Border Patrol Agents Vote No to Chief Over Jailing of Agents

Posted in: Homeland Security

As has been covered at Scared Monkeys and on Dana Pretzer’s Radio Show, Border  Patrol agents have been up in arms over the treatment, arrest, and jailing of Border Patrol agents serving time for shooting a drug smuggling illegal alien.

Now the National Border Patrol Council, which represents the 11,000 agents have now had a No Confidence vote on Chief David V. Aguilar. The border agents have had  enough of the politically motivated head of the agency that essentially has sacrificed these two agents to appease the Mexican government and those that are advocates of rights for illegal aliens.

In a unanimous decision agreed to on Sunday, the top leadership of the National Border Patrol Council lambasted Aguilar for his silence on behalf of Ignacio Ramos, 37, and Jose Alonso Compean, 28. The two are serving 11 and 12 year prison sentences, respectively, as a result of testimony given by a a drug-smuggler who claimed his civil rights were violated when he was shot in the buttocks trying to run across the Mexico border after dropping 743 pounds of marijuana during their pursuit of him. via FOXNews.com
