Re – “WARD” Him For What? SETTLE THIS!

The on again, off again world of Ward Churchill looks like will be settled in the not too distant future.
Churchill’s attorney, David Lane, said he expected an agreement shortly but declined to discuss specifics, including the dollar amount and whether it would mean the university would buy out Churchill’s contract.
The Denver Post reported Friday that Churchill and the university had agreed on a sum for a buyout, and that it could be less than $500,000. The newspaper, citing unnamed sources, said neither side had decided whether to accept a buyout deal.
Settlement? Why? Reward Ward Churchill for calling victims of 9-11 “Little Eichmanns“. Reward him for what appears to be false claims that he is of Native American heritage. Reward him for his other writings, speeches and his scholarship. Reward him are even some of his questionable art work. The latest controversy is whether an artwork by Churchill titled “Winter Attack” was copied from a 1972 piece by Thomas Mails, “The Mystic Warriors of the Plains.”
Now it appears there is one more scandal for his resume; he is being accused of plagiarism.
Officials at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia sent CU an internal 1997 report detailing allegations about an article Churchill wrote.
“The article . . . is, in the opinion of our legal counsel, plagiarism,” Dalhousie spokesman Charles Crosby said in summarizing the report’s findings.
Settlement. Buy out of contract. Any other professor would be fired for any one of the above offenses; however, Ward Churchill has amassed such a resume of fraud & contempt that this should be a no brainer for the University of Colorado. Fraud, plagiarism, not once but twice. Do not insult out intelligence, fire him and move on. A State University is going to pay off someone who has breached his employment contract. Why?
Some more info on Ward’s inability to do his own work from The Jawa Report.
