ABC-WAPO Poll has Presidential Race Tied at 47% to 47% Between Romney and Obama … But Obama is he’s losing swing voting independents by a record 14%

Its a dead heat according to the most recent ABC-WAPO poll between President Barack Obama and GOP challenger Mitt Romney. However, those polled disapprove of Obama’s handling of the economy (54%-44%), health care (52%-41%) and immigration issues(52%-38%).  However, here is no most significant aspect of the poll that makes one wonder how is this a tie? How does one lose in such key issues and demographics and it still be a tie? Is the sampling from non-swing states and solid blue one’s counted too much in the sampling?

Economic discontent and substantial dissatisfaction with Barack Obama’s performance in office are keeping Mitt Romney competitive in the presidential race – but not by enough of a margin to overcome Obama’s stronger personal profile. The result: A dead heat in voter preferences at the midsummer stage, with the prospect of an epic battle ahead.

Yet Romney faces significant challenges of his own in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll. His supporters are more apt to be against Obama than explicitly for Romney – a “negative” vote that can be less compelling than an affirmative one. His supporters are less strongly enthusiastic than Obama’s. While Obama is vulnerable on the economy, Romney is weakly rated on having offered a clear economic plan. And Obama leads on a range of personal attributes – empathy, standing up for his beliefs and, especially, basic likeability.

Federal Judge Rejects Obama Admin & Holder’s DOJ Request to Stop Florida’s Non-Citizen Voter Purge to Stop Voter Fraud

Wow, didn’t U.S. District Judge Robert Hinkle get the Obama memo of Team Reelect Obama as to how they planned to win Florida? Another blow to President Barack Obama and Attorney Eric Holder.

Finally some common sense in the ruling of whether the state of Florida should stop the purge their voter rolls of non-citizens. U.S. District Judge Robert Hinkle rejected the DOJ’s restraining order. Judge Hinkle stated that the 90 day provision of purging voter rolls pertained to citizens, not non-citizens. What a novel concept, non-US citizens are not allowed to vote. What is Obama to do now? Talk about your bad weeks, it is going to be a toss up as to who might be having a worse week, President Barack Obama or Attorney General Eric Holder.

A federal judge rejected a request from the Obama administration to put an immediate stop to the state’s non-citizen voter purge program.

The Justice Department had asked for a restraining order, arguing that the program attempting to remove 2,600 non-citizens from the voter rolls violated federal voting law that prohibits the systemic removal of voters 90 days before an election.

U.S. District Judge Robert Hinkle said that, according to his reading of the law, the 90-day provision did not apply to removing non-citizens from the rolls. But, he also chastised the state, saying there were “some problems” with the way that the program had been carried out.

“Determining citizenship is not as easy as the state would have it,” Hinkle said in a ruling from the bench made about a half hour after arguments concluded. “Questioning someone’s citizenship isn’t as trivial as the state would have it.”

Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio: “I’m Not Stopping Anything” … “I am not going to Bend to the Feds when there are State Laws to Enforce”

Yesterday, Sheriff Joe Apraio was on Fox News with Neil Cavuto discussing the Court’s ruling as to the Arizona illegal immigration laws. Arizona Sheriff Joe Apraio said that there seems to be a war on Arizona over this illegal immigration problem. Apraio also went on to say, “I’m Not Stopping Anything”.

“I’m not stopping anything. I’m going to continue to enforce those state laws regardless of what the federal government is trying to put pressure on me to satisfy all these activists, which by the way are in front of my building right now.”

“Three and half years they’ve been in front of my building. So, I’m not going to bend to the federal government, especially when we still have state laws to enforce.”

Let’s just take a moment to remember the Presidential oath of Office that Barack Hussin Obama took. I guess we know know what Obama’s best ability is of defending the Constitution.

HOPE AND CHANGE, OBAMA VINDICTIVE STYLE …

First Arizona Jan Governor responds to the US Supreme Court ‘s ruling on Arizona’s Immigration Law S.S. 1070, then 3 hours later Brewer and the citizens of Arizona were presented with the Obama White House and Homeland’s Security’s vindictive reprisal. Homeland Security and Janet Napalitano suspended the seven 287(g) task force agreements with Arizona law enforcement officials.

In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News today, Gov. Jan Brewer (R-AZ), the woman who signed into law SB 1070, the controversial bill dealing with illegal immigration upheld in part by the Supreme Court today, called the ruling a “victory” but added that the federal government was continuing to place Arizona “under assault.”

“I believe that this Supreme Court unanimously upheld the section that it is the heart of the bill,” she said. “It’s a victory for the rule of law and the 10th amendment.”

