Cincinnati Man Dies of Tooth Infection … Liberal MSM Blames No Insurance
Posted in: Bizarre,Government,Healthcare,Nanny State - Big Government
Sorry folks, but there comes a point and time where one must make some choices and one would think the most common sense choice would be to stay alive.
A 24 year old Cincinnati man died as a result if a tooth infection as ABC News reported, he could not afford his meds because he had no insurance. Really? I am truly sad that this man died, but it was not because he did not have dental insurance. BTW, you mean he could not find and affordable dental palm at Dentalplans.com?
A 24-year-old Cincinnati father died from a tooth infection this week because he couldn’t afford his medication, offering a sobering reminder of the importance of oral health and the number of people without access to dental or health care.
According to NBC affiliate WLWT, Kyle Willis’ wisdom tooth started hurting two weeks ago. When dentists told him it needed to be pulled, he decided to forgo the procedure, because he was unemployed and had no health insurance.
When his face started swelling and his head began to ache, Willis went to the emergency room, where he received prescriptions for antibiotics and pain medications. Willis couldn’t afford both, so he chose the pain medications.
Kyle Willis went to the ER when his face started swelling and his head began to ache. He received prescriptions for antibiotics and pain medications. Because Willis couldn’t afford both, he chose the pain medications. HUH??? That may be a little RED FLAG. The patient chose the pain meds over the antibiotics that would have cured him of his infection. So this guy made a choice of pain meds over antibiotics. The LEFTIES just lost their blame insurance on that one.
Liberals will be quick to call America an evil country that would dare let some one die because they had no dental care. Folks, people die because they make poor decisions. One of them being to beg, borrow and steal to make sure they have some form of coverage. From Dentalplans.com an individual plan could have been obtained from anywhere between $104.95 and $144.95. At some point one needs to take responsibility to have measures in place to handle health issues that might arise. Of course American Power has it correct in that a tooth extraction is not that costly either. The sad reality is, this guy just wanted it to be free.
Better than that, are you telling me that Kyle Willis could not have gone to WALMART and become part of the $4 PRESCRIPTION DRUG PROGRAM? Most likely the ER would have prescribed amoxicillin for the infection. At some point one has to take responsibility for themselves, rather than this Nanny state that the LEFT wants to create. They would rather have the government control you from birth to death.
This is a sad story, but not because the guy did not have insurance. Instead, its sad because he made ill advised choices and did not take advantage of things that were available. People need to use common sense, not just sit back and say oh woe is me and expect others to do what you should do for yourself.
