Osama, How’s It Feel To Have the Shoe On the Other Foot
The Democratic Leadership has blamed GWB for everything from the price of gasoline to to the rise in the cost of chocolate. Iraq was a war for oil and the economy is the worst since Hoover. They claim his foreign policy in the Middle East is wrong and that he ignores the War on Terror. The World opinion from countries such as France and Germany have claimed that the US has made matters worse.
Now comes this story out of Spain.
Spain’s Islamic Commission, which groups the nation’s Muslim community, said it was issuing a fatwa against Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden,
‘We are going to issue a fatwa (religious decree) against Bin Laden this afternoon,’ Mansour Escudero, who leads the Federation of Islamic religious entities (Feeri) and co-secretary general of the Spanish governmenmt-created Commission told AFP.The Commission invited Spanish-based imams to condemn terrorism at Friday prayers, when the whole country will be remembering the 191 people who were killed in the train blasts and the 1,900 injured a year ago.
The Commission called on Muslims to take part in Friday’s commemorative programme being organised by Spanish authorities and community groups and to work with them to ensure terrorism was defeated
Although the people of Spain can be commended for their actions, would they have occurred without the lead of GWB? I guess this is just another incident in a long line of coincidences recently that would have occurred with out the tough and tireless leadership of George W. Bush. It would appear the Osama has more to worry about than just the USA.
Hat Tip: Drudge
California Yankee makes some great point:
“American Muslims would have made a lot of points in the U.S., and helped the War Against Terrorism, had they done something like this after 9-11. “
How would things have been different in the US and the World if the entire Muslim community had spoken out against terrorism? Although many did, many more remained silent.
