POCAHONTAS UNHINGED …
Just curious, when did non-US citizens get U.S. Constitutional rights to demand entrance into America? The LEFT loses their collective minds over President Donald Trump’s campaign promise of extreme vetting, border security and illegal immigration.
President Donald Trump Tells ABC News’ David Muir … The Construction of Border Wall Will Begin in ‘Months’ (VIDEO)
THE WALL WILL BEGIN IN MONTHS …
In a first and exclusive interview with ABC News, President Donald J. Trump told ABC News anchor David Muir what he had been stating on the campaign trail with regards to building a wall. Trump is going to begin the construction of a border wall between the United States and Mexico within month. Trump said, “As soon as we can, as soon as we can physically do it. I would say in months, yeah. I would say in months, certainly planning is starting immediately.” And yes, Mexico is ultimately going to may for it.
Full interview transcript can be read HERE.
In his first one-on-one television interview since being sworn in as the 45th president of the United States, President Donald Trump told ABC News anchor David Muir that Mexico would be paying for the proposed border wall and that negotiations between the two nations would begin “relatively soon.”
“Ultimately, it will come out of what’s happening with Mexico … and we will be in a form reimbursed by Mexico, which I’ve always said,” Trump said.
During the interview, which took place at the White House this morning, Trump said that Mexico would pay the U.S. back “100 percent.”
He confirmed that U.S. taxpayer dollars would be used to start the construction but said reimbursement would follow.
“All it is, is we’ll be reimbursed at a later date from whatever transaction we make from Mexico,” he said. “I’m just telling you there will be a payment. It will be in a form, perhaps a complicated form. What I’m doing is good for the United States. It’s also going to be good for Mexico. We want to have a very stable, very solid Mexico.”
When asked about the start of construction, Trump said it would happen in “months.”
“As soon as we can, as soon as we can physically do it,” he said. “I would say in months, yeah. I would say in months — certainly planning is starting immediately.”
President Donald Trump to Direct Federal Resources To Building a U.S.-Mexico Border Wall … Also to Eliminate “Sanctuary Cities”
DONALD TRUMP PRESIDENCY, DAY 3: BUILD THAT WALL … IF YOU BUILD IT, THEY WON’T COME.
It is day three of the Donald Trump presidency, might be called, “IMMIGRATION DAY”. Making good an another campaign promise, today the president is supposed to take executive action to direct federal resources toward building a border wall between the United States and Mexico. Trump will also look to eliminate sanctuary cities in the United States and add another 5000 border agents.
President Donald Trump will take executive action Wednesday directing federal resources toward building a border wall, a White House official confirmed to CNN.
The move begins a multi-day roll out of immigration actions that’s also expected to include moves related to refugees and visas. Trump will make the announcement during a visit to the Department of Homeland Security at 1:25 p.m. ET.
Trump himself hinted at Wednesday’s move on Twitter, writing “Big day planned on NATIONAL SECURITY tomorrow. Among many other things, we will build the wall!”
Trump plans to issue two executive orders Wednesday during his visit to the Department of Homeland Security, according to a person familiar with the President’s plan.
The first will direct the agency to begin construction of the border wall, as well as take steps to repair existing areas of fencing along the frontier between the US and Mexico. The order will also include a mandate to increase staff at Customs and Border Protection by 5,000 and alleviate the flood of migrants fleeing violence in Central America.
According to the person familiar with the plans, Trump’s executive order will require DHS to publicly detail what aid is currently directed to Mexico, an indication of an eventual move toward redirecting some of that money to fund the wall’s construction — and giving cover for a longstanding campaign promise to have Mexico pay for the structure.
