HAPPY JULY 4, 2010 … Happy Independence Day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA … To the greatest nation, the land of the free and the home of the brave! As you spend your July 4th with family and friends at picnics, get-togethers community or church functions and watch firework displayswhile waiving your American flags with deep feelings of emotional pride … Please remember that so many have sacrificed and continue to do so to keep America free. God bless our troops and God bless our fore fathers who made this country possible.

As Hot Air stated, “On July 4th, 1776, Great Britain’s colonies united not to depose a king but to declare him irrelevant to their land, and to make the clearest declaration in history of the right of a people to self-governance”.

America is not perfect, nor do we claim to be. However, the United States of America is the greatest country that God placed on this good Earth, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

On this July 4th, 2010, our countries 234th birthday, let us not forget of the sacrifices made by so many to make the United States of America independent and free. Because freedom is never free and there is a tremendous cost to remain independent. Our Founding Fathers brought before us a great nation of hard work and sacrifice, it is our duty as citizens to continue that dream.

Never more than since the birth of our great nation has the notion of “WE THE PEOPLE” been more important. For years we have allowed government to usurp their authority and take away our liberties. However, on this 4th of July I would like all to think about this great land and what made it great. America fights a war on terror for a reason. We the People want to protect our borders and our rule of law for a reason. We the People seek life liberty and the pursuit of happiness for a reason.

 It is not government that enables you to do this … it was the unalienable rights endowed by our Creator.

Remember the words of John Adams who said the following regarding the future remembrances of “Independence Day.”

“I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding generations, as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn acts of devotion to God almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires and illuminations from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward, forever more.”

Please read the Declaration of Independence and understand what our Founding Fathers put forth the birth of the United States of America. There are many today, namely today’s politicians who need to tale a good look at this brilliant document and understand that the United States was not founded on government dependence. In 1776 the colonies fought a war against British control and dominance. We fought a war for independence against taxation without representation. The point of the Revolutionary War was not to trade an over-reaching, egregious English dictatorial rule for one located in Washington, DC.

When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and of nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.–Such has been the patient sufferance of these colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former systems of government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute tyranny over these states. To prove this, let facts be submitted to a candid world.

He has refused his assent to laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

He has forbidden his governors to pass laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.

He has refused to pass other laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of representation in the legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.

He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures. (read the est HERE)

Happy Birthday America!!! Remember this July 4th what this day means … A Declaration of Independence was signed. We today as a nation need to ask ourselves, are WE THE PEOPLE independent or dependent.