No sooner did the SCOTUS make their decision and the Obama Administration attacked in only the vindictive nature that they know how suspended the 287(g) agreements with Arizona that allowed state and federal authorities to work together in battling illegal immigration. Wow, the Obama Administration just declared war on Arizona. Feds set up a hotline for people to nark on the state officials for so-called civil rights violations. This is the equivalence to a ‘wanted poster’ for state authorities doing their job as voted unanimously bt the SCOTUS. What on earth is going on?

Following the Supreme Court decision about Arizona’s immigration law, Greta Van Susteren spoke with Arizona Governor Jan Brewer, who wasn’t sky in holding back her feelings about the decision. Brewer — who you may recall had a brief, finger-wagging encounter with President Obama — criticized the current administration for abandoning Arizona, and not letting her protect her state’s citizens.

“This is politics at its best,” Brewer said of the decision, expressing the rescinding of 287(g) privileges, which would allow law enforcement to use a database system to verify citizenship status. From the beginning, she said, the Obama administration has “downplayed the border situation Arizona” faces daily. And they sued the state “for trying to protect the citizens.”

It is obvious that Barack Obama must go. No one will be able to deal with a President who will not enforce the rule of law in America when he decides as a King that he does not want to. It is impossible to deal with the obstruction of the Obama Administration and Attorney general Eric Holder with regards to ‘Fast and Furious’ and now when they do not get their way, they try and punish a state. There must be comprehensive immigration reform in the US; however, Obama is hardly the honest broker to have as President to ever attempt such a change. Obama changed immigration law last week by executive fiat in stating that only a certain group of people will be granted amnesty. Even though he had previously stated he did not have the authority.

Also, the commentary from Rush Limbaugh regarding ‘The Regime Refuses to Enforce the Border and Tells the State of Arizona to Go to Hell’. Limbaugh went on to say, “He has written off the state of Texas. He’s written off white, working families. He’s now written off the state of Arizona. Arizona was a state that was in play. I don’t even understand why, but it was a state that was in play according to all the experts and all the presidential polling data. Well, not any longer! Arizona is… He doesn’t care.”

“It just is incomprehensible to think that this has all taken place today. And it ticks me off. I think that it should tick the people of America off,” she added. “And it’s almost become apparent that they can do whatever they darn well want! They don’t want to enforce their laws. They won’t let us help them enforce their laws.” [...]

Brewer also criticized the policy shift in an interview with John King of CNN.

“They arbitrarily single out Arizona and sent a bomb, if you will, across our bow and made Arizona once again a target,” she said. “The people of America ought to be outraged. This is absolutely an assault.”

Following SCOTUS Decison on Arizona Immigration, Homeland Security Suspends Immigration Agreements With Arizona Police

Talk about vindictive … Once again King Obama speaks and disregards the US Constitution, the US Supreme Court and his Oath of office … How’s that “hopey, changey” thing working out for you America?

In yet another act of Executive defiance, Barack Obama’s Homeland Security suspends Immigration agreements with Arizona police over enforcement of federal immigration laws. They have issued a a directive telling federal authorities to decline many of the calls reporting cases of illegal immigration.  The following is an act of a sore loser President. On Monday the administration officials also said they are ending the seven 287(g) task force agreements with Arizona law enforcement officials, which proactively had granted some local police the powers to enforce immigration laws. UNREAL. So much for the rule of law and separation of powers. We have a President who thinks he is King.

The Obama administration said Monday it is suspending existing agreements with Arizona police over enforcement of federal immigration laws, and said it has issued a directive telling federal authorities to decline many of the calls reporting illegal immigrants that the Homeland Security Department may get from Arizona police.

Administration officials, speaking on condition they not be named, told reporters they expect to see an increase in the number of calls they get from Arizona police — but that won’t change President Obama’s decision to limit whom the government actually tries to detain and deport.

“We will not be issuing detainers on individuals unless they clearly meet our defined priorities,” one official said in a telephone briefing.

The official said that despite the increased number of calls, which presumably means more illegal immigrants being reported, the Homeland Security Department is unlikely to detain a significantly higher number of people and won’t be boosting personnel to handle the new calls.

The Lonely Conservative says, why should we be surprised by the actions of the Obama Administration. If this is how they act, when the SCOTUS rules, could you imagine what Obama and his henchman will do of the Court strikes down Obamacare?

So this is what you get when you dare go against Barack Obama, you wind up on his enemies list. As stated at the PJ Tatler, This is a political maneuver designed to punish Arizona. Barack Obama congratulates the Muslim Brotherhood on their victory in the Egyptian Presidency, yet attack a US State and tries to make an example out of them because they dare defy der Obama on enforcing illegal immigration. Obama must be voted out in 2012, can you only imagine the disregard of the people and the US Constitution with a lame duck President?

