Libyan Officials Claim US Was Warned 3 Days Before Deadly Benghazi Consulate Attack

Four Americans, Ambassador Christopher Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone Snowden Woods and Glen Doherty, were murdered in Libya on 9-11 at the US Consulate in Benghazi.  The haunting and heinous pictures at the Daily Mail show that these Americans heroes were dragged to their death. Now we learn the following, 3 days before the attacks on the US Consulate, local Libyan officials warned the United States of the situation in Libya and the deteriorating security in Benghazi.

Three days before the deadly assault on the United States consulate in Libya, a local security official says he met with American diplomats in the city and warned them about deteriorating security.

Jamal Mabrouk, a member of the February 17th Brigade, told CNN that he and a battalion commander had a meeting about the economy and security.

He said they told the diplomats that the security situation wasn’t good for international business.

“The situation is frightening, it scares us,” Mabrouk said they told the U.S. officials. He did not say how they responded.

Mabrouk said it was not the first time he has warned foreigners about the worsening security situation in the face of the growing presence of armed jihadist groups in the Benghazi area.

We are reminded at the Gateway Pundit that Egypt warned of attacks on US Embassies in advance as well in advance of any so-called anti-Mohammed movie trailer.

Egypt’s General Intelligence Service warned that a jihadi group is planning to launch terrorist attacks against the US and Israeli embassies in Cairo, according to a report Tuesday by Egypt Independent, citing a secret letter obtained by Al-Masry Al-Youm.

According to the report, the attack is being planned by Global Jihad, the group suspected of killing 16 Egyptian border guards in Sinai on August 5.

Jay Carney told reporters today that the Middle East protests were in response to a video, not directed at United States policy, not to the Administration (of course not), and not toward the America people. Because when it comes down to it, Obama and his minions have to save Obama, the hell with everything else. As stated at the Daily Caller, the most important thing to remember with the fact that the Middle East is on fire is that it has nothing to do with the Obama Administration and its policies.

Sorry President Barack Obama, from the apologetic Cairo speech, to thumbing your nose at Israel, to your notion that the Arab Spring would promote democracy, to sitting on your hands when Iranians wanted freedom to your lack of response to the current chaos in the Middle East that say four Americans murdered and dragged through the streets … YOU BUILT THIS!

Again, this is not in any way justifying violence, and we have spoken very clearly out against that and condemned it. And the president is making sure in his conversations with leaders around the region that they are committed as hosts to diplomatic facilities to protect both personnel and buildings and other facilities that are part of the U.S. representation in those countries.

Talk about playing politics with the crisis in the Middle East. Obama and his minions will do and say anything to deflect the blame from the explosion that took place in Egypt and Libya and the escalated to 21 countries. Obama and his spin machine have tried to tout Obama as strong on foreign policy. Sorry, appeasement is never a wise idea for foreign policy. The VIDEO was merely an excuse for radical Islam to pounce.  So we are supposed to believe that four murdered Americans in Libya, chants of death to the USA, burning of likenesses of Obama in effigy and protests across the Middle East and the world a just a result of a video? How small is this president? Or is he just that dangerously naive? An ounce of leadership would have been the call Mr. President, not continuing to to be the Campaigner in Chief.

According to the Independent, the Obama Administration was warned of an embassy attack but did nothing. It is being reported that, “according to senior diplomatic sources, the US State Department had credible information 48 hours before mobs charged the consulate in Benghazi, and the embassy in Cairo, that American missions may be targeted.” Many are  questioning a couple of things that occurred that day. One, how does anyone think that sending out an appeasement PR statement against the anti-Mohammed movie think that would work; two, how was it allowed to stay up as long as it did; three, where was the beefed up security on 9-11 anniversary and four, how was a US Ambassador allowed to be in a location that had so little protection and security on 9-11?

The killings of the US ambassador to Libya and three of his staff were likely to have been the result of a serious and continuing security breach, The Independent can reveal.

