YouGov/Economist Poll: Russian President Vladimir Putin is a Stronger Leader Than President Obama

It would appear that riding shirtless on horseback beats mom jeans …

According to a YouGov/Economist survey, 78% viewed Russian President Vladimir Putin as somewhat to very strong leader, while just 45% saw Barack Obama the same way. Gee, ya think? You are comparing an ex-KGB official with a community organizer, need anyone say more. The 45% is some what high in my opinion. Exactly what has Barack Obama done to show he is a leader, let alone a strong one? One does not have to like Putin, or agree with anything he does or says to understand he is a stronger leader than Obama. Vladimire Putin is running circles around this naive president as Russian troops mass at the Ukraine border. Welcome to what America would have looked like had Ronald Regan not defeated Jimmy Carter in 1980.

You make the call

Maybe it is the photos of him posing shirtless on horseback, or his military push into Ukraine, but Americans in a new poll believe Russian President Vladimir Putin is a much stronger leader than President Obama.

A YouGov/Economist survey of 1,000 adults interviewed March 8-10 found that 78 percent view Putin as somewhat to very strong leader. Just 45 percent see Obama the same way. Worse, more Americans, 55 percent, view Obama as a weak leader.

The poll comes as the president is struggling with a response to Putin’s push into Ukraine and expectations that Crimea will break off and join Russia.

Stuck on Stupid: Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) Belives the US Constitution is 400 Years Old

Welcome to the product of some good Democrat public school education indoctrination …

Yesterday on the House floor, the People’s House, Shelila Jackson Lee (D-TX) declared in her ramblings that the U.S. Constitution was 400 years old. HUH, 400 years old? But that would make the Constitution signed in 1614. I am fairly sure that George Washington, James Madison, Alexander Hamilton and Benjamin Franklin, all signers of the Constitution were not even born in 1614. Who knew that right after Pocahontas and John Rolfe were married in 1614 that they did not go on a honeymoon, but instead started writing the US Constitution.

No wonder we can’t get Democrats to follow the Constitution, they are going off one that might have been written by Pocahontas.

Newsflash to the not so bright Sheila Jackson Lee … The U.S. Constitution was formally adopted on Sept. 17, 1787. But do not let your hearts be troubles, she was only off by 173 years. I think that is considered a passing score with Common Core. Or Maxwell Smart, Agent 86, would say … “missing it by that much”.  Yale and Virginia Law School must be so proud.

These people are in charge of making laws that affect us, REALLY? America, would you please wake the hell up and elect people who might actually have a clue! This latest comment brought to us by the individual who thought that Mars Rover would be able to show “the flag the astronauts planted there before”. Um, that would have been the moon, ma’am.

“Maybe I should offer a good thanks to the distinguished members of the majority, the Republicans, my chairman and others, for giving us an opportunity to have a deliberative constitutional discussion that reinforces the sanctity of this nation and how well it is that we have lasted some 400 years, operating under a Constitution that clearly defines what is constitutional and what is not.”

Sarah Palin Re-Writes Dr. Seuss’ Green Eggs & Ham at CPAC: “I Do Not Like This Uncle Sam, I Do Not Like His Health Care Scam”

Sarah Palin wows them at CPAC with her on version of Green Eggs and Ham, in honor of Sen. Ted Cruz’s (TX-R) reading of the Dr. Seuss classic during his filibuster last year,   … “I Do Not Like This Uncle Sam, I Do Not Like His Health Care Scam”

“I do not like this Uncle Sam. I do not like his health care scam. I do not like — oh, just you wait — I do not like these dirty crooks, or how they lie and cook the books. I do not like when Congress steals, I do not like their crony deals. I do not like this spying, man, I do not like, ‘Oh, Yes we can.’ I do not like this spending spree, we’re smart, we know there’s nothing free. I do not like reporters’ smug replies when I complain about their lies. I do not like this kind of hope, and we won’t take it, nope, nope, nope.”

Minnesota High School Forces 14 Year Old Kayona Hagen-Tietz to Stand Outside in a Sopping Wet Swim Suit Because of a Fire Alarm, Gets Frost Bite

What happened to the Country I grew up in, public school edition: HAVE PUBLIC SCHOOLS COMPLETELY LOST ALL COMMON SENSE?

