Ancient White House Reporter Helen Thomas Retires after “Jews Go Home” Comment … Victim of Her Own PC

I guess we can add another individual to the list of the unemployed under President Barack Hussein Obama …

Helen Thomas, who has been covering Presidents since the the JFK Administration retired today, effective immediately, following her her controversial statements about Israel stating that Jews needed to “get out of Palestine” and go back to Poland and Germany. JFK Administration, I would have thought the Washington administration.  Thomas would later apologize; however, the damage was done.

Today, Helen Thomas’ seat was vacant and will be from this point going forward.

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs called the Helen Thomas comments  “offensive and reprehensible.” Now all this administration needs to do is actually trat Israel like an ally.

Asked today about her marks, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs called them “offensive and reprehensible” and added that they “do not reflect certainly the opinion of most of the people here and certainly not of the administration.”

What is most ironic regarding Thomas’ forced retitement is that she is a victim of her owm media elite political correctness. Helen Thomas should be allowed to have an opinion; however, this one was a doozy and really was almost indefensable. However, for all the Leftist media elitist that are in the WH Press corps, I wonder gow many of them had the same opinion? Now, they will never voice their true feelings seeing what happened to the Helen Thomas.

Personally, I have never been a fan of Helen Thomas and the more bitter she became in later years I never could quite under stand why any one (Republican Administrations) must up with her nonsense. Some say she was a barrier breaker, some say she got what she deserved and it was a fitting end and some say, don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

First Helen Thomas, the senior most White House correspondent ripped WH Press Secretary Robert Gibbs for America’s initial reaction to the violence created by the Guerrilla Flotilla. The 89 year old Thomas  said Israel committed a massacre and Israel is a terrorist state.

Then Helen Thomas stated the following, this VIDEO must be seen and heard to be believed. It is obvious that Helen Thomas is no fan of the Jews.

BTW, no one told me they made a remake of the Wizard oz Oz.

Helen Thomas: Tell em to get the hell out of Palestine.

Here is the apology from Helen Thomas’ personal web site:

“I deeply regret my comments I made last week regarding the Israelis and the Palestinians. They do not reflect my heartfelt belief that peace will come to the Middle East only when all parties recognize the need for mutual respect and tolerance. May that day come soon.”

Sorry Helen, a little to late and way to lame of an apology. You voiced your true feelings and showed your true colors. You should be ashamed. Mutual tolerance and respect? Like the lack of it that you just showed in your comments toward Jews in that they should get out of Palestine and go back to Poland. You mean like that?

It is obvious that Helen Thomas has outlived her usefulness as a WH correspondent and that she should be put out to pasture. Former GWB Press Secretary Ari Fleisher stated that Thomas should be fired for her comments.

“She should lose her job over this,” Fleischer said in an email. “As someone who is Jewish, and as someone who worked with her and used to like her, I find this appalling.”

“She is advocating religious cleansing. How can Hearst stand by her? If a journalist, or a columnist, said the same thing about blacks or Hispanics, they would already have lost their jobs.”

EXIT QUESTION: Will Helen Thomas say that illegal immigrants should go back to their country of origin as well? Would she dare ever make such a comment like this toward Mexicans or Blacks? Of course not, so there is an obvious bias and deep seeded hatred toward Jews. One that has no place in journalism, the White House or any place for that matter.

UPDATE II: It appears that US Rep Michele Backmann (R-MN) thinks that Helen must go as well.

This anti-Semitic sentiment has no place in our public discourse. I call upon her employer, Heart Corporation to dismiss her at once! The White House needs to revoke her press credentials immediately.

Her apology is not sufficient, considering her many previous negative sentiments against Israel. Her language is offensive, vulgar and intolerant.

Powerline is 100% correct in their analysis, Helen Thomas is completely insincere in her apology.

So what message does this send if she is not fired? If you are an ancient media dinosaur you are allowed to be an anti-Semite?

The Politico reports that she is under fire for her remarks that JEWS should get out of Palestine and go back to Poland or Germany, yet they seem to think she will not be fired.

