Border Patrol Agents Vote No to Chief Over Jailing of Agents

As has been covered at Scared Monkeys and on Dana Pretzer’s Radio Show, Border  Patrol agents have been up in arms over the treatment, arrest, and jailing of Border Patrol agents serving time for shooting a drug smuggling illegal alien.

Now the National Border Patrol Council, which represents the 11,000 agents have now had a No Confidence vote on Chief David V. Aguilar. The border agents have had  enough of the politically motivated head of the agency that essentially has sacrificed these two agents to appease the Mexican government and those that are advocates of rights for illegal aliens.

In a unanimous decision agreed to on Sunday, the top leadership of the National Border Patrol Council lambasted Aguilar for his silence on behalf of Ignacio Ramos, 37, and Jose Alonso Compean, 28. The two are serving 11 and 12 year prison sentences, respectively, as a result of testimony given by a a drug-smuggler who claimed his civil rights were violated when he was shot in the buttocks trying to run across the Mexico border after dropping 743 pounds of marijuana during their pursuit of him. via FOXNews.com

This is such a shame since I went to college in Tuscon Arizona
we always went to Mexico a lot and later became friends with a few Border Patrol agents.
Even then the Drug smuggling was starting to gain momentum BUT the Border Patrol agents were always more admired then the reg Police because then they could seldom be bought and
they did their jobs without fear of being punished by their OWN superiors, the were like a family down near Nogales AZ
Today I would never think of being a BP agent cause it is far dangerous enough to stay alive with the druggies out their but then to have their word taken against a BP agents time and time again ?
Something is very wrong with the Border Patrol and our Govts view of Justice and security at our Southern most Border.

Makes you wonder what side the government is on? Perhaps the Drug kingpins have more power than we think….we know they have more money.

WTF!? ILLEGAL aliens have CIVIL RIGHTS!? Since when!? Before you know it criminals will have more rights than American citizens. … oh wait… they already do… GUN LAWS/BANS etc. the only people who will obey them will be the citizens. Those laws are in place to help the criminals.
