Stopped to Watch Live 8

And it raised this question after seeing The Who, Sting, and Elton John in succession.

I am about to turn 40 and the most popular acts at the concert predate me? How can this have happened? And what is the state of music that some of the most popular music is really, really old?

Now back to regular programming.
