This is rich … Massachusetts US Representative Barney Franks was present at a police pot bust at the home of  James Ready’s home in Ogunquit, ME, according to reports. Oh, by the way, the bust for possession of drugs took place in August, 2007.

FOX25 has learned that Congressman Barney Frank was present during a marijuana arrest at James Ready’s home in Ogunquit, Maine.  Ready is well-known for his relationship with Congressman Frank.

According to a police report, police charged Ready with marijuana possession, cultivation and use of drug paraphernalia in August of 2007.  Ready admitted to civil possession and paid a fine.  The remaining charges were dismissed in 2008.

Sources tell FOX25 that when Frank was questioned he told police that he did not live in the house and that he only smoked cigars.

Ogunquit, ME eh, lol. Barney Franks told police he was smoking something else.

However, what is more telling of this as stated by Jammie Wearing Fool is how exactly is Frank’s present at a police drug bust and this story never hit the news? This story is two years old. Imagine if it was a drug bust with Republicans present?

The ACORN offices in New Orleans, Louisiana were raided by officials of the AG’s office. Attorney General Buddy Caldwell served a search warrant at the ACORN office at 2609 Canal Street.

Investigators in khaki pants and polo shirts loaded several dozen computers and other electronic items into an SUV. They are also carrying records out of the building on handcarts.

The large office building sits at the corner of Dorgenois and Canal. ACORN staffers were given no notice that a search would be conducted today, Herring said.

One has to wonder just how much these ACORN scandals and criminal activity are going to come back and bite Obama? As Jammie Wearing Fool opined, “Bertha Lewis is unavailable for comment, apparently. She must have to coordinate her talking points with her boss at the White House first”. Any connection with ACORN will be a black mark against any candidate in 2010 and 2012. Barack, you have a problem.

State investigators are searching the New Orleans offices of the activist group ACORN in connection with embezzlement and tax fraud allegations.

Assistant Attorney General David Caldwell said a warrant was obtained to seize computers, hard drives and other documents after ACORN attorneys said two unidentified former employees took computers and other items when they left the organization.

Caldwell said investigators will copy records and hard drives, then return them to ACORN.

As a crowd of protesters shouted “kill the bill,” House Republicans on Thursday rallied opposition against the Democrats’ health care legislation, decrying the bill on the steps of Congress in a last-ditch bid to derail or at least delay the legislation heading toward a possible vote Saturday.

Thousands of protesters arrived by bus for the rally, which the GOP is calling an emergency “House Call.” The event drew the conservative “tea party” activists but unlike past rallies was officially sanctioned by House Republicans.

Republicans want those who attend to track down their elected representatives in Congress and put pressure on them to think twice about voting for the more than $1 trillion health care overhaul pushed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

How is that Hope & Change that Obama promised you now, one year later? Are you better off today than you were one year ago? Don’t ask the millions of employees who lost their jobs. Unemployment hits a 26 year high. For the first time since 1983 unemployment is over 10%.

Nearly 16 million people can’t find jobs even though the worst recession since the Great Depression has apparently ended.

But the loss of jobs last month exceeded economists’ estimates. It’s the 22nd straight month the U.S. economy has shed jobs, the longest on records dating back 70 years.

Counting those who have settled for part-time jobs or stopped looking for work, the unemployment rate would be 17.5 percent, the highest on records dating from 1994.

With unemployment still rising in the United States, employers still cutting jobs and not hiring; the Democrat controlled Congress looks to pass Obamacare and Cap & Trade that will all but destroy the economy. What are these people thinking? Hey Baarck, where are those millions of jobs promised and unemployment holding at 8% if stimulus was passed? So what is this administration doing to create jobs other than blaming Bush?

Just a reminder to Obama and his minions, the exit polling in NJ and VA said that the economy is the number one issue.

On news of the poor job numbers, the stock market fell this morning. According to the Labor Department, U.S. unemployment rose by more than expected in October and employers cut more jobs than the so-called experts forecast. But, we were told that the recession was over?

Here is the damning poll for Barack Hussein Obama … the tide is turning and the trend has started to blame Obama for the bad economy, not GWB. 45% of voters now blame Obama for the bad economy and 49% blame Bush. However, for Obama that is up from 37% a month ago. Obama owns this economy and blaming other will not work any more. What will happen to The One’s poll numbers when a majority of people blame Obama for the now double digit unemployment?

Setting off the decline, the Labor Department said U.S. unemployment rose by more than expected in October and employers cut more jobs than forecast, a sign the labor market continues to struggle as the economy emerges from its deep recession. The unemployment rate, calculated using a survey of households as opposed to companies, rose by 0.4 percentage point to 10.2%, the Labor Department said Friday. Economists surveyed by Dow Jones Newswires had forecast an increase to 9.9%.

