Obama Trainer Need Lessons from the Elephant In the Room … Health Care Reform Needs to Start from Scratch

After one year of keeping Republicans out of the health care debate President Barack Hussein Obama now says that he is willing to meet Republicans half way on Obamacare. Half way? Interesting as the President said his idea of bipartisanship was listening to Republicans suggestions. Hmm, wouldn’t that mean that he had not been for a year? Who is the Party of “NO”?

“I’m willing to move off some of the preferences of my party, in order to meet them halfway, Obama said. “But there’s got to be some give from their side as well.”

However, Republican leaders state that the entire health care reform issue must be started from scratch. How does one start from a point of a failed 2700 page health care bill that cannot be passed presently?

“It’s going to be very difficult to have a bipartisan conversation with regard to a 2,700-page health care bill that the Democrat majority in the House and the Democrat majority in the Senate can’t pass,” said House Republican Leader John Boehner. “It really is time to scrap the bill and start over.” Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell echoed those sentiments.

Bipartisan? It has been the Democrat leadership in the House and Senate that has tried to ram an unpopular health care bill down the throats of Americans. Hot Air has the summary of Obama’s bipartisan view.

For Democrats, the definition of bipartisanship has always been Republican surrender.  That was true in 1990, and it was true in 1992, and it’s still true today.  The surprise here isn’t the intent of Obama to use bipartisanship to bulldozer GOP opposition to his agenda, but that the media finally reports it as such — and perhaps especially at CBS.
