57 Year Old Linda McLaughlin Missing Since 6/1/15 in Sunset Hills, MO

57 year old Linda McLaughlin has been missing since Monday, June 1, 2015 in Sunset Hills, Missouri. McLaughlin was last seen Monday night at about 7 PM by friends. Linda McLaughlin lives in the 9100 block of Meadowglen Lane. Her friends reported her missing on Tuesday. Police suspect foul play. According to court documents, McLaughlin and her estranged husband are in the midst of divorce proceedings after 35 years of marriage and were due in Court for a settlement hearing on Thursday, June 4. McLaughlin filed for divorce in December.

Now, Sunset Hills Police have turned the case over to the St. Louis County Crimes Against Persons Unit. St. Louis County Police say this case is different from most missing person cases they handle because McLaughlin is described as a very reliable person. Friends and family tell police it is highly unusual for her not to be in contact with them.

Police say McLaughlin’s phone is off and her vehicle is missing. It is described as a brown 2008 Buick Enclave with Missouri license plates: KA9-L4R.

According to court documents, McLaughlin and her husband are in the midst of divorce proceedings. They are due in court for a settlement hearing Thursday morning.

UPDATE I: Family pleads for information on missing Sunset Hills woman.

St. Louis County Police are searching for a missing Sunset Hills woman and her family is pleading for help. Police were contacted about 57-year-old Linda McLaughlin Tuesday morning. She wasn’t home when she was supposed to take care of her grandchildren.  Police said family members told them this was totally out of character for the woman.  Her oldest son John McLaughlin said, “We’re just asking anybody if they have information about my mom and come out and provide any information you may have.”

The couple has a business in Fenton; it’s a hoist and crane company.  A web site indicates that Linda McLaughlin is the owner of the company and her husband john is general manager.
