DOJ Settles Lawsuits over Tea Party Targeting by Obama IRS … Admission that Conservatives Were Unfairly Ttargeted by the IRS under the Obama Administration

OH YEAH … BECAUSE OBAMA NEVER WEAPONIZED THE IRS AGAINST CONSERVATIVES …

After years of litigation,  The Trump administration has settled lawsuits with some Tea Party and other conservative groups who say they were unfairly targeted by the IRS under the Obama administration. For those that denied that the Obama White House had weaponized the IRS against those that he considered enemies has now been shown to be the truth. What didn’t Obama weaponize and use for his political purposes while president?

This is only some justice. Sadly, the Obama administration with a complicit media was allowed to trample on individuals First Amendment rights, which in turn allowed Obama to be reelected. Personally, an apology is not accepted. There needs to be a lot more than this so that no rogue, ideologue president ever uses the power of the federal government against We the People.  The damage that was done by Obama was sick and heinous. Certain individuals should have gone to jail. Wake the hell up America … and for the LEFT, maybe the next time it will be against you. Maybe that’s when you will finally find fault in such actions.

The Trump administration, after years of litigation, has settled lawsuits with Tea Party and other conservative groups who say they were unfairly targeted by the IRS under the Obama administration.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced early Thursday that the Justice Department had entered into settlements with Tea Party groups whose tax-exempt status was significantly delayed by the IRS dating back to 2013, “based solely on their viewpoint or ideology.”

The settlements involve payments to the plaintiffs and an apology from the IRS.

The targeting scandal drew heavy attention in 2013 when the IRS admitted it applied extra scrutiny to conservative groups applying for nonprofit status. Lois Lerner, then head of the Exempt Organizations unit responsible, became the public face of the scandal, though other IRS officials were involved as well.

Sessions said that groups with names involving “Tea Party” or “Patriots,” or those with specific policy positions concerning government spending, were subject to “inappropriate criteria” to “screen” applications.

“The IRS’s use of these criteria as a basis for heightened scrutiny was wrong and should never have occurred,” Sessions said in a statement Thursday. “It is improper for the IRS to single out groups for different treatment based on their names or ideological positions.”

While the IRS did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment, court documents show that the agency did offer an apology.

“The IRS admits that its treatment of Plaintiffs during the tax-exempt determination process, including screening their applications based on their names or policy positions, subjecting those applications to heightened scrutiny and inordinate delays, and demanding some Plaintiffs’ information that TIGTA determined was unnecessary to the agency’s determination of their tax-exempt status, was wrong,” the IRS said in court documents. “For such treatment, the IRS expresses its sincere apology.”

The Justice Department’s settlement would pay the claims of each of the over 400 groups in the case. The attorneys for the groups said it was “a great day for the First Amendment,” but noted that day “was too long in coming.”

Sen. Feinstein (CA-D) Says There Was No Law that Could’ve Stopped the Las Vegas Shooter (VIDEO)

This weekend on CBS’s ‘Face the Nation,’ Senator Diane Feinstein (CA-D) stated there was no law that could’ve stopped the Las Vegas shooter. Feinstein went on to say that the Las Vegas shooter passed every back ground check and registered for hand guns on multiple occasions. She is looking to pass a law that will ban bump-fire stocks.

The truth of the matter is, and the LEFT does not want to hear it, there is evil in the world and government cannot prevent it from happening. With all of the gun laws we have, they could not prevent the heinous mass shooting in Las Vegas because bad people do not follow the laws and in some cases they do and still slip through the cracks. Feinstein says she is running for reelection; however, there are many on the LEFT that do not want her to run. She is 84. Believe it or not, she is not liberal enough for them.

“Could there have been any law passed that would’ve stopped him?” Host John Dickerson asked the senator.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said in an interview broadcast Sunday that no law could have stopped the suspected shooter, Stephen Paddock, who was behind last week’s mass shooting in Las Vegas.

Feinstein spoke on CBS News’s “Face the Nation” about gun legislation in the wake of the attack launched from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel targeting a country music concert.

“Could there have been any law passed that would’ve stopped him?” Host John Dickerson asked the senator.

FYI Sen. Feinstein, there will never be a law in the United States that limits the number of firearms a lawful citizen can own. The day that happens, the United States of America will cease to exist.

2nd Amendment, Gun Control | 2 comments

Democrats are Never Honest Brokers … Nancy Pelosi: “They’re going to say, ‘You give them bump stock, it’s going to be a slippery slope.’ I certainly hope so.” (VIDEO)

DEMOCRATS ARE NEVER HONEST BROKERS … ALL THEY WANT IS GUN CONTROL.

In the aftermath of the terrible Las Vegas massacre that saw the most shooting deaths in American history, the Left has done nothing but play politics. Sadly, as families were still trying to identify shooting victims and not one funeral had taken place, Democrats exploited the tragedy and played politics with gun control. Many, including Republicans and the NRA believe that bump stocks, the device that is used to change a semi-automatic gun into an automatic fire one, believe that regulation is needed. However, many on the Right are concerned that any regulation on the Second Amendment is a slippery slope. And why shouldn’t they be, as Democrat House Minority Leader came out and said, “They’re going to say, ‘You give them bump stock, it’s going to be a slippery slope.’ I certainly hope so.” UNREAL. Is it so difficult for Democrats to be honest brokers? It looks that way. What a sad state of affairs when we just can’t come together and do the right thing. But with people like Pelosi and her ilk, they are only after the end of the Second Amendment.