American officials believe the attack was planned, but Chris Stevens had been back in the country only a short while and the details of his visit to Benghazi, where he and his staff died, were meant to be confidential.

The US administration is now facing a crisis in Libya. Sensitive documents have gone missing from the consulate in Benghazi and the supposedly secret location of the “safe house” in the city, where the staff had retreated, came under sustained mortar attack. Other such refuges across the country are no longer deemed “safe”.

Some of the missing papers from the consulate are said to list names of Libyans who are working with Americans, putting them potentially at risk from extremist groups, while some of the other documents are said to relate to oil contracts.

According to senior diplomatic sources, the US State Department had credible information 48 hours before mobs charged the consulate in Benghazi, and the embassy in Cairo, that American missions may be targeted, but no warnings were given for diplomats to go on high alert and “lockdown”, under which movement is severely restricted.

Yup, I guess President Barack Obama does not need daily intelligence meeting, the turmoil and explosion in the Middle East is a perfect example. BO’s got it covered and is handling it perfectly. According to the public schedule of the president, the last time the Obama attended his daily intelligence meeting was Sept. 5 — a week before Islamist radicals stormed our embassy in Cairo and terrorists killed our ambassador to Tripoli. The president was scheduled to hold the intelligence meeting at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday, the day after the attacks, but it was canceled so that he could comfort grieving employees at the State Department — as well he should. But instead of rescheduling the intelligence briefing for later in the day, Obama apparently chose to skip it altogether and attend a Las Vegas fundraiser for his re-election campaign. The protests in Egypt and deadly riots in Libya and Egypt have spilled over now to Yemen and Tunisia.Protesters in Yemen climbed the US Embassy walls ripping down the American flag yelling “death to America”. After waiting for hours following the attacks of out foreign embassies and the death of Ambassador Stevens and three other Americans in Libya, Barack Obama claimed that we would get those responsible for these heinous acts. Then what did Obama, the Commander in Chief do? Well, he went on to campaign in Nevada of course become the Campaigner in Chief and completely trivializing the fact that four Americans were dead, murdered at a US Consulate on 9-11 on his watch. As reported at the Politico, a Consulate that had no Marines protesting it on of all days, the anniversary of 9-11. How could there have been such a screw up? Right Scoop asks why the MSM is not posing the question to Obama, why was this facility so ill prepared and protected, especially on 9-11? Of course we and most honest thinking people know the answer is because the MSM is in the tank for Obama.

In Sana, witnesses said Yemeni security forces had tried to disperse a crowd at the fortified embassy compound in the east of Sana, the capital. But protesters broke through an outer perimeter protecting the embassy, clambering over a high wall and setting fire to a building.

They were forced to retreat after trying to plunder furniture and computers, the witnesses said.

Security forces guarding the embassy fired into the air as protesters set fire to two vehicles and burned tires. Protesters tore down and burned an American flag, replacing it with their own banner proclaiming the Islamic faith, witnesses said.

The protests and riots continue in Cairo, Egypt as President Barack Obama continue to escalate with no end in sight. Obviously, the stern words by Barack Obama yesterday have fallen on deaf Muslim ears. The protests are supposed to be even larger on Friday as Muslims get ready for Friday prayer.

CNN: Protests ramp up at embassies in Tehran, Switzerland, Cairo, Yemen

Riot police fired warning shots and tear gas early Thursday outside the U.S. Embassy in Cairo to keep hundreds of protesters, while demonstrators in the Yemeni capital city of Sana’a breached a wall at the American mission, witnesses and government officials said.

The protests are the latest to roil the Middle East over the online release of a film produced in the United States that denigrates Prophet Mohammed.

Several thousand protesters demonstrated outside the embassy in Sana’a, with some breaching the embassy’s security wall.

