Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Issued Amber Alert for Four Month Old Zaylee Grace Fryar

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has reissued an AMBER ALERT for missing 4 month old Zaylee Grace Fryar in the Volunteer State. Zaylee Grace Fryar and her mother, 28 year old Shauna Fryar, had been missing since May 1, 2011 from from Millersville in Sumner County, TN. The two were last seen by Fryar’s husband, Michael Fryar, that Sunday.

A body was found in the Cumberland River over the weekend, but the identity of the individual at the time was unknown. However, it has now been determined that it was Shauna Fryar’s body that was found in the Cumberland River near the Jefferson Street bridge on Saturday. According to reports she has a history of drug abuse. Michael Fryar, not the babies father, reported her missing on Thursday, May 5. and said that he was used to Shauna disappearance for days at a time.
Metro Police Lt. Steve Lewis said people told police that they thought they saw a body floating in the river on Saturday. Authorities recovered the body late Saturday afternoon and the medical examiner’s office is looking at the cause of death. Police said there were no signs of trauma.
Metro police helicopters continue to fly over the river in search of the baby, but there is no evidence that the girl is in the water, Lewis said.
