50 Cents First Pitch at New York Mets MLB Game at Citi Field Not Worth a Penny

WOW, looks like rapper 50 Cent chose the right profession ... As Bob Eucker would say, “Just a bit outside”.

Check out the video below and watch what may be just the worst first pitch at a Major League Baseball game in history. DAMN!!! Talk about losing major street cred. Although I think he did it to make Barack Obama’s past lame first pitches look good. The NY Post quips, the Queens-born rapper, who threw out the first pitch before the Mets took on the Pirates at Citi Field on Tuesday night, would fit right into the Mets’ struggling bullpen. OUCH! In fact many Met fans probably thought it was one of their teams own pitchers warming up.

“It’s good he never had a choice between playing for the Mets or being a rapper.”

Just curious, do these celebs ever practice before they throw out a first pitch and make a fool of themselves?

The Old Hidden Ball Trick … Young Texas Rangers Fan Has Major League Game

HE GOT GAME …

Check out what this young Texas Ranger fan does when he gets a foul ball.  Although it appears that he is doing the old hidden ball trick and is giving the girl behind him a different ball, truth be known it was the second foul ball that he received during the game. However, the funny part is that when getting this second foul ball, does hr give it to his bud next ti him? No way … he spots the cute blond girl in the second row and gives it to her. The girls reaction is priceless.

This kid is never going to have a problem in the future getting a date for prom.

A-ROD Suspended for 2014 Season: Arbitrator Fredric Horowitz Reduces Ban From 211 to 162 Games … Alex Rodriguez Plans to Sue in Federal Court

A-ROD STRIKES OUT … SUSPENDED FOR 2014 BASEBALL SEASON.

Arbitrator Fredric Horowitz has handed down his decision and it bans the New York Yankee’s Alex Rodriguez for the entire 2014 MLB season. Horowitz’ ruling actually reduced A-Rod’s suspension from 211 games to 162; however, it is still the longest penalty ever for a drug violation. The 162 game ban plus any post-season games in 2014 of the 14-time All-Star and three-time Most Valuable Player is a 100% endorsement of Major League Baseball’s accusations that Rodriguez scored an array of PEDs from Biogenesis.

Alex Rodriguez get hit by pitch by Ryan Dempster of Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park as the crowd boos A-ROD and then cheers after he is hit … A-ROD’s  a CHEATER!!!

Alex Rodriguez has been suspended for the entire 2014 season by arbitrator Fredric Horowitz, who handed down a 162-game ban to the New York Yankees third baseman for his involvement in Major League Baseball’s Biogenesis scandal.

The suspension also includes all potential playoff games in 2014.

Horowitz’s ruling upholds a good portion of the original 211-game suspension levied by MLB, which banned Rodriguez in August after concluding its investigation. Rodriguez continued playing after appealing the decision.

A-Rod vowing to take the fight to federal court.

Statement from Alex Rodriguez:

“The number of games sadly comes as no surprise, as the deck has been stacked against me from day one. This is one man’s decision, that was not put before a fair and impartial jury, does not involve me having failed a single drug test, is at odds with the facts and is inconsistent with the terms of the Joint Drug Agreement and the Basic Agreement, and relies on testimony and documents that would never have been allowed in any court in the United States because they are false and wholly unreliable.

“This injustice is MLB’s first step toward abolishing guaranteed contracts in the 2016 bargaining round, instituting lifetime bans for single violations of drug policy, and further insulating its corrupt investigative program from any variety of defense by accused players, or any variety of objective review. I have been clear that I did not use performance enhancing substances as alleged in the notice of discipline, or violate the Basic Agreement or the Joint Drug Agreement in any manner, and in order to prove it, I will take this fight to federal court. I am confident that when a Federal Judge reviews the entirety of the record, the hearsay testimony of a criminal whose own records demonstrate that he dealt drugs to minors, and the lack of credible evidence put forth by MLB, that the judge will find that the panel blatantly disregarded the law and facts, and will overturn the suspension. (more)

UPDATE I: MLB statement on A-Rod arbitration ruling.

“For more than five decades, the arbitration process under the Basic Agreement has been a fair and effective mechanism for resolving disputes and protecting player rights. While we believe the original 211-game suspension was appropriate, we respect the decision rendered by the panel and will focus on our continuing efforts on eliminating performance-enhancing substances from our game.”

BOSTON RED SOX WIN WORLD SERIES … Wins Game Six over St. Louis Cardinals 6-1 and Clinch WS at Fenway for first time in 95 Years … David Ortiz Wins MVP

RED SOX WIN WORLD SERIES … THEY ARE GOING TO PARTY IN BOSTON LIKE ITS 1918!!!

The Boston Red Sox defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 6 to 1 in game six of the World Series. It is the first time in 95 years that the Red Sox have won a World Series clinching game in the friendly confines of Fenway Park since 1918 … 95 years!!!

Boston Red Sox proved too “BOSTON STRONG” For Cardinals.

Red Sox

The Cardinals were chicken tonight in walking Boston’s amazing DH and future Hall of Famer David “Big Papi” Ortiz four times, 3 intentionally. However, that did not stop some unlikely heroes to step up to the plate and deliver. Right fielder Shane Victorino did not have a hit coming into tonight’s game and then went 2 for 3 with 4 rbi’s, including a 3 run double in the 3rd inning that put the Sox ahead 3-0. Then SS Stephen Drew who had only one hit, delivered a solo home run putting the Sox up 4-0. However, the two stand outs of the 2013 World Series were DH/1st David Ortiz who batted an amazing .688 and starting pitcher John Lester who won two games and gave up only 2 runs.

UPDATE I: Red Sox win World Series with Game 6 victory over Cardinals.

The Red Sox, defeated the Cardinals 6-1 on Wednesday to win their eighth World Series title and cap a wicked good worst-to-first season that delighted a city dealing with the aftermath of the deadly bombings at its signature marathon in April.

Shane Victorino drove in four runs with a bases-loaded double in the third and an RBI single in the fourth as Boston took the Series four games to two.

Leading hitter for the Red Sox, David Ortiz, walked four times — three times intentionally — and scored two runs.

A resurgent John Lackey pitched six strong innings before fading in the seventh and leaving with the bases loaded with a 6-1 lead. But reliever Junichi Tazawa got out Allen Craig to blunt the Cardinals’ comeback attempt.

UPDATE II: DAVID “BIG PAPI” ORTIZ WINS MVP!!!

Big Papi, the man who epitomized the grit, determination and will to stay “Boston” strong for the good folks of Boston and helped them overcome the heinous terror attack at the Boston Marathon earlier this year, has been a  cult hero in Boston and New England for years. The talented, joking, always smiling and now we learn, rather good 1st baseman has been a team leader for years and is the only remaining player since the Red Sox 2004 World Series victory.  However, Ortiz went even beyond even that when he proudly and defiantly stood up to terrorism …  “This is Our F*cking City and No One is Going to Dictate Our Freedom… Stay Strong!”
