Democratic Candidtaes Choose Theme Songs for Democratic National Committee’s winter meeting

So all of the Democratic candidates chose two theme songs,  one that blared as they approached the stage and another that played as they left the podium. The chose the following:

John Edwards: “This Is Our Country” by John Mellencamp.

Actually candidate Edwards, our country is much different that they one you are accustomed to. Your country can be seen below.

Sen. Chris Dodd of Connecticut: “Get Ready (Cause Here I Come)” by the Temptations and “Reach Out,” also by the Temptations. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York: “Right Here, Right Now,” by Jesus Jones and “Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet” by Bachman-Turner Overdrive.

Hillary first thought that she would use “Climb Every Mountain” until advisors reminded her of that whole Sir Edmund Hillary fiasco. Hillary then thought she would use a Tammy Wynette song, until once again advisors quickly reminded her of her ill-fated Tammy Wynette and baking cookies comment.

Rep. Dennis Kucinich of Ohio: “America the Beautiful”

We are thinking that maybe “Smeagol’s/Gollum’s Theme” from The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. After all … both are after the prescious.

Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois decided against using any music in keeping with the somber tone he sought to convey. Wesley Clark, who hasn’t indicated whether he will run, entered to Johnny Cash’s “I Won’t Back Down.”

I think we can do a much better job of picking more appropriate theme songs. Give your own versions as to what you thing they should have used.