Even House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi admits any bans on bump stocks could bring on more Second Amendment controls.

Beware, conservatives, of banning anything to do with the Second Amendment.

Pelosi’s quite right. One chip in the constitutional block needs to another chip, and then to another chip and another. It’s the slippery slope of gun control.

And when you’ve got the highest ranking Dem in the House saying so — well, conservatives, it behooves to listen.

Pelosi’s words, during a recent exchange with a reporter at a press conference on Capitol Hill about a proposed ban on bump stock gun add-ons: “They’re going to say, ‘You give them bump stock, it’s going to be a slippery slope.’ I certainly hope so.”

President Trump Rescinds DACA that was Effectuated under the Obama Administration Unconstitutionally … President Gives Congress 6 Months to Do Thier Job

DACA RESCINDED … TRUMP GIVES CONGRESS 6 MONTHS TO ACT AND DO THEIR JOB.

Yesterday, Attorney General Jeff Sessions did his job and correctly rescinded the DACA program. No matter how you feel about the DACA program and so called “Dreamers,” DACA was was Unconstitutional. The United States is a country of laws and if we have presidents who flaunt the Constitution, as Barack Obama did, what is the point. If Trump did not end DACA, it would have been in the courts, as the executive branch does not have the right to bypass the legislative branch and make laws. Obama knew this, and even said so when president, then turned around and created DACA. Democrats and the LEFT can try and play politics with this, as they usually do, but in reality, Trump did the smart thing. Trump eliminated an Unconstitutional program and forwarded it to the U.S. Congress where such laws are supposed to be created. In is now on Congress to do their job.

This policy was implemented unilaterally to great controversy and legal concern after Congress rejected legislative proposals to extend similar benefits on numerous occasions to this same group of illegal aliens.

In other words, the executive branch, through DACA, deliberately sought to achieve what the legislative branch specifically refused to authorize on multiple occasions. Such an open-ended circumvention of immigration laws was an unconstitutional exercise of authority by the Executive Branch.

As the Attorney General, it is my duty to ensure that the laws of the United States are enforced and that the Constitutional order is upheld.

Via FOX News:

In June of 2012, President Obama bypassed Congress to give work permits, social security numbers, and federal benefits to approximately 800,000 illegal immigrants currently between the ages of 15 and 36.  The typical recipients of this executive amnesty, known as DACA, are in their twenties.  Legislation offering these same benefits had been introduced in Congress on numerous occasions and rejected each time.

In referencing the idea of creating new immigration rules unilaterally, President Obama admitted that “I can’t just do these things by myself” – and yet that is exactly what he did, making an end-run around Congress and violating the core tenets that sustain our Republic.

Officials from 10 States are suing over the program, requiring my Administration to make a decision regarding its legality. The Attorney General of the United States, the Attorneys General of many states, and virtually all other top legal experts have advised that the program is unlawful and unconstitutional and cannot be successfully defended in court.

There can be no path to principled immigration reform if the executive branch is able to rewrite or nullify federal laws at will.

The temporary implementation of DACA by the Obama Administration, after Congress repeatedly rejected this amnesty-first approach, also helped spur a humanitarian crisis – the massive surge of unaccompanied minors from Central America including, in some cases, young people who would become members of violent gangs throughout our country, such as MS-13.

Only by the reliable enforcement of immigration law can we produce safe communities, a robust middle class, and economic fairness for all Americans.

Therefore, in the best interests of our country, and in keeping with the obligations of my office, the Department of Homeland Security will begin an orderly transition and wind-down of DACA, one that provides minimum disruption.  While new applications for work permits will not be accepted, all existing work permits will be honored until their date of expiration up to two full years from today.  Furthermore, applications already in the pipeline will be processed, as will renewal applications for those facing near-term expiration.  This is a gradual process, not a sudden phase out.  Permits will not begin to expire for another six months, and will remain active for up to 24 months.  Thus, in effect, I am not going to just cut DACA off, but rather provide a window of opportunity for Congress to finally act.

Democrat Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe Says After GOP Attempted Mass Assaination … 93 Million Americans Are Killed By Guns Everyday (VIDEO)

ANOTHER IGNORANT LIBERAL QUICK TO EXPLOIT A TRAGEDY TO GRAB PEOPLE’S GUNS

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe said following the shooting in Alexandria, VA yesterday that 93 million Americans were killed every day by guns. Huh?  McAuliffe, the so-called Democrat darling to run for president in 2020 repeated it, 93 million. Imagine that, there are on 321.5 million people live in the United States. In other words, according to this brain surgeon who was so quick to bring up gun control following the shooting, without knowing any of the facts, it would take 3.5 days to kill everyone in the U.S. by gun violence. Care to amend your data Gov.McAuliffe? He would later correct himself when questioned by a reporter and say 93 individuals. Missed it by that much, McAuliffe says this is not what this day is about, yet he made it exactly about gun control. Interestingly enough, it was the two Capital police individuals that there there as a protective detail that saved all of these Congressmen and prevented this massacre.

“Let me say this, I think we need to do more to protect all of our citizens,” McAuliffe said. “I have long advocated—this is not what today is about, but there are too many guns on the street. We lose 93 million Americans a day to gun violence.”

“Sir, just checking. Ninety-three million is a big number. Did you mean to say 93 million?” one reporter then asked.

“Ninety-three individuals a day,” McAuliffe corrected himself.