“Given recent regional developments, earlier this morning, angry protesters unfortunately flooded the security perimeter of the U.S. embassy in Sana’a, Yemen and breached the embassy’s wall,” according to a statement released by Yemen through its embassy in Washington.

A tomato struck an Egyptian official in the face, and shoes and a water bottle landed near the armoured cars carrying Clinton’s delegation in the port city of Alexandria.

A senior state department official said that neither Clinton nor her vehicle, which were around the corner from the incident, were struck by any of the projectiles.

Protesters chanted: “Monica, Monica”, a reference to Former President Bill Clinton’s extra-marital affair. Some chanted: “leave, Clinton”, Egyptian security officials said.

As reported at MSNBC, prominent Christian Egyptians snubbed Secretary of State Hillary Clinton because they claim that the Barack Obama administration favored the Muslim Brotherhood over other secular parties in Egypt. Honestly, can you blame them? As stated at Atlas Shrugs, “Why isn’t this splashed all over the Obama-media? No, the enemedia is too obsessed with the presidential year’s “Haliburton” ….Bain Capitol. How is the whole world know who and what Obama is, and the American people don’t?

Prominent Christian Egyptians snubbed Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Sunday because they feel the U.S. administration favors Islamist parties over secular and liberal forces in society at the expense of Egypt’s 8 million Christians.

The critical theme was repeated by others Sunday in Cairo and Alexandria despite Clinton denying U.S. interference in Egyptian elections.

The politicians, businessmen and clerics who snubbed Clinton were supposed to take part in meetings between Clinton and influential members of civil society.

Coptic Bishop Morcos and Evangelical church leader Safwat al Bayadi refused to meet with Clinton because of what they characterized as interference in Egyptian internal affairs and U.S. support for Islamists while ignoring the majority of Egyptians.

President Barack Hussein Obama Congratulates Victorious Muslim Brotherhood Candidate Mohamed Moris For Winning Egypt’s Presidential Election

President Barack Hussein Obama called the victorious Mohamed Moris, the Muslim Brotherhood candidate, to offer his congratulations on becoming Egypt’s new President. Nuff said.

The White House is cautiously praising the outcome of Egypt’s first competitive presidential election, won by Mohamed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamist party.

“The United States congratulates Dr. Mohamed Morsi on his victory in Egypt’s Presidential election, and we congratulate the Egyptian people for this milestone in their transition to democracy,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney in a statement.

“We look forward to working together with President-elect Morsi and the government he forms, on the basis of mutual respect, to advance the many shared interests between Egypt and the United States,” he said.

Obama also called General Ahmed Shafiq, who was defeated by Morsi, and urged him to play a role in Egypt’s transition by supporting the democratic process. The Muslim Brotherhood and the “democrat” process. Priceless.

President Barack Hussein Obama celebrated the Muslin Brotherhood’s Presidential victory in Egypt today with yet another round of golf. This will make Obama’s 101st round of golf since he took office. Millions of Americans are unemployed, the parents of Brian Terry are looking for answer as to their son’s death in connect with ‘Fast & Furious’ and wonder why Obama evoked executive privilege, a majority of American hope that the SCOTUS declares Obamacare Unconstitutional and the Middle East was turned on its ear today with the victory of the Muslim Brotherhood candidate in Egypt. All this, but it did not deter Obama from playing golf.

President Obama waited for the temperature to cool just a bit before heading to the golf course on Sunday.

Obama is golfing at the Fort Belvoir course, according to a White House pool report. The president is golfing with White House chef Sam Kass, staffer Mike Brush and White House trip director Marvin Nicholson, a frequent golf partner of Obama’s.

The temperature at the course is a steamy 89 degrees but a slight breeze makes it feel a little cooler, according to the Weather Channel. Washington is in the midst of a heat wave, with temperatures hitting 100 degrees on Thursday.

This will be the president’s 101st round of golf since entering office according to a count kept by CBS News’s Mark Knoller. He was last on the course on Father’s Day.
