What’s Wrong with Government in the 21st Century … Politics … Senators to Skip Bail Out Vote?

People continually ask, what is wrong with government in the US? Why do politicians not do the work of the people? That question is not posed to just one party, its a pox on all of the Democrats, Republicans and Independents. The problem with government, is politics.

As the Congress faces one of its biggest and most important votes ever and the largest governmental  intervention in the financial markets since the Great Depression, it appears that all 3 Senators on the Presidential tickets will miss the vote. How sad that we live in a time where Obama, Biden and McCain feel they cannot cast a vote because of the fear of what it will do to the politics of running for President. What ever happened to a time when a candidate voted their conscience, supported their decision and put forth their vision to “We the People”. The sad reality is that any vote, any comment will become exploited by the MSM and the opposing campaigns.

If we ever needed a President who could reach across the aisle and end some of this complete nonsense in DC, now is the time. It is up to “We the People” to make that choice as to who has done it in the past and who can do it now. End politics in Washington and make the government work for the people again.

Biden’s Comment on Obama’s Email Ad Against McCain, “I thought it was Terrible” … Joe Biden … I was against the Obama email ad, before I was for it.

Joe Biden … I was against the Obama email ad, before I was forced to say I was for it.

The Obama camp knew when they picked Joe Biden to be their VP candidate that he was a loose cannon and prone to off the wall ad lib comments. Biden is a sound bite waiting to happen. First Joe told Barack Obama, “hands off my guns.” Now it appears that Biden during an interview with Katie Couric has commented on Obama’s smear ad against McCain and the fact that he does not use email; I thought it was terrible”.

Asked about the negative tone of the campaign, and this ad in particular, during an interview broadcast Monday by the “CBS Evening News,” Obama’s running mate, Sen. Joe Biden, said he disapproved of it.

“I thought that was terrible, by the way,” Biden said.

Asked why it was done, he said: “I didn’t know we did it and if I had anything to do with it, we’d have never done it.”

VIDEO (go to 4:10 where he says he thought the McCain E-mail ad about his good friend John McCain was “terrible)

What is comical is the fact that SNL performed a skit this past weekend that portrayed John McCain approving political ads whether they were factually correct or not. That skit was supposed to be satire, see VIDEO here. Granted, the skit is funny but check out Obama’s actual campaign and what Biden said during his interview. The reality in the Obama campaign is Biden does not know who was approving their ads. When Couric asks whether Barack Obama did, Biden does not answer. SNL may offer you satire … Obama ads offer a glimpse of reality as to who approves ads. (4:35 point of the interview). It would appear that SNL got the candidates mixed up in their skit, shocker.

Was this a gaffe by Biden or just an honest personal answer to a wrong he saw done to a friend? As Red State discusses, exactly how is a candidate not aware of the political ads that are being released? Whatever the case may be, the Obama camp later that day released a statement as they could not trust  Biden to comment and back tracked on Biden’s words toward The Chosen One.

Late Monday, Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton issued a statement from Biden. In it, Biden said he “was asked about an ad I’d never seen” and was “reacting merely to press reports.”

Biden said that, as he said in the interview, there was nothing “intentionally personal” in the criticism of McCain’s views.

“Having now reviewed the ad, it is even more clear to me that given the disgraceful tenor of Sen. McCain’s ads and their persistent falsehoods, his campaign is in no position to criticize, especially when they continue to distort Barack’s votes on an issue as personal as keeping kids safe from sexual predators,” Biden said.

Biden Calls Obama Attack Ad “Terrible”

Biden Tells Obama, Hands Off His Guns … Biden Clinging to his Guns but not During the Primaries

Suddenly Joe Biden is a defender of the Second Amendment? The drag of the VP Second-AmendmentDemocratic ticket is telling Obama what to do and hands off his guns. Joe Biden being a proponent of the Second Amendment is almost laughable or as Red State comments, “Joe Biden’s risible claims to be a defender of the Second Amendment.” So Biden is sent to the Virginia coal mine country, the people who cling to their guns and bibles, to tell them that Obama is not the gun owners worst enemy … HAHAHA!!! Biden states, “if he tries to fool with my Beretta …”, what does Biden know about Obama’s gun control that Obama is not telling us?

I guarantee you, Barack Obama ain’t taking my shotguns. So don’t buy that malarkey,” Mr. Biden said. “They’re going to start peddling that to you.”

Mr. Biden told the crowd, referring to his arms and then to Mr. Obama. “If he tries to fool with my Beretta, he’s got a problem. I like that little over and under, you know? I’m not bad with it.”

And then on to one of his standard lines: “So give me a break. Give me a break.”