Nonfarm payrolls fell by 190,000 last month, with the largest job losses in construction, manufacturing, and retail trade. Economists had expected a 175,000 decrease.

Twelve people have been killed and 30 wounded at Ft Hood in Texas in a heinous and murderous shooting spree. The gunman has been identified as an Army psychiatrist, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan who was supposed to be deployed to Iraq later this month. According to reports, Hasan feared an impending war deployment is in custody as the sole suspect in a shooting rampage at Fort Hood.

Our sympathies and prayers go out to the brave fallen soldiers and their families.

Hasan was initially reported as killed in the following gun battle; however, according to later reports, the Fort Hood shooter is not dead. Hasan survived his wound and is not in danger of dying.

The shooter was initially reported to have been killed, but Lt. Gen. Robert W. Cone told a late night news conference that the suspect was wounded and in custody. Cone would not say what Hasan’s medical condition was, but said the suspect was not in danger of dying.

Hasan is not talking to authorities, said Cone.

Two other soldiers were taken into custody, but were later released.

Deaths are a result of a single gunman, even though initially two other officers were taken into custody. They were later released. Malik Nadal Hasan is a 39 year old graduate of Virginia Tech and a psychiatrist licensed in Virginia who was practicing at Darnall Army Medical Center at Fort Hood. He had previously worked at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. It would appear that Hasan received a poor performance evaluation while at Walter Reed, SHOCKER!

“Our family loves America. We are proud of our country, and saddened by today’s tragedy,” the statement said. “Because this situation is still unfolding, we have nothing else that we are able to share with you at this time.”

Interview with co-worker Terri Lee of Hasan from Fox News via Macsmind. This individual worked with Hasan at the psych ward at Fort Hood. Hasan had made outlandish comments in the past condemning and critical our foreign policy. It cannot be lost on the fact that this killer was a Muslim and had made comments like according to this individual, “maybe Muslims should stand up and fight against the aggressor.” Hasan was referring to Muslims standing up to Americans as he believed that American should not be in Iraq or Afghanistan.

One thing is for certain, there are 12 people dead and over 30 injured. Families, friends, wives, husbands and children are suffering tragic losses tonight. This is believed to be the worst attack ever at a U.S. base, said the commanding general of Fort Hood, Lt. Gen. Robert Cone. This is no time for the press, military or our political leaders to get PC on this heinous mass murder. Call it for what it was … a terror act.

The misguided and gutless Republican Senator of South Carolina, Lindsey Graham, warns Republicans not to go too far right? This is the lesson that you learned from NY-23? Are you kidding? The lesson learned is to never have the Republican Party sell it’s soul and nominate a far left liberal. Stop confusing the issue Graham. Republicans have no issue with moderates, hell you were elected. Scozzafava was no moderate.

“To those people who are pursuing purity, you’ll become a club not a party,” Graham told POLITICO in the Capitol Wednesday. “Those people who are trying to embrace conservatism in a thoughtful way that fits the region and the state and the district are going to do well. Conservativism is an asset. Blind ideology is not.”

A note to Lindsey Graham … NY-23’s Scozzafava was not a RINO, she was a bed wetting liberal. SHE WAS NOT A MODERATE!!! She was a LIBERAL in wolf’s clothing. Case and point when she dropped out and backed the Democrat. Does the Republican powers that be and the brain child Senator fro SC think that Scozzafava would have ever voted with the Republicans? HARDLY! She probably if elected as a Republican would have voted for Pelosi as Speaker of the House.

The Republican Party should be as Hot Air states, that centrists and conservatives should come together and build a future. However, that bridge has to go to some where and the road map has to have a direction. A question to Lindsey Graham … how far left of a RINO is he willing to accept? Personally, there is no room in the tent and should never be for an individual like Scozzafava who believes in no Conservative and Republican core values.  NONE, NADA, NIL!

The lesson that should be learned by Republicans is to nominate Republicans that are center-right. Hoffman would have won this race if he actually had the backing of the RNC from the outset. Not two days before the election. It was a $1 million lesson learned by the RNC as their candidate ends up backing the Democrat.

Once again Weasel Zippers nails it in print and pic. It’s kind of hard to take Lindsey Graham seriously or support him when he is working behind the scenes with Mass Democrat John Kerry on Cap & Trade.

The elections last night had nothing to do with me and how I have none nothing but make idle promises about job creation with a faux stimulus bill, yeah, that’s the ticket,

Hey Barack, last nights votes in New Jersey and Virginia were an even greater mandate for CHANGE … and not a vote for your socialism, big government spending change.