It also tells us that the administration has given up on winning Arizona, which until recently was considered a swing state, this fall. Obama has written it off, and is now going Soviet on it to make it an example to others. He is essentially kicking Arizona out of whatever is left of the federal government’s border enforcement, declaring to smugglers and traffickers that Arizona is very much on its own.

Supreme Court Decides Arizona Immigration Law S.B. 1070, Struck Down Parts But Upholds Key Immigration Status Check Provision

Today, the US Supreme Court ruled on Arizona Immigration Law S.B. 1070 and struck the provisions dealing with state criminal penalties and other provisions which imposed procedural requirements on illegals in the state.  Among the provisions the Court struck is the one requiring that a person be detained if the police officer believes the person is removable. However, the SCOTUS upheld the key Immigration status check provision. Although one has to wonder what good it is if there is no penalty.

By a vote of 6-2, the court voided a provision making it a state crime for an immigrant to fail to carry federal registration papers. By 5-3 votes, it invalidated sections that authorized jail time for illegal immigrants who seek work in Arizona and that gave state and local police more power to arrest immigrants suspected of offenses.

Arizona’s one victory came in the court’s decision to uphold the status-check provision. Federal law already requires immigration authorities to respond to checks from state and local officers, indicating that Congress saw nothing wrong with such “consultation” between arms of government, the court said.

It would appear Justice Scalia gets it, too bad the majority of the Justices did not.

Justice Samuel Alito agreed with the majority that Arizona’s alien-registration requirement was void, but voted to uphold SB 1070 provisions making it a crime for illegal immigrants to seek work and authorizing warrantless arrests of certain aliens. Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas each filed separate dissents arguing that SB 1070 should be upheld in its entirety.

The majority “deprives States of what most would consider the defining characteristic of sovereignty: the power to exclude from the sovereign’s territory people who have no right to be there,” Justice Scalia wrote.

So How Does Obama’s Young Illegal Immigrants’ Amnesty Affect Competition for Jobs & College With Legal Americans?

Barack Obama, when you can’t run on the past 3+ failed years, 8.2% unemployment, record number of Americans on food stamps, a failed $787 billion stimulus plan, failed green energy companies, Obamacare and a terrible job recovery plan … you conquer, divide, play another race card and change the narrative strictly for political reasons.

Barack Obama, the Politician in Chief turned his back on America and the US Constitution so to pander to Hispanics for his reelection.  Thus the reason why a President should never be allowed to make a unilateral change in immigration policy … when its done 100% for political reelection reasons, damn the American economy and actual legal Americans.

‘Barack Obama does not even believe he has the authority to grant amnesty to certain illegals by executive order’

President Barack Obama bypassed Congress and changed immigration policy for a segment of the “illegal” immigrants on Friday with his passage of an Executive order offering legal status to some undocumented immigrants under the age of 30.  Forget whether Obama had the right to make such a law and single out a specific group of people, what about the affects that such a “political” act will have on the economy, and those legal Americans to compete for jobs and education? Suddenly 85,000, maybe more, work permits are going to be given to “illegals” and flood the market.

President Obama has just opened a floodgate of opportunity for young illegal immigrants in the United States, but could it squeeze the aspirations of legal Americans in the process?

Emperor-in-Chief Barack Obama Issues ‘Dream Act’ …Grants Immunity to Illegal Alien Children Bypassing Congress Even though Obama Previously Stated US President Did not Have Authority to Do So (VIDEO)

It’s good to be King … Just one problem, the United States has a President and Three branches of Government, Executive, Legislative and Judicial.

Barack Obama, the Emperor in Chief bypasses the Congress and signed into law by Executive order his version of the ‘Dream Act’. The Presidents Executive order would stop deporting some illegal immigrants who were brought to the country as children and have gone on to be productive and otherwise law-abiding “illegal” residents. So why now? Barack Obama had 3+ year to do such a thing, but did nothing. Obama had a Democrat controlled House and Senate for the first two yeas of his Presidency and did nothing. This has nothing to do with anything but desperate politics, an upcoming election and pandering to the Mexican vote with “back door amnesty”. As stated at Hot Air, “Obama on new DREAM Act policy: This isn’t amnesty, it’s the right thing to do”. Whether that is or is not the case, it is not up to the President to pass the law.

President Obama said Friday his administration would stop deporting some illegal immigrants who were brought to the country as children and have gone on to be productive and otherwise law-abiding residents, forcing the emotional immigration policy debate into the forefront of the presidential campaign.