The brain surgeons at Como Park Senior High School in St. Paul, Minnesota forced 14 year old Kayona Hagen-Tietz to stand outside in the 5 degrees below zero weather with  a windchill of 25 degrees below zero in a sopping wet swim suit because of a fire alarm. Kayona had been swimming in the school pool when a science experiment went wrong and set off the fire alarms. It is reported that school administrators would not let the female student retrieve her clothes, sit in a teachers car or wait inside another building. Guess what happened next … SHE SUFFERED FROSTBITE!!!   The 14 year old girl had asked if she could wait inside an employee’s car, or at the elementary school across the street to get out of the cold; however, school administrators believed that this would violate official policy, and could get the school in trouble. So they opted to simply let the girl freeze. So basically, the school allowed 14 year old Kayona Hagen-Tietz to get frostbite so that the Como Park High School could conduct an unplanned fire drill without violating a school fraternization rule … Are these people insane!!!

Dumb

A Minnesota public high school was so committed to obeying its fire drill policy to the exact letter of the law that it forced a female student–dressed only in a swimsuit, and sopping wet–to stand outside in the freezing cold for ten minutes. As a result, she suffered frostbite.

Administrators wouldn’t let the student retrieve her clothes, sit in a car or wait inside another building, according to WCCO.

The trouble began when a small science experiment triggered the fire alarm at Como Park Senior High School in St. Paul, Minnesota. Fourteen-year-old Kayona Hagen-Tietz was swimming in the school pool for health class at the time. Her clothes were in her locker, and a teacher told her that there was no time for her to change. Hagen-Tietz was rushed outside–still wet and dressed in only swimsuit.

These people are supposed to be the educators, right? I am sensing a well deserved lawsuit.

EXIT QUESTION: If it was a school policy not to go into a burning building and rescue of student from a fire, would school officials just let the student burn to death?

Hey Liberals, Remember When Sarah Palin Predicted in 2008 That If Obama was Elected President, Putin and Russia Would Invade Ukraine … SHE WAS RIGHT!

HEY AMERICA, HOW’S THAT “HOPEY-CHANGEY STUFF” WORKING OUT FOR YA?

Remember in 2008 when then GOP Vice Presidential nominee said during a campaign rally in a Reno, Nevada, “After the Russian Army invaded the nation of Georgia, Senator Obama’s reaction was one of indecision and moral equivalence, the kind of response that would only encourage Russia’s Putin to invade Ukraine next.” Palin was mocked profusely for her comments by the Left and the liberal MSM. Flash-forward to present day …  GUESS WHO WAS CORRECT? Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is now saying “I told you so” from her Facebook page following reports of a Putin – Russian “military invasion” in the Crimean area of Ukraine.

Sarah_Palin

Um, I’m usually not one to Told-Ya-So, but I did …

Yes, I could see this one from Alaska. I’m usually not one to Told-Ya-So, but I did, despite my accurate prediction being derided as “an extremely far-fetched scenario” by the “high-brow” Foreign Policy magazine. Here’s what this “stupid” “insipid woman” predicted back in 2008: “After the Russian Army invaded the nation of Georgia, Senator Obama’s reaction was one of indecision and moral equivalence, the kind of response that would only encourage Russia’s Putin to invade Ukraine next.”

With special thanks to JWF, they found this liberal gem from the past where Sarah Palin was mocked for her foreign policy comments regarding what would happen between Russian and Ukraine if Barack Obama was elected in 2008.

Palin helpfully offered four scenarios for such a crisis, one of which was this strange one:

After the Russian Army invaded the nation of Georgia, Senator Obama’s reaction was one of indecision and moral equivalence, the kind of response that would only encourage Russia’s Putin to invade Ukraine next.

As we’ve said before, this is an extremely far-fetched scenario. And given how Russia has been able to unsettle Ukraine’s pro-Western government without firing a shot, I don’t see why violence would be necessary to bring Kiev to heel. Watch the upcoming parliamentary elections in December to see if Moscow gets the pliable new government it wants.

So where are all those Democrats, Libs and liberal media types with their apologies? Doesn’t it just crush liberals that Sarah Palin was more correct on Russia than their Obamamessiah.

Secretary of State John Kerry Shames Russia for Invading Ukraine: “It’s Really 19th Century Behavior in the 21st Century”

Does President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry realize that Russian President Vladimir Putin is former KGB … he has no shame.

Secretary of State John Kerry made an appearance on NBC’s ‘Meet the Press’ today to discuss the current crisis with the Russian invasion of the Crimea region in Ukraine. Sec. Kerry spoke sternly toward the Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine. Kerry said to David Gregory, “you just don’t invade another country on phony pretext in order to assert your interests.”  Does the Obama administration understand that Putin thinks that you do invade another country to assert your interests? Kerry’s tough talk ought to make Putin reconsider invasion. NOT!!!