WELL AT LEAST THE FEDS WILL KNOW WHERE TO GO TO FIND THE ILLEGALS …
Just when you thought you have heard it all, now restaurants in some cities want to get “Sanctuary” status. Like this is ever going to happen. According to reports, some 80 restaurants are participating, in locations including New York, Minneapolis, Detroit, Boston, Oakland, California, and Ann Arbor, Michigan to look to barring the police from asking citizens about immigration status or refusing to cooperate with federal agents, siting anti-discrimination policies. Hmm, maybe these restaurants would like to following US law and use E-VERIFY to actually verify the status of their employees.
Once again we shall ask, what part of “illegal” don’t these restaurants get?
The national debate over immigration policy could be coming to a diner near you.
From down-home delis to upscale bistros, dozens of restaurants nationwide are seeking “sanctuary” status, a designation owners hope will help protect employees in an immigrant-heavy industry and tone down fiery rhetoric sparked by the presidential campaign. First inspired by churches, the label is something cities and other public entities have sought to offer local protections to immigrants living in the U.S. illegally, whether it’s barring police from asking citizens about immigration status or refusing to cooperate with federal agents.
Roughly 80 restaurants are participating, in locations including New York, Minneapolis, Detroit, Boston, Oakland, California, and Ann Arbor, Michigan.
The restaurants agree to anti-discrimination policies, put up signs on windows that pronounce their sanctuary status and receive know-your-rights training, such as webinars on how to ask federal immigration agents for proper paperwork if there’s an attempted raid. Some will also offer a text line for customers or employees to report any incidents of harassment.
At Detroit’s Russell Street Deli, which serves up deli sandwiches and hotcakes, customers walking in the front door of the racially-diverse restaurant see a sign that reads: “SANCTUARY RESTAURANT a place at the table for everyone.”
Barack Obama Repeals Cuban Immigration Policy, No Residency Without Visa … Ends “Wet Foot, Dry Foot” policy
UNREAL … OBAMA TRYING TO SCREW UP AS MUCH STUFF AS POSSIBLE ON HIS WAY OUT THE DOOR …
Lame duck President Barack Obama announced Thursday he is ending a longstanding immigration policy that allows any Cuban who makes it to U.S. soil to stay and become a legal resident, known as the wet foot, dry foot” policy. UNREAL. Letting illegals come across the Mexican border as well as un-vetted Syrian refugees are perfectly okay to come to the United States, but not Cubans fleeing communist Cuba. Woe, Obama got tough on immigration. Well kinda, in a vindictive way. Let this be a lesson to all as to who Obama really is as he cozies up to the Castro boy
s. Hmm, of course it would have nothing to do that Cubans tend to vote more Republican would it? However, as Obama would have never had the nerve to do this prior to the 2016 presidential election, the spineless one manages to find it in himself to do it on the way out the dorr. How brave Mr. President. Look for this and many more things that Obama sets on fire on his way out the door to be undone by President-elect Donald Trump.
President Barack Obama announced Thursday he is ending a longstanding immigration policy that allows any Cuban who makes it to U.S. soil to stay and become a legal resident.
The repeal of the “wet foot, dry foot” policy is effective immediately. The decision follows months of negotiations focused in part on getting Cuba to agree to take back people who had arrived in the U.S.
“Effective immediately, Cuban nationals who attempt to enter the United States illegally and do not qualify for humanitarian relief will be subject to removal, consistent with U.S. law and enforcement priorities,” Obama said in a statement. “By taking this step, we are treating Cuban migrants the same way we treat migrants from other countries. The Cuban government has agreed to accept the return of Cuban nationals who have been ordered removed, just as it has been accepting the return of migrants interdicted at sea.”
Obama is using an administrative rule change to end the policy. Donald Trump could undo that rule after becoming president next week. He has criticized Obama’s moves to improve relations with Cuba. But ending a policy that has allowed hundreds of thousands of people to come to the United States without a visa also aligns with Trump’s commitment to tough immigration policies.
President Bill Clinton created “wet foot, dry foot” policy in 1995 as a revision of a more liberal immigration policy that allowed Cubans caught at sea to come to the United States become legal residents in a year.