Even the Political Machine at AOL notices the words “ain’t” and “malarkey” as Democratic code words to talk to the peasants and little people. Why is the Democrat Second Amendment, NRA crowd important … maybe because Republican VP pick Sarah Palin is a pistol packing, Moose hunting, lifetime member of the NRA. The gun issue may become a very important swing topic and decide the outcome in states like Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Joe Biden has received an “F” with the NRA  and it would seem that Joe Biden is out of touch as Obama claims about Biden when it comes to the internet and the comprehension of internet search engines or You Tube. How soon Biden has forgot his recent comments when he was running for the Democratic nomination.

However, during the Democratic Primary Debates Joe Biden’s answer was quite different when it came to the Second Amendment and a right to bear arms. Watch Biden’s response to a gun owner during the debates.

Michelle Malkin reminds us of another Democrat that tried to falsely be pro-gun and failed miserably at it. The pictures of John Kerry with a gun are comical.

America, Are You Sick of Being Called a Racist if you Don’t Vote For Obama? … AP-Yahoo News poll Blames Racism

AMERICA … once again is told that if Obama does not win the election its because you are RACIST.  You have to be a racist if you don’t vote for “The Chosen One”.

DO NOT EVER FORGET THAT RACISM IS A TWO WAY STREET AND THE PLAYING OF THE RACE CARD TOO OFTEN IS THE EQUIVALENT OF THE BOY WHO CRIED WOLF

Never has the race card been played more often and more shamelessly than during the 2008 run for the White House. An AP-Yahoo News poll has put forth the notion that some white Democrats harbor negative views toward blacks. The purpose of the poll was to determine why the MSM’s Chosen One, the Obamamessiah is locked in a close race with McCain even as the political landscape seems to favor Democrats. No, the purpose of the poll was to make excuses and guilt people into voting for Obama. I guess Republicans can take consolation in at least they were not being called racists this time. I would almost ask the question, where is the poll that asks why an overwhelming number of blacks are voting for Obama and not McCain? Must be because of Obama’s political experience.

Deep-seated racial misgivings could cost Barack Obama the White House if the election is close, according to an AP-Yahoo News poll that found one-third of white Democrats harbor negative views toward blacks — many calling them “lazy,” “violent,” responsible for their own troubles.

More than a third of all white Democrats and independents — voters Obama can’t win the White House without — agreed with at least one negative adjective about blacks, according to the survey, and they are significantly less likely to vote for Obama than those who don’t have such views.

News flash to the MSM, their polling cronies and the rest of the “America is racist” contingency … if Barack Obama loses the 2008 Presidential Election it will be because of the following reasons, not because he is black.

The Gateway Pundit brings up a good point that questions whether Barack Obama and his campaign have brought voters opinions and views upon themselves. You reap what you sow. Maybe its because Michelle Obama has never been proud of America before her husband ran for the Presidency. Maybe it’s because Obama belonged to a race-baiting church headed by Reverend Jeremiah Wright for 20 years and never realized it, but they were just words. Maybe its because small town America “white folk” don’t need to here that they cling to their bibles and guns.

Barack Obama Tried to Delay & Stall Troop Withdrawals from Iraq? Saying One Thing and Doing Another … NEVER, OBAMA!!!

Thinks being Commander & Chief is more than just reading a teleprompter? Maybe, just maybe it has to do with properly handling foreign policy.

So much for politics stopping at the waters edge or interfering in US diplomacy for that fact. Since when is a campaigning Senator for President, Mr. Obama, allowed to interfere and meddle in on going foreign policy? Was Obama trying to play political games with troop withdrawals from Iraq?

Did Barack Obama as a candidate running for President try and stall troop withdrawals from Iraq while publically campaigning for a speedy withdrawal? According to accounts in the NY Post, Senator Barack Obama tried in private to persuade Iraqi leaders to delay an agreement on a draw-down of the American military presence. Did Obama actually try and delay an Iraqi agreement until after the November election when he made his now well publicized trip to Iraq?

According to Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, Obama made his demand for delay a key theme of his discussions with Iraqi leaders in Baghdad in July.

“He asked why we were not prepared to delay an agreement until after the US elections and the formation of a new administration in Washington,” Zebari said in an interview.

Obama insisted that Congress should be involved in negotiations on the status of US troops – and that it was in the interests of both sides not to have an agreement negotiated by the Bush administration in its “state of weakness and political confusion.”

“However, as an Iraqi, I prefer to have a security agreement that regulates the activities of foreign troops, rather than keeping the matter open.” Zebari says.

According to the Obama camp, they are denying that he tried to delay a withdrawal agreement. However, others are stating that the story is confirmed, Obama Did Try to Postpone US-Iraq Agreement on Troop Draw-Down.
