Democratic Pollster Mark Penn: 84% of Americans Support Turning Undocumented Immigrants Over to Authorities

THE LEFT ONCE GAIN OUT OF TOUCH WITH THE AMERICAN PEOPLE … SANCTUARY CITY POLICIES OUT OF TOUCH WITH THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

Democratic pollster Mark Penn stated during an interview with Hill.TV “Rising,” that 84% of Americans favor turning undocumented immigrants over to federal agents. Penn asked during polling, “Do you think notifying ICE would in fact increase crime because it would inhibit people from reporting crimes or does it decrease crimes because it takes criminals off the street?” According to Penn, the overwhelming majority said, “decrease.” This is in stark contrast with Democrats and Lefties who are  calling for the end of ICE. Eighty-four percent of respondents is a lot more than just Trump voters and Independents. That would include many Democrats as well. But Democrats are openly calling for the end of ICE, which some think is insanity and a gift to the GOP. Ya think?

Prominent Democratic pollster Mark Penn said on Thursday that a vast majority of Americans don’t really support so-called sanctuary cities that shield immigrants in the country illegally from deportation.

Penn, who served as chief strategist for Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign, revealed that 84 percent of Americans favor turning undocumented immigrants over to federal agents.

“I asked them, ‘Do you think notifying ICE [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] would in fact increase crime because it would inhibit people from reporting crimes or does it decrease crimes because it takes criminals off the street,’ and they overwhelming said ‘decrease,’ ” Penn told Hill.TV “Rising.”

Penn said the response was strikingly “out of sync” with what the public might think about sanctuary cities. The broad term refers to cities that don’t fully cooperate with federal authorities when it comes to turning over people in the country illegally to immigration enforcement.

Rasmussen: Voters Blame Parents Illegally Crossing US Border, Not Feds, For Border Children Crisis

MAJORITY OF AMERICANS BLAME ILLEGAL PARENTS, NOT FEDS …

According to a recent Rasmussen poll, 54% of Likely U.S. Voters say the parents are more to blame for breaking the law. Imagine that? If one actually wants to be honest and not political and just look at this with root cause analysis, it is obvious where the problem is. That would be using the 5 Why’s to the LEFT and Never-Trumpers.  Another 54% agree with President Trump when he says, “The United States will not be a migrant camp. And it will not be a refugee-holding facility – it won’t be.” As reported at The Daily Caller, The media has put a hyper focus on the separation of families at the border over the last several weeks, leading President Donald Trump to sign an executive order ending the separation. Current U.S. law does not allow families to be detained together if the parents are referred for prosecution for illegal border crossing.

Most voters blame the parents of the separated children at the border for the latest illegal immigration crisis, not the federal government.

When families are arrested and separated after attempting to enter the United States illegally, 54% of Likely U.S. Voters say the parents are more to blame for breaking the law. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that only 35% believe the federal government is more to blame for enforcing the law. Eleven percent (11%) are not sure. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

To help understand the current political debate over the children issue, a closer look shows that 82% of Republicans and 56% of voters not affiliated with either major political party feel the parents are more to blame for breaking the law. But 60% of Democrats say the government is more to blame for enforcing the law.

Among all voters, 49% say the administration is too aggressive trying to stop illegal immigration. Twenty-five percent (25%) say it’s not aggressive enough, while 21% view the administration’s policies as about right.

Fifty-four percent (54%) agree with President Trump when he says, “The United States will not be a migrant camp. And it will not be a refugee-holding facility – it won’t be.” Thirty percent (30%) disagree, while 16% are undecided.

President Donald Trump Ends ‘Catch and Release’ Immigration Policy

TRUMP ENDS CATCH AND RELEASE …

President Donald Trump has signed a memo ending “catch and relase” illegal immigration policy. It is about time! The White House announced late Friday the end of the “catch and release” policy for illegal immigrants. Catch and release is the practice by which immigrants presenting themselves at the border without authorization are released from detention while waiting for their cases to be processed. Yeah, like how many of them actually show up for their hearing as opposed to becoming illegal residents of the United States? President Trump ran for president to reform immigration policy. Even though the do-nothing Congress hasn’t passed any type of sweeping reform, the administration is taking steps to make policies stricter. And Republicans wonder why they are in trouble for the 208 midterm elections.

