Bishop Robinson, Never an Agenda There

Posted in: Main

From the very outset of Gene Robinson’s tenure, it was never about an agenda, just religion, right? The Rt Rev Gene Robinson, the Bishop of New Hampshire in the Episcopal Church of the United States creates a firestorm.

Jesus was an unmarried, “non-traditional man” who did not uphold family values, “traveled with a bunch of men” and enjoyed an especially close relationship with one of his disciples.

As David Limbaugh states its “A Blasphemy Among Blasphemies,” but what did anyone expect would happen when the Episcopal Church elected Robinson Bishop? Did they not think it was the beginning of a liberal crusade to justify homosexuality in the Bible. It is truly an evil thing to say but what would we expect from the individual who compared himself to Jesus Christ when he went through the difficult opposition election process of becoming Bishop.

David Limbaugh further went on to say:

Did not uphold family values? What? He defined them for all the ages.

One would have to be morally blind to read the Bible and suggest that Jesus, who along with the Father and Holy Spirit, inspired its words, would be endorse, much less participate in homosexuality.

Surely this guy isn’t suggesting Jesus didn’t underscore the sanctity of marriage.

It is almost unbelievable to imagine that these words are coming from an Episcopal Bishop. After ready Bishop’s attempted justifications of homosexuality I actually feel the need for a shower.

However, who could not see this coming? This was the liberal agenda all along why he was pushed through. I’m glad that the Bishop deems it OK to justify to such a small percentage of the people that Jesus was gay, does he ever take the other 98.4% in to account?

OTB also has some interesting comments on the Gay Bishop’s comments.

I almost forgot – Thank you New Hampshire.
