Tax and Spend Aruba; Government Snatches Every Penny
From AM Digital (7/21/06)Â comes the following article. Seems that tax and spend Aruban government is wearing out its welcome with the people.

It would appear that the Arubans are getting restless. New government may change taxes, but things will only get better if a new government decides to actively pursue justice in the Natalee Holloway case.

Aruba Marketing Retreat Resolution; Aruba … You Better Do More than This
The other day we posted on the retreat that Aruban tourism officials participated in New York City in hopes of coming up with answers to stem the tide of their declining tourism. Their answer … the following resolution and thinking that throwing more money at the problem is the answer. Here is a hint … it won’t.
We will say this one more time so that either you see the truth or the citizens of Aruba understand the real reason why their economy is in free-fall.
BAD PUBLICITY IN THE NATALEE HOLLOWAY CASE DID NOT CAUSE YOUR TOURISM TO FALL. YOUR BAD IMAGE WAS CREATED ALL BY YOURSELF BECAUSE ARUBAN OFFICIALS AND CERTAIN POLICE DECIDED TO TURN THEIR HEAD FOR JUSTICE OF AN AMERICAN TOURIST.
STOP BLAMING OTHER AND TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILITY.
Until Aruba takes responsibility for what they did and continue to do, NO ONE IS GOING TO GO TO YOUR ISLAND!!! 14 months later and Aruba is still making excuses. What reason would anyone want to spend their hard earned money for a vacation on an island where Aruba has still learned nothing and blames everyone else for their problems but themselves.

As we have previously stated and Larry Garrison, co-author of Aruba: The Tragic Untold Story of Natalee Holloway and Corruption in Paradise and author of the new book The NewsBreakers, stated as well last night during an interview with Dana Pretzer and C-Band Talk Radio, if Aruba can come to NYC in search of ways to gain wealth … if Joran Van der Sloot can come to NYC to do the same. Then why cant the judge in the civil court case filed by Natalee’s parents deem NYC a proper jurisdiction?
Isn’t that rather convenient. Aruba can come to NYC on a retreat to discuss the marketing and basically out-source their tourism with NYC consultants, but there is no NEXUS in the civil case according to the lawyers for the Van der Sloots. Its also OK for the Van der Sloots to come to NYC for their own self-serving purposes. (Scared Monkeys)
Aruba and the Van der Sloot’s had no problem coming to the USA and NYC to get rich. Why can’t they be judged as well in that same place? Hopefully the judge will take this into consideration.

Aruba Tourism and the Ceramic (China) Egg
Another fitting comparison to Aruban Tourism.
(Vanderbilt – ‘06)
Recall how an egg made of ceramic was placed under hens to keep ‘em from leaving the nest. The egg would never hatch; however, much like the ATA clucking away on the news about a tourism egg that is certainly not golden for them.
Joran I wouldn’t Get too Comfortable, You are Still a Suspect … and there seems to be a monkey on your back.
It would appear that Joran Van der Sloot, Koen and company were back to “Livin’ La Vita Loca” at the Club Bahia on July 15, 2006. Just a reminder Joran, you are still a suspect in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway if you have forgot. I do not think I would be all that comfortable just yet … as you are still a suspect. Seems you still have a monkey on your back.
(Hat tip: Klaas pics)
By the way Joran, just how was it that you were able to go to a bar one half hour before closing, have a conversation with a girl that you had never met before, buy her a 151 shot, do jelly shots then leave with her in a car that Deepak was already waiting in with the engine running. Sounds a little premeditated doesn’t it?
Looks like a regular Pimp reunion at the Club Bahia. Koen, we thought you were back in Holland. Why didn’t you ever talk to the ALE? Seems that you have come a long way from how Art Wood described you acted when you thought you were going to be interviewed. Must be nice to have daddy save you.
Also had solid evidence, that Koen was ready to crack. He was afraid of being arrested, slept with mother as afraid. Koen’s father who got a lawyer and Koen was not interviewed. (Art Wood, C-Band talk Radio)
Glad to see you are all getting on with your lives, I do not believe that Natalee Holloway is so fortunate now is she?
At some point something or someone will come forward. Last night Tim Miller stated on C-Band Talk radio with Dana Prezter that he was confident that Natalee’s body could be found and that if anywhere she was out in the ocean 3–5 miles. Clint van Zandt also interview on C-Band Talk radio stated as well he believed the case was solvable.
Things always come to the surface at the most unusual moments in time. The truth does come out in the end. There is only so long that Aruba is going to be able to deal with a 18% drop in tourism and remain silent. If things can be covered up so easily, I would think that the converse is true as well.
It is rather ironic to see a suspect in the disappearance of Natalee, that is responsible for the economic nightmare that Aruba is presently in gallivanting around have a grand old time while so many Arubans are affected adversely by the lack of tourism caused by said suspects.
Ironic in deed.