Well, we’re now discussing all of the options. This is an act of aggression that is completely trumped up in terms of its pretext. It’s really 19th-century behavior in the 21st century, and there’s no way to start with that if Russia persists in this, that the G8 countries are going to reassemble in Sochi. That’s a starter. But there’s much more than that.

Just a note to Barack Obama and John Kerry, Vladimir Putin is not John Boehner nor Mitch McConnell.

Full transcript can be read here at NBC News, ‘Meet the Press’.

SECRETARY JOHN KERRY:

Well, we’re now discussing all of the options. This is an act of aggression that is completely trumped up in terms of its pretext. It’s really 19th-century behavior in the 21st century, and there’s no way to start with that if Russia persists in this, that the G8 countries are going to reassemble in Sochi. That’s a starter. But there’s much more than that.

Russia has major investment in trade needs and desires. I think there’s a unified view by all of the foreign ministers I talked with yesterday, all of the G8 and more, that they’re simply going to isolate Russia. That they’re not going to engage with Russia in a normal, business-as-usual manner.

Because Russia is inviting opprobrium on the international stage. There could even be ultimately asset freezes, visa bans. There could be certainly a disruption of any of the normal trade routine, and there could be business drawback on investment in the country. The ruble is already going down and feeling the impact of this.

And the reason for this, David, is because you just don’t invade another country on phony pretext in order to assert your interests. There are ways to deal with this. And President Putin knows that. President Obama yesterday offered mediation. There are plenty of ways to protect Russian-speaking people in Crimea or other parts of Ukraine. But they are really sort of a hidden pretext here, possibly trying to annex Crimea.

UNREAL … Barack Obama Skips National Security Team Meeting on Russia and Ukraine, But He Declares “Happy Hour” for Democrats

This president is just not serious about anything unless it has to do with Obamacare … God Help Us!

As reported at The Weekly Standard, President Obama’s team met the other day to discuss the ongoing situation on Ukraine as Russia is invades the and Barack Obama was no where to be found. But don’t worry, Susan Rice, Obama’s National Security adviser, briefed him. Yes, the same Susan Rice. Former Democrat President Bill Clinton played the sax; however, it looks like Nero Obama is playing the violin.

A White House official emailed some reporters to say that President Obama’s team met today to discuss the ongoing situation on Ukraine. It appears President Obama did not attend.

According to Time magazine’s Zeke Miller, Obama skipped the meeting. “Obama did not attend the meeting, but WH official says he has been briefed by Susan Rice and his national security team,” says Miller.

But wait, on Friday after the Russians sent troops in Ukraine, Barack Obama completed his “Russian Speech”, he did find the time to declare an official ‘happy hour’ with Democratic Party. What is wrong with this guy? He finds the time to go on ‘The View’ and do NCAA Basketball bracketology, but foreign policy meetings as the Russians invade is off limits.

WITH BARACK OBAMA AS PRESIDENT, JOE BIDEN AS VP AND JOHN KERRY AS SECRETARY OF STATE … GOD HELP US ALL …

Remember When Barack Obama Ridiculed Mitt Romney During 2012 Presidential Debates about Russia … ‘1980s Are Calling to Ask for Their Foreign Policy Back’ … How Do Those “Rose Colored” Glasses Fit There Barack?

Yet another reason why you don’t elect, let alone reelect SNARK or a Campaigner is Chief …

Remember when Barack Obama made the snide, wise-a$$, ridiculing comment during the 2012 presidential debates to GOP candidate Mitt Romney regarding Russia and that the 1980′s want their foreign policy back? And everyone thought Obama was so cute making such a witty comment. So what do you think of Obama’s comments now as Russia and Vladimir Putin have invaded Ukraine.  Just curious America, how’s that “Hopey-Changey” stuff working out for ya? Where is your Moses Obamamessiah now? By the way Barack, how do those rose colored glasses fit?

Fox News’ Bret Baier opened a segment of his show Friday night by flashing back to an October 2012 presidential debate where President Obama ridiculed Republican presidential nominee Romney about his concern over Russia’s “geo-political” threat.

“You said Russia. Not Al Qaida. You said Russia,” Obama said regarding biggest threats. “The 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because…the cold war’s been over for 20 years.”

