were either extremely (32 percent) or very patriotic (42 percent), with another 19 percent saying they were somewhat patriotic. Only 6 percent said they were “not especially patriotic.”
I guess we can see where the 6% of not especially patriotic comes from as according to the Gallup poll, Republicans and Conservatives are up 17% and 15% respectively when asked whether they were “extremely patriotic” as compared to 2005. However, Democrats and Liberals are down -2 and -4 when asked the same question for compared to 2005.
Why exactly would the LEFT consider it a badge of honor to be considered not patriotic?