Obama described his decision as the “right thing to do for the American people,” but many Democrats and immigration advocates also saw it as the right strategic move to boost his reelection chances.

The policy puts political pressure on Obama’s Republican challenger, Mitt Romney, by highlighting past GOP opposition to legislation designed to help young immigrants and by forcing Romney to confront his party’s sharp divisions over the issue.

But the shift also carried some danger for the president, who risks alienating centrist swing voters who tend to be more conservative on immigration issues and could see the move as politically opportunistic.

Several conservative Republican lawmakers quickly denounced Obama’s move as “backdoor amnesty.”

Obviously, comprehensive immigration reform needs to take place; however, this is hardly the way to do it by Executive fiat. Dealing with children brought to the US at no fault of their own is the last thing to deal with, not the first. Border security should be handled first, not last. All this executive order does is not create a greater “illegal” immigrant magnet for individuals to come into the country against the laws of the United States.

Once again we see how Barack Obama is a complete, ineffective leader. Obama is a hyper-active partisan who has ZERO ability to work with others and get things done. Bill Clinton worked with the Republican Congress, George Bush worked with the Democrat Lion of the Senate Ted Kennedy on ‘no child left behind” and Ronald Reagan worked with a Democrat controlled Congress and the “Reagan” Democrats … not Obama. The most liberal, socialist President ever has no concept of how to play nice with others. Instead, he thinks he is a King and just does things in spite of what the laws might say. Case in point prior to this, Obamacare.

OBAMA DISREGARDS CONGRESS AND PASSES LAW ON CHILDREN OF ILLEGALS … IS THIS LEGAL?

Why did Obama have a change of heart as opposed to what he has said in the past when interviewed o Univision regarding how laws of “illegal” immigration are passed in the US? Watch the VIDEO below at the 7:15 mark where Barack Obama says, “… that is the law that is on the books right now.  The way our system works the President does not have the authority to simply ignore Congress and say we are not going enforce the laws that you passed”.   So how did Obama go from his hands were tied with regards to the “Dream Act” to unilaterally changing and creating new immigration law in the US? How long before Democrats will be demanding that these folks are allowed to vote? After all, that is really what this is all about, creating a new monolithic voting block for Dems.

Iowa Republican Rep. Steve King said Friday that he plans to sue the Obama administration to halt implementation of its newly announced selective illegal immigration law enforcement policy. He told Mike Huckabee on the former Arkansas governor’s radio program Friday that he successfully sued his own state’s governor — and won — over a similar separation-of-powers issue.

“I will tell you that — I’m not without experience on this — I’m prepared to bring a suit and seek a court order to stop implementation of this policy,” King said

“I have done it once in the past successfully when then-Governor Tom Vilsack thought he could legislate by executive order — and the case of King vs. Vilsack is in the books.

Obama Administration Files Law Suit Against Sheriff Joe Arpaio Over Trumped Up Racism Charges

Unbelievable ... the Obama Department of Justice and Eric Holder are out of control and have politicized the Justice Department like no other administration. The Justice Department is accusing sheriff Joe Arpaio and his office using “unconstitutional and unlawful actions” in their handling of Hispanics. Believe it or not, the feds want to put one of their lackeys in place to monitor Arpio’s actions. If anything ‘We the People” need monitors to look over the shoulder of Barack Obama and Eric Holder on a daily basis.

The Justice Department, which first targeted Sheriff Joe Arpaio four years ago in his suspected mishandling of illegal immigrants arrested in the Phoenix area, filed a civil lawsuit in federal court Thursday accusing the sheriff and his office using “unconstitutional and unlawful actions” in their handling of Hispanics.

The complaint alleges that the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) and Sheriff Arpaio, the nation’s so-called toughest sheriff, engaged in and continue to engage in a pattern or practice of.

As stated at the Gateway Pundit, “the Obama Administration actually accused Arpaio of blatant disregard of the US Constitution.” This coming from the people who have brought us “Obamacare”.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio reacts to U.S. DOJ lawsuit.

An angry Sheriff Joe said the feds just want to take over his office and have no evidence.

“They do not care how long it will be, what it costs, just that they are taking on the sheriff, taking care of local activists and taking me to court,” said Sheriff Arpaio.

The sheriff says he could accept an auditor to review what he does, but not a monitor to force changes.

“Monitors are not something to fear, they are something to embrace when you have problems. But if you don’t acknowledge the problem then it is hard to embrace the need for reform,” said Perez.

This Obama-Holder Justice Department is out of control. Where was Holder and the Justice Department when it came to prosecuation the New Black Panther Party and voter intimidation?  They need to go and go now.