Some of Thomas’ colleagues in the White House press corps are chiming in on Thomas’ comments.

“She doesn’t speak for the WHCA,” said White House Correspondents’ Association  President Ed Chen. “Her views are hers alone. And now she’s apologized. Policing the views of opinion columnists can start us all all down a path that history suggests is best avoided.”

“Helen Thomas does not speak for me, and she does not represent the White House press corps,” said McClatchy’s Steve Thomma. “It was an offensive comment. She was right to apologize for it.”

“Helen has been a columnist for about a decade now and her strong beliefs on the Middle East are well known,” said ABC News’ Ann Compton. “I think I saw that she regretted these remarks and realized they were hurtful and inappropriate. Ari Fleischer is a private citizen and certainly free to express his opinion that this was a firing offense even for an opinion columnist. I would agree with you that Helen enjoys a rather special status as the White House. But I think her employer will have to decide whether the comments went over the line.”

So because she is a fossil and she gave a weak apology that makes her comments and personal beliefs ok. Can any one imagine if a FOX News c orrespondent had make such a reference about blacks or Hispanics how fast they would be terminated. No apology would have been acceptable and they would have been forced out ala Don Imus.

But in Liberal Media Land it is a different set of rules or double standard if you will.  Let’s be honest here, Helen Thomas is not profoundly apologetic, she merely stated what she believes in her heart to be true. The fact that its anti-Semitic is irrelevant to the MSM.

Hearst, however, does not yet seem ready to part ways with Thomas. A spokesperson told POLITICO, “”We deeply regret Helen Thomas’ remarks, which in no way reflect the views of Hearst Newspapers or its employees. Helen has expressed her own profound regret over the incident.”

Yikes, Gallup Poll … Obama Sinks to New Low of 46% Approval Rating

President Barack Obama’s approval ratings have hit the skids and continue to fall. The latest Gallup Poll has Obama at a new low of 46%.  At one point when Obama was sworn into office, he had an approval rating of 68%. Those days are long gone.

His recent handling of the BP oil spill, the Israeli raid on the flotilla, jobs, unemployment and immigration have all caused Obama’s numbers to fall.

At 46%, President Obama’s job approval average for the week ending May 30 is the lowest weekly average of his administration, one point below the previous low of 47% measured in April.

Barack Obama remains a very polarizing President.

What do Obama’s 46% Opproval rating compare to in a second year President? Obama is getting near Jimmy Carter approval numbers, there is a ringing endorsement. Of course Democrats will point to Ronald Reagan’s low second year approval numbers; however, Reagan’s were trending upward, not the downward spiral that Obama is experiencing.

What is most troubling for Obama and Democrats is that Obama has completely lost the independent vote. Only 41% of independents support Barack Obama.

The Rasmussen Daily Presidential tracking poll has Obama at -14 and his approval, non-approval rating at 46% – 53%.

President Barack Hussein Obama Takes Another Vacation & Skips Laying Wreath at Arlington National Cemetary on Memorial Day

When the going gets tough, the Obama get’s going … going on vacation that is.

There are wars going on in Iraq and Afghanistan, tensions are high with North Korea, nuclear escalation troubles in Iran and an oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico that could be a disaster beyond proportion to the states of Louisiana, Alabama and Florida. So what does Barack Hussein Obama do? Go on vacation of course to Chicago.

To Obama, this is more important that going to Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day

According to a White House official, the Obamas will arrive Thursday and stay until Monday, when Obama will participate in a Memorial Day ceremony at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. The veterans’ cemetery is about 50 miles south of Chicago.

A top adviser to Obama, David Axelrod, recently took in a play at the Goodman Theatre about the civil rights movement, and that has some speculating that the Obamas will show up for “The Good Negro,” which is making its Chicago premiere.

However, what will Obama not be doing?  The President of the United States of America while men and woman of the US Armed Forces are in harms way in Iraq and Afghanistan will not be going to Arlington National Cemetery and lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

This action by Obama is beyond unconscionable. I am glad to see that this President has his priorities in place.

