President Barack Obama Insults America Again, “We’ve Been a Bit Lazy”

Those were the days …
Remember when former President Ronald Reagan used to uplift us and urged us to be the best we could be? Reagan lead us back from the economic abyss following the Carter years and the misery index of double digit unemployment, inflation and interest rates. Reagan inspired us with “American exceptionalism”, renewed Patriotism, that vision of the shiny city on the hill and Morning in America.

That was then, this is now. Sadly, we are presented with a current president who sees fit to insult America. For the second time in as many months we are presented with the following. At the annual Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings in Hawaii Obama stated to the CEO’s, that United States has gotten “lazy” and that America lost its hunger in promoting itself in a global marketplace. Lazy? So Obama thinks what Europe has done and what socialism and redistribution of wealth represents is not lazy?
For the second time in as many months, President Obama has taken the nation that elected him president to task for its own lackadaisical economic performance on the global stage.
Obama told a group of CEOs today that the United States has gotten “lazy” and that America lost its hunger in promoting itself in a global marketplace.
“We’ve been a little bit lazy over the last couple of decades. We’ve kind of taken for granted — ‘Well, people would want to come here’ — and we aren’t out there hungry, selling America and trying to attract new businesses into America,” he told the CEOs who are gathered on the sidelines of the annual Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings, which the United States is hosting this year in Hawaii.
Just recently Obama said, “This a great, great country that had gotten a little soft …”. Competitive edge? With all of the regulations, increasing taxes and “green” energy nonsense espoused from Obama, how could we have any edge? Oh how we long for the days of a President who does not continually diss the very people whop elected him. Obama must go in 2012, this country cannot continue to have a leader that seems to so hate the very way of live that made America great.
Last September, in an interview with an Orlando, Fla., TV station, Obama made similar remarks, saying, “This a great, great country that had gotten a little soft and we didn’t have that same competitive edge that we needed over the last couple of decades. … We need to get back on track.”
Obamunisim is a recipe for laziness. After all, it depends on the redistribution of wealth and that the producers give to the useless. An Obama America is predicated on the fact that the government should take care of individuals from birth to grave. How could it get any more lazy than that?
