Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake Announced Sunday That She Is Lifting the Six Day Curfew

LET THE LOOTING AND BURNING BEGIN AGAIN …

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake announced today, Sunday, May 2, 2015 that she was lifting the 6 day curfew imposed after riots ensued using the excuse of the death of a black man, Freddie Gray, who sustained a spinal injury while in police custody. Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake has mishandled and botched the handling of this situation from the outset. Her naive and foolish agenda to have police stand down and not protect her city resulted in the lawlessness, rioting and mob violence that saw businesses looted, burned to the ground and police officers injured.

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake announced Sunday that she was lifting the six-day curfew imposed after riots ensued over the death of a black man who sustained a spinal injury while in police custody.

“My goal has always been to not have the curfew in place a single day longer than was necessary,” she tweeted. “I believe we have reached that point today.”

The announcement came a day after thousands gathered Saturday outside City Hall, where heavily armed police and National Guard were stationed, in a tense but celebratory demonstration. The 10 p.m. curfew remained in effect that night.

Tensions eased after the Friday announcement of charges against six police officers in Freddie Gray’s death.

So this clueless and over her head Mayor thinks that mere charges against the police officers are going to quell the lawlessness, really? As it was, she waited too long to put a curfew in place as she allowed the thugs and punks to overrun the city as Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake gave the police a stand down order. Over 200 businesses were lost and burned thanks to an idiot Mayor giving the rioters their space to destroy and let them loot because it was only property.

If this mayor actually thinks that Baltimore has been reunited, she is a fool. From all accounts and comments that we have heard from the protesters, the issues of Baltimore were present prior to the death of Freddie Gray and they are still present. The Mayor is just lipsticking a pig and trying to put a happy face on a bad situation that has existed for decades. There is no way the mob will be happy with charges against the police officers, they want scalps. Just curious, what happens when the police are found not guilty?

With all due respect the the politicians, both Democrat and Republican, you are going to need a lot more than prayer, peace and reflections to fix Baltimore. Your average person would not go near Baltimore because in order for you to claim it is safe, the National Guard is still present and hundreds of extra police have been called in. Also, there is still massive unemployment and a culture of dependency on government. Until that is addressed, nothing is really being done to remedy the situation.

NFL’s Benjamin Watson Facebook Post on Baltimore Riots: ‘I See a Brokenness That Only Christ Can Give Us Wisdom and Power to Mend’

Some amazing and reflective words from the NFL’s  New Orleans Saints Tight End Benjamin Watson …

On reflecting on the riots in Baltimore, Christian professional football player Benjamin Watson wrote, “I see a brokenness that only Christ can give us the wisdom and power to mend.”

Commenting on the devastating violence that took place on Monday in Baltimore, outspoken Christian professional football player Benjamin Watson explained that the pain, anger and tension that the city and its residents are experiencing can only be healed through the power of Christ.

Watson noted that Baltimore is not the first city to go through a violent uprising over police negligence, and likely won’t be the last. He further asserted that the problems Baltimore faces right now are shared by the nation as a whole.

NFL’s Benjamin Watson Talks About Baltimore Riots On Greta Van Sustern

FACEBOOK:

We have major problems as a nation. Yesterday Ferguson burned. Tonight ?#?Baltimore? burns. Tomorrow it will be another city in our homeland. Watching the coverage I’m hearing yet another version of a nauseatingly familiar narrative. Violence by police reciprocated by violence by the community, reciprocated by violence by police reciprocated by…. It seems fruitless to continue to analyze, condemn, and respond to these dreadful episodes. “Frustration, anger, tension boiling over, upset and unfortunate” are words we hear from Baltimore residents. When it comes to law enforcement, race, poverty, education, immigration we always talk about fixing “broken” systems. We resolve to legislate for education, job creation, and systemic overhaul. These are helpful and definitely needed BUT we have done all of these things ad nauseum and look at us!! Without a change of heart these attempts fail us. So what can we say? What can we do? Systems are broken because people are broken and if systems are fixed without hearts being changed the result will be a legalistic attempt that will lack long term results. Our problems are wholistic and common to the human heart. Hatred, prejudice, exploitation, pride, self righteousness, secrecy, and rebellion, manifest itself in the explosions we’ve seen over the last year, the last century, and the last millennia.

Tonight I see so much entrenched pain without remedy. Most are handling it without violence while a few are committing the unacceptable.
Tonight I see young children, asking like my daughter did earlier, “What’s happening daddy”, in desperate need of parents to walk them through these disturbing scenes.
Tonight I see “smoke,” but we must address the fire. The response that we are watching is just “smoke” from years of hopelessness. After each situation the more I am convinced that the love of God for our fellow brothers and sisters who were created in His image, is our only hope for reconciliation. But the only way we can even see him that way is if God illuminates our view and changes our thought process. I’m not talking about holding hands and singing. Love is an action that compels one to treat another with dignity and respect even if they don’t deserve it. It pushes for education and opportunities for those in poverty. It gives identity and self worth. It administers justice without abuse. It honors authority and promotes peace. It is not weak, but strong for what is right!
Tonight I see a brokenness that only Christ can give us the wisdom and power to mend.

We pray for every disaster that happens to us. Bombings, natural disasters, cancer and outbreaks. What we’ve seen in our country lately deserves that same attention. Our attempts to fix this have fallen short.
We, and most importantly, the body of Christ, must stand for justice in all areas, for all people. We must set the standard for the correct way to treat people.

Tonight I pray for the pastors, leaders, police and community of Baltimore.
Tonight I ?#?PrayForAmerica?.

Fox News Reporter Leland Vittert Confronts Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake as Al Sharpton Prevents Freedom of Speech

I KNOW HE WORKS FOR MSNBC, BUT ISN’T AL SHARPTON A MEMBER OF THE MEDIA … WHAT’S UP WITH THIS PREVENTING THE MEDIA FROM TALKING TO A PUBLIC OFFICIAL?

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake owes everyone an explanation as to her disastrous handling of the Baltimore riots. However, AL Sharpton does not seem to think so. Instead, he is protecting her backside. Talk about hypocrisy and double standard. Watch the video below and see Al Sharpton, a member of the MSM who receives a paycheck from MSNBC, actually prevents a member of the media from asking questions of Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake. the so-called Reverand Al Sharpton is running cover and playing body guard to embattled Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake. HUH? Fox News reporter Leland Vittert is shoved out of the way as he tried to do what the media’s job is to do and that bis ask public officials questions and hold them accountable to the people. The Fox News reporter tried to get clarification from the Baltimore Mayor as to whether she gave the police the order to stand down and “Let Them Loot, It’s Only Property”.

Make up your mind Al, either you are a civil rights activist or a member of the media, you can’t be both. As for MSNBC, there should be no question, he should be let go immediately as t is obvious that Sharpton has no objectivity and does not even pretend to.

Who thinks Al Sharpton would be treating a white Mayor this way of a city where a black man was killed in police custody?

The Blaze:

Fox News reporter Leland Vittert was shoved out of the way when he confronted Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake as she was walking with Al Sharpton on Thursday.

The reporter received no answers to his questions about the report or riots.

“We can’t we ask questions?” Vittert asked. “We can’t ask questions of a public official?”

As Rawlings-Blake walked silently, Sharpton is seen on video telling Vittert that he will “have the opportunity” to ask questions at an upcoming press conference.

Vittert is later literally shoved out of the way and the tense confrontation ended shortly after.
