Now This Will Get you in Trouble with the Secret Service … “they hanged the wrong man”

When will people ever learn, that there are consequences to your actions. Folks, if you make a veiled threat against the President or even what seems to be an innocent comment containing the words “President” and “hang” … mark my words, the Secret Service will be knocking on your door. Thus was the case with 81 year old Dan Tilli who wrote in a letter to the editor of the Express-Times of Easton, PA. Its nothing personal, its standard operating procedure.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) — An elderly man who wrote in a letter to the editor about Saddam Hussein’s execution that “they hanged the wrong man” got a visit from Secret Service agents concerned he was threatening President Bush.

The letter by Dan Tilli, 81, was published in Monday’s edition of The Express-Times of Easton, Pa. It ended with the line, “I still believe they hanged the wrong man.”