But wait, know what Obama does have time for to attend? Obama will make it back to Washington, DC to honor Paul McCarthy for the sacrifices he has made to America and the preservation of our liberties and freedom.

America, how is that “Hopey, Changey” thing working out for you? We need to know nothing more about Obama’s character than his actions of being the Commander in Chief and not honoring the fallen heroes of the United States on Memorial Day … WHAT A DISGRACE.

I guess Chris Matthews was right about Obama and the military. Is it any wonder why Obama received little applause at this weekends commencement speech at West Point.

Hope & Change: President Barack Hussein Obama Has Lost Half the Jewish Vote

Say it ain’t so Jo”seph” … Barack Hussein Obama has lost half of his Jewish support.

In a poll by the McLaughlin Group, The One garnered only 42% of the American Jewish vote while 46% stated they would vote for some one else. OUCH!

The US Jews polled were asked whether they would: (a) vote to re-elect Obama, or (b) consider voting for someone else. 42% said they would vote for Obama and 46%, a plurality, preferred the second answer. 12% said they did not know or refused to answer.

In the Presidential elections of 2008, 78% of Jewish voters, or close to 8 out of 10, chose Obama. The McLaughlin poll held nearly 18 months later, in April 2010, appears to show that support down to around 4 out of 10.

Are we really surprised at the numbers especially when Obama has decided that his “Hope & Change” policy is to bow down before Arabs and fight with Israel?

Osama bin Laden Tape Emerges Taking Responsibility for Christmas Day al Qaeda Bombing Attempt

Osama bin Laden claims responsibility for Christmas Day bombing attempt and warns of more attacks to come.

This is hardly a belated Christmas Day present that President Barack Hussein Obama wanted to receive. An audio tape was received allegedly from al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden claiming responsibility for the attempted and near successful Christmas Day underwear bombing aboard a plane en route to Michigan.

The tape, which aired on the Arabic-language news Web site Al-Jazeera on Sunday, says “the United States will not dream of enjoying safety until we live it in reality in Palestine.”

The tape continues: “It is not fair to enjoy that kind of life while our brothers in Gaza live in the worst of miseries.”

CNN could not independently confirm the authenticity of the message, but the CIA has in the past confirmed Al-Jazeera reports on tapes from the al Qaeda leader.

White House senior adviser David Axelrod told CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday that while there was no immediate confirmation that the message was authentic, it “contains the same hollow justification for the slaughter of innocent people.” [editors note: Wasn't the election of Barack Obama supposed to change such rhetoric?]

In another section of the audio tape that Al-Jazeera broadcast, the voice says: “God willing our attacks will continue as long as you support the Israelis and may peace be on those who follow guidance.”

President Obama, please take a history lesson or learn to tell the truth and speak the facts. The Muslim world’s opinion of us went South during the Carter Administration and the advent of radical Islam.

President Barack Obama stated that Iran has the right the have nuclear power as long as they use it for good and not evil. That is correct. Barack Hussein Obama thinks its perfectly fine for Iran and their crazed leader President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to have nuclear capability. Are we really supposed to believe that a country with the vast amount of oil that Iran has wants nuclear capability for the use of power rather than bombs?

Hey Barack, are you trying to create a war in the Middle East? How long do you think Israel is going to put up with this? Then again, Obama does seem to be crossing the line with Israel. Iran, a sworn enemy to both the USA and Israel, and we have a President that thinks Iran’s fanatical government is going to use nuclear technology for good. US and Israel relations have certainly taken a turn under Barack Hussein Obama. Not for the better. Why would anyone want to alienate one of the United States greatest allies?

Israeli forces bisect Gaza, surround biggest city

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip – Israeli ground troops and tanks cut swaths through the Gaza Strip early Sunday, cutting the coastal territory into two and surrounding its biggest city as the new phase of a devastating offensive against Hamas militants gained momentum.

The military used overwhelming firepower from tanks, artillery and aircraft to protect the advancing soldiers, and Gaza officials said at least 31 civilians were killed in the onslaught. The military said troops killed several dozen militants, but Gaza officials could confirm only four dead — in part because rescue teams could not reach the battle zones.
