My How the Mighty Have Fallen … Cheney More Popular than Speaker Pelosi in Gallup Poll

Isn’t this priceless … former VP Dick Cheney is more popular in a Gallup Poll than current Speaker of the House Nancy “I know nothing about waterbaording” Pelosi. Cheney is at 37% and on the rise, as Casey Casem would say with a bullet, while Pelosi is at 34% and sinking fast.

Yes, that’s right … Dick Cheney is ahead of my by almost 4% points in the polls

Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and former Vice President Dick Cheney have little in common politically, but they receive almost identical image ratings from the American public. According to a May 29-31 Gallup Poll, 37% of Americans have a favorable view of Cheney and 34% have a favorable view of Pelosi. Both Cheney and Pelosi are viewed unfavorably by at least half of Americans.

The trend … Cheney is up 7% since January 2009 while Pelosi is down 8% from approximately the same period of time. What a difference lying about waterboarding makes. One thing is for certain, Pelosi’s numbers are most likely to continue downward as she refuses to answer questions about waterboarding and accusations she made of the CIA, while Cheney’s now being out of office will go up.
