Fewer Americans Worried about Global Warming … Then Why Cap & Trade … Can Al Gore Just Go Away

The blame man global warming crowd had their chance to BS America and it looks like their days are over. After all of Al Gore’s speeches, movies, book signings, outlandish and outrageous climate exaggerations and Oscars … according to a recent Zogby poll, fewer Americans than ever are concerned about climate change.

Could Climate-gate and the discovery of pro-global warming scientists seen manipulating data and discussing how to prevent dissenting opinions regarding global warming have some thing to do with this? Could the fact that scientists dumped the raw global warming data be a reason? Could the fact that more and more scientists are coming out against the claims of Al Gore and the blame man for global warming crowd? Could the fact that we have actually been in a cold spell be the answer?

In any case, as more and more Americans doubt that man is responsible for global warming … why then does Barack Obama and Democrats looks to pass Cap & Trade that will further destroy the US economy in a time when jobs and economic growth are needed?

Nearly half of Americans, or 49 percent, say they are only slightly or not at all concerned about climate change, while 35 percent are somewhat or highly concerned, the survey shows.

Zogby’s latest poll shows those with more relaxed views on the issue jumped 10 percentage points from 2007, when 39 percent said they were slightly or not at all concerned. In 2007, 48 percent said they were somewhat or highly concerned.

The survey’s results emerge as the United Nations climate change summit in Copenhagen heads into its final week, amid warnings that global warming could eventually melt the polar ice caps, raising sea levels and causing drought and other severe weather conditions.

Also, as reported at the Rasmussen Report, Americans are very skeptical of the science behind global warming.

Most Americans (52%) believe that there continues to be significant disagreement within the scientific community over global warming.

While many advocates of aggressive policy responses to global warming say a consensus exists, the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 25% of adults think most scientists agree on the topic. Twenty-three percent (23%) are not sure.