Democrats and Barack Obama can spin this all they want as to what happened last night in the off-off year election. The fact of the matter is, it was a terrible night for Democrats and an even worse one for Barack Obama. If any one does not think that there is momentum from “We the People” and anger about what the party in power in DC is doing, you are blind.

Blue Dog Democrats, not only have you been warned in Town Hall meetings, last night you were provided a view of your future if you continue down the path and support Obama’s socialist policies.

We are told that these off year elections are all about local politics. Really? Then why did Barack Obama interject himself into both the Virginia and New Jersey Governor’s races? Down to the wire the Obamamessiah was campaigning for Corzine in New Jersey. To absolutely no avail. Democrat Creigh Deeds was destroyed in a 19 point landslide vote where the election might have been called right as the polls closed. Then in the deep blue state of NJ, Corzine loses by 4% in what some thought would be a close race,

Obama had been looked upon by Democrats as being invincible, untouchable and able to walk on water. As Tuesday night pointed out, the Obamamessiah was not able to even walk on the water that was the Passaic River in NJ.

The Obama invincibility that was so much in evidence then seems to have lost its power. People can argue the reasons why these elections, all in places Obama carried handily, were so close. But if he were the political marvel he was thought to be, these races wouldn’t have been contests, but walkovers. So one consequence of this Election Day is the end of his special political magic.

That’s no surprise — as that magic was a largely substanceless froth whipped up by campaign consultants and compliant big-media cheerleaders.

Democrats, the media and Obama’s minions can spin the election results all they want that none of what happened is a direct reflection on Barack Obama. They would be sorely wrong. The People are angry. Their number one issue in exit polling was the economy.

At week end it is hight possible that unemployment numbers may come in at or over 10%. Whether it be this month or next, unemployment will go to double digits. Barack Obama is tied to the economy. The fact that we keep losing jobs is not lost on the American people.

Eventually, not even Obama’s personality is going to save him from his policies and how the American voter perceives him. In 2008 Americans voted in Obama because they wanted change; however, never in a million years did the average voter think that change meant socialism. CBS stated that Obama was a non-factor, really? As Hot Air states, Obama was a factor on election day, but not the main factor. Not yet that is.

A majority of voters in both states said they are worried about the direction of the nation’s economy over the next year. 85 percent of Virginia voters said they are worried, as are 89 percent of voters in New Jersey. These percentages were similar on Election Day in 2008.

Obama’s popularity will never be higher than it was in 2008 when voters across America decided to take part in a social experiment rather than electing a capable President. 2008 was an anomaly as so many Independents who voted for Obama have since distanced them self from his hard left policies.

Obamacare, government out of control spending, Cap & Trade, record federal deficits, indecision in Afghanistan and soon double digit unemployment all spell trouble for Democrats and Obama’s image in 2010. There is no way that a hostile and angry electorate is going to give the party in power a free pass.

The wind of change is in the air and it has nothing to do with Barack Obama.

Could that circle be the key to where she is and what happened to her?

The State of Maine, what has become the liberal State of Maine lately has rejected the gay marriage law. The Maine voters have repealed the state law that would have allowed same sex couples to marry. What is most interesting about gay marriage legislation? It has never passed in a state that had the courage to put it to a popular vote of the the people.

Maine voters just say NO to Gay Marriage.

Maine voters repealed a state law Tuesday that would have allowed same-sex couples to wed, dealing the gay rights movement a heartbreaking defeat in New England, the corner of the country most supportive of gay marriage.

Gay marriage has now lost in every single state — 31 in all — in which it has been put to a popular vote. Gay-rights activists had hoped to buck that trend in Maine — known for its moderate, independent-minded electorate — and mounted an energetic, well-financed campaign.

With 87 percent of the precincts reporting, gay-marriage foes had 53 percent of the votes.

The voting turnout was higher than expected which is some what unusual in an off year election. It would appear that the masses came out in opposition of the same sex marriage bill.

Maine Secretary of State Matt Dunlap told me just now that turnout there is far exceeding his projections — news that would be good news for backers of same-sex marriage.

“We’re seeing heavy and very steady turnout,” he said, attributing the surprise to the contested vote on a “people’s veto” of a same-sex marriage law driving Mainers to the polls.

Gay marriage repealed in Maine

Who knew that the throngs of people that went to the polls in Maine Tuesday were to vote against Gay Marriage. One thought high turnout would have meant gay marriage would have passed. To the contrary … In a shocker, Maine Gay marriage law goes up in flames.

“Question 1 has passed,” Frank Schubert, campaign manager of Stand for Marriage Maine, announced in Portland. “It has all come together tonight and the institution of marriage has been preserved.”
