Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid Claims Dems Have 60 Votes … Arkansas Sen. Blanche Lincoln Says Yes

Posted in: Barack Obama,Economy,Government,Harry Reid (D-NV),Healthcare,Politics,Senate

According to breaking reports, Senate Majority leader Harry Reid claims that he has the 60 votes to move ahead on historic and terrible health care legislation that will destroy private health care in America.

The scorched earth health care policy moves forward as Dems have 60 votes … government take over of health care debate moves forward. Let this be a valuable lesson to the voters of all Blue states with Democrat Senators, you are not voting for your candidate when casting your ballot, you are electing the liberal political ideology of Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and the socialist agenda of Barack Obama.

Landrieu & Lincoln, let this be a lesson that you cannot trust a Democrat to say no to terrible Party legislation

Forgive these people, for they know not what they do. However, sadly … these elitist know exactly what they are doing and that is not listening to the will of the people. With downward spiraling approval ratings Obama looks to get Obamacare passed ASAP. More and more people are against the government take over of health care, yet that is not stopping the socialist agenda of Democrats.

Harry Reid obviously paid off the last two remaining Senators, as AP calls them, centrist Sens. Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas and Mary Landrieu of Louisiana. Make no mistake about it America, that means you Arkansas and Louisiana, these two are not centrists. No centrist would ever have allowed debate to go forward on this 2074 page piece of trash bill. We all now that Landrieu was paid off with the $100 million provision on page 432 of Reid’s bill. Remember when Obama said he was going to change the way Washington, DC does things and usher in a new era of hope and change to the political process Inside the Beltway? Guess that can go down as one more lie as the quit pro quo payoff to Mary Landrieu for her vote can attest to that.

Landrieu and Lincoln, please do not lie to your constituents or the American people. Your cloture vote all but ensured passage of this healthcare bill that will subjugate Americans to a government controlled health care system.

The truth is this issue is very complex. There is no easy fix and it’s imperative that we build on what’s already working in health care in America,” Lincoln told her Senate colleagues.

Hours earlier, Landrieu had delivered her news. The two represent votes 59 and 60 for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., who needs that many in the 100-member Senate to go forward. The Senate’s 40 Republicans are unanimously opposed.

“I’ve decided that there are enough significant reforms and safeguards in this bill to move forward, but much more work needs to be done,” Landrieu said, with the 8 p.m. EST vote looming.

Arkansas, vote Lincoln out as she obviously cares little about what the people she represents think. Blanche Lincoln is obviously beholden to Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi more than her own constituents. Lincoln’s job approval rating had dropped to 43 percent, from 54 percent a year ago as at least seven Republicans are vying to challenge her bid for a third term

Face it, the American public does not trust the government. Why should they? In a recent Rasmussen poll, 47% of Americans still believe the private sector rather than the federal government has the best chance of keeping health care costs down and the quality of medical care up. The Obama government could not be trusted to provide the properly numbers of jobs created from the $787 billion stimulus pan on Recovery.gov. Hell, they could not even honestly report the Congressional Districts. Do you actually want these people in charge of your health care?

Forty-nine percent (49%) of adults who already have insurance say the private sector would accomplish those goals best, but 34% take the opposing view. Those without insurance are more evenly divided.

Seventy-two percent (72%) of Republicans and 52% of adults not affiliated with either major political party say the private sector has the best chance of achieving these goals. Most Democrats (58%) disagree and have more confidence in the government.