U.S. President Donald Trump signed a memorandum on Friday ordering the end of a policy, known as “catch and release,” in which illegal immigrants are released from detention while awaiting a court hearing on their status.

As part of the memo, Trump asked Defense Secretary Jim Mattis to produce a list of military facilities that could be used to detain illegal immigrants.

ICE Raids Southeastern Provision Meatpacking Plant in Bean Station, TN; 97 Illegal Immigrants Arrested

THE ICE MAN COMETH … ICE ARRESTS 97 ILLEGALS AT MEAT PROCESSING PLANT IN TENNESSEE.

Federal ICE agents arrested 97 illegal immigrants at a meat processing company in rural Bean Station, Tennessee. The raid at Southeastern Provision was the largest workplace raid in a decade. Of the 97 arrested, ten people were arrested on federal immigration charges, one person was arrested on state charges and 86 immigrants were detained for being in the country illegally. The feds began investigating Southeastern Provision months ago after Citizens Bank employees noticed that the meat packing company was withdrawing large sums of cash every week,  more than $25 million since 2008. According to a federal affidavit, the family-run meat packing plant is under criminal investigation for allegedly evading taxes, filing false tax returns and hiring immigrants in the country illegally. It is alleged the facility failed to report $8.4 million in wages and to pay at least $2.5 million in payroll taxes for dozens of undocumented workers. So much for mandatory E-verify. This is just another effort if removing the illegal work “magnets”.

ICE

Federal officials arrested 97 immigrants at a meat-processing plant in rural Tennessee on Thursday in what civil rights organizations said was the largest single workplace raid in a decade and a sign that the Trump administration is carrying out its plan to aggressively ramp up enforcement this year.

Ten people were arrested on federal immigration charges, one person was arrested on state charges and 86 immigrants were detained for being in the country illegally, Tammy Spicer, a spokeswoman for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said in a statement Friday. All of those arrested are suspected of being in the country illegally, she said. Immigration advocates said most were from Mexico.

The raid on Southeastern Provision in Bean Station, Tennessee, follows arrests at 7-Eleven stores and other workplaces nationwide. Last year, the nation’s top immigration official said he had ordered agents to increase the number of work-site inspections and operations by “four or five times” this year, to turn off the job “magnets” that attract immigrants who are in the country illegally and punish employers who hire them.

The National Immigration Law Center and other immigrant advocates said the Tennessee raid was the largest since the George W. Bush administration and deployed many of the tactics of that era, with a surprise blitz of the factory and streets blocked by state and local authorities. ICE officials would not say where the raid ranked in terms of size.

“People are panicked,” said Stephanie Teatro, co-executive director of the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition, a statewide organization that came to the small town and set up intake centers at local churches where relatives could report their loved ones missing. “People are terrified to drive. People are terrified to leave their homes.”

Of the 86 immigrants arrested on civil immigration charges, ICE released 32 but did not explain why. The remaining 54 were being detained, but the agency did not provide their names or say where they were being held.

From 1989 to 2016 this illegal admitted he received around $361,000 in benefits. WTF!!!

From FOX News:

Andres Avelino Anduaga, 66 – who hails from Tijuana, Mexico – admitted in San Diego federal court on Thursday that he assumed the fake identity of a Texas resident named Abraham Riojos in 1980 after obtaining a fraudulent birth certificate, and then successfully applied for a California driver’s license, Social Security number and passport.

From 1989 to 2016, according to the plea agreement, he received around $361,000 in benefits — which included Medi-Cal, food stamps and Supplemental Security Income benefits.

The fake identity also enabled Anduaga – identified as an illegal immigrant and repeat felon – to go back-and-forth without restriction between Mexico and the United States, which he was alleged to have been doing multiple times per week.

“The programs that this defendant stole from – for decades – provide benefits to America’s most needy. This prosecution demonstrates the commitment of the United States Attorney’s Office to protecting the integrity of our welfare programs and punishing those who prey on the goodwill of our nation and its taxpayers,” stated U.S Attorney Adam Braverman.