VIDEO – Newsbusters

Mitt Romney’s intelligent, powerful and correct retort was as follows:

“Russia, I indicated, is a geopolitical foe … and I said in the same paragraph I said and Iran is the greatest national security threat we face. Russia does continue to battle us in the U.N. time and time again. I have clear eyes on this. I’m not going to wear rose-colored glasses when it comes to Russia or Mr. Putin …”

Is it any wonder why at this moment so many Americans wish that had a do-over of the 2012 presidential election and they would not vote for Barack Obama. He has been wrong and an epic failure on everything in be domestic and foreign policy. What else would you expect but snark from an individual who was completely unqualified to be president?

Russian President Putin Laughs at Obama’s Weak Statements as Russian Troops Invade the Crimea Region of Ukraine (Update: Russian Parliament Unanimously Approves Military Intervention in Ukraine)

Elections do have consequences, especially when you elect a community agitator, a Campaigner in Chief, a Golfer in Chief, rather than a serious Commander in Chief …

Russian President Vladimir Putin looks to bring back the footprint and prestige of the former Soviet Union while Barack Obama makes the United States less influential and respected in the world. President Barack Obama issued a stern warning to Putin that Russia’s actions were a  “clear violation,” “breach of International law” in Ukraine. Obama also went on to say “that he was deeply concerned” and “there would be costs” and the U.S. would stop participating in preparatory meetings for the G8 summit set to be held in Sochi June 4-5. Obama said in an unscheduled statement from the White House briefing room, “Any violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity would be deeply destabilizing, which is not in the interests of Ukraine, Russia or Europe.” I am guessing that Putin has made a cost/benefit analysis that it is in the best interest of Russia. Who honesty thinks that Putin is afraid of anything Obama says?

As the rest of the world watches Ukraine, so does the White House.

Amid reports of Russian military and paramilitary presence in Ukraine, President Obama spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin for 90 minutes today, calling on Russia to withdraw its forces.

Obama “expressed his deep concern over Russia’s clear violation of Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity, which is a breach of international law,” according to a White House readout, warning that Russia’s activity “would negatively impact Russia’s standing in the international community” and “will lead to greater political and economic isolation,” according to the White House’s paraphrasing.

The U.S. will also stop participating in preparatory meetings for the G8 summit set to be held in Sochi June 4-5, the White House said.

UPDATE I: Charles Krauthammer: ‘The Ukrainians – and I Think Everybody – Are Shocked by the Weakness of Obama’s Statements’.

Some were astonished by Barack Obama’s comments as being incredibly weak, present company included. If you watch the above video and Obama’s statements you can see that this president does not get it. The weak, naive president’s statement sounded in more of a professorial lecture of a laundry list of feel good items like Obama was at a State of the Union speech rather than facing down a ruthless individual. Putin is KGB, he is merely laughing at Obama’s weak response and wanting no part in confrontation.

The Blaze reports on Charles Krauthammer’s comments from Fox News ‘Special Report’. Welcome to what 1980 would have looked like had the voters of the United States not had the common sense and where with all to elect Ronald Reagan over Jimmy Carter.

Syndicated columnist and political commentator Charles Krauthammer on Friday said President Barack Obama’s statement on the alleged Russian invasion of Crimea, Ukraine, was so weak it was “staggering.” In fact, he argued the president “could not have issued a more flaccid statement.”

Krauthammer told Bret Baier that the “Ukrainians — and I think everybody — are shocked by the weakness of Obama’s statements.”

“I find it rather staggering,” he added. “What he’s saying is we’re not going to really do anything, and we’re telling the world.”

UPDATE II: Russian President Vladimir Putin in calls Obama’s bluff and invades the Ukraine.

But the request appeared likely to go unheeded as the Kremlin issued a defiant-sounding statement saying Putin stressed to Obama that the situation in Ukraine poses “real threats” to the life and health of Russian citizens and compatriots who live in Ukrainian territory.

“Vladimir Putin emphasized that, in the case of a further spread in violence in eastern regions (of Ukraine) and Crimea, Russia maintains the right to protect its interests and the Russian-speaking population that lives there,” the Kremlin statement said.

Russia Invaded Ukraine: ‘Invasion’ by Russian Soldiers

Russia invading Ukraine  … Looks like a scene from ‘Red Dawn’

Putin’s War in Crimea Could Soon Spread to Eastern Ukraine And nobody—not the U.S., not NATO—can stop him, Welcome to 1979 and Jimmy Carter.

Why is Putin doing this? Because he can. That’s it, that’s all you need to know. The situation in Kiev—in which people representing one half of the country (the Ukrainian-speaking west) took power to some extent at the expense of the Russian-speaking east—created the perfect opportunity for Moscow to divide and conquer. As soon as the revolution in Kiev happened, there was an unhappy rumbling in the Crimea, which has a large Russian population and is home to the Russian Black Sea Fleet. It was a small rumbling, but just big enough for Russia to exploit. And when such an opportunity presents itself, one would be foolish not to take it, especially if one’s name is Vladimir Putin.

UPDATE III: Russian Parliament Unanimously Approves Military Intervention in Ukraine, even after Russians had already invaded the Crimean peninsula.

Russia’s parliament approved a motion to use the country’s military in Ukraine after a request from President Vladimir Putin as protests in Russian-speaking cities turned violent Saturday, sparking fears of a wide-scale invasion.

The motion follows President Barack Obama’s warning Friday “there will be costs” if Russia intervenes militarily, sharply raising the stakes in the conflict over Ukraine’s future and evoking memories of Cold War brinkmanship.

“I’m submitting a request for using the armed forces of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine pending the normalization of the socio-political situation in that country,” Putin said in his request sent to parliament.

I cannot reiterate more the words from The Lonely Conservative“Elections have consequences. Not just for us here in the US, but for the world. Mission accomplished.” Amen Sister!!!

“Piers Morgan Live” Soon to be Piers Morgan Canceled … CNN Gives Low Ratings Show the Axe … Get Ready for his Kicking & Screaming

CNN is giving ‘Piers Morgan Live’ given the boot … Piers Morgan, Not-So Live.

As reported at The Politico, CNN is canceling Piers Morgan’s low rated 9pm show. The 3 year experience to replace Larry King Live has crashed and burned badly with a prime time show that got consistently low ratings. CNN stated that the show could end as early as next month. It probably could not happen soon enough as “Piers Morgan Live” is simply unwatchable. So who will be next up for CNN to take on Megyn Kelly on Fox News and Rachel Maddow at MSNBC at 9PM? Some seem to think Bill Weir. All we know for now is that Piers Morgan is out … good riddance to bad rubbish!

The below video is exhibit 1 of the reason why Piers Morgan’s show has been canceled. Guests Dana Loesch and Scottie Hughes own Morgan in the gun debate so much so at the very end the CNN host winds up in a snit … “It makes me sick”. Actually Piers, your show made many more sick and the reason why no one watched it0 One last thing … Bu-bye!!!

CNN President Jeff Zucker has decided to bring an end to Piers Morgan’s low-rated primetime show, network sources told POLITICO on Sunday. “Piers Morgan Live” could end as early as next month, though Morgan may stay with the network in another role.

Morgan, a former British tabloid editor, replaced Larry King in the 9 p.m. hour three years ago, prior to Zucker’s tenure as president. His show earned consistently low ratings, registering as few as 50,000 viewers in the 25-to-54 year-old demographic earlier this week.

“CNN confirms that Piers Morgan Live is ending,” Allison Gollust, head of CNN communications, told POLITICO on Sunday after an earlier version of this post was published. “The date of the final program is still to be determined.”

Earlier on Sunday, Morgan told The New York Times that the show had “run its course” and that he and Zucker “have been talking for some time about different ways of using me.” Sources who spoke to POLITICO said the decision to end the show was Zucker’s.

Live + Same Day Cable News Daily Ratings for Thursday,  February 20, 2014:

Check out the unbelievable, consistent low ratings of Piers Morgan. It is hard to believe they stuck with him this long. The funny part is I have watched more shows of American Greed on CNBC than Piers.

CNN_Piers Morgan ratings

As The Other McCain opines, this is the “first smart move that network has made in years.” I could not agree more. The money line comes from The Guardian that emphasize the following comments from the New York Times article that Morgan was a square peg in a round hole. Really, after all this time CNN finally figured out that a liberal Brit going against the United States Constitution and the First Amendment was a bad thing? God figure.

“It’s been a painful period and lately we have taken a bath in the ratings,” Morgan told the New York Times, which first broke news of the CNN decision on Sunday.

“Look, I am a British guy debating American cultural issues, including guns, which has been very polarizing, and there is no doubt that there are many in the audience who are tired of me banging on about it.”

LOL, remember when Piers Morgan told CBS News during his book tour that, “I will be taken out of CNN kicking and screaming. I absolutely love it. It’s a fantastic network. It’s a great news place to be.”
