MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL FROM SCARED MONKEYS … GOD BLESS

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL FROM SCARED MONKEYS

SMXmas2007

We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. Especially those that cannot be with their families during this special day. A special Merry Christmas goes to the brave men and women in our military who spend this day away from their families so that we may have Peace. God Bless you, everyone.

Scared Monkeys has dealt with so many families that have gone through difficult times during this past year. We wish them the peace of the Lord on this Christmas day that they might find comfort from any pain.

We also wish a special Christmas Greetings to all who have sacrificed for others. There is nothing more special that giving to others and the giving of yourself to others. Especially, giving to people that you have never met. The ultimate gift is one where no thanks is every expected.

THE REASON FOR THE SEASON

” Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Emmanuel. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgement and with justice from henceforth even for ever.”

Luke 2:10-17
And the angel said to them, Be not afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord This will be a sign to you: You wilt find a baby wrapped in strips of cloths and lying in a manger.

The last was held Monday night, giving police, firefighters, recovery workers and victims’ families a final chance to pray on Christmas Eve at the site, where intensifying construction is increasingly taking up open space.

About 82% of Americans in 2007 told Gallup interviewers that they identified with a Christian religion. That includes 51% who said they were Protestant, 5% who were “other Christian,” 23% Roman Catholic, and 3% who named another Christian faith, including 2% Mormon.
Because 11% said they had no religious identity at all, and another 2% didn’t answer, these results suggest that well more than 9 out of 10 Americans who identify with a religion are Christian in one way or the other.

Favorite Non-Religious Christmas Holiday Songs …

Give us your favorite non-religious Christmas songs.

1. Christmas Eve Sarajevo Live – Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Anyone who has seen The Trans-Siberian Orchestra live in concert know how great this song is let alone the entire experience. The Trans-Siberian Orchestra Christmas concert is one of the best shows you can ever go to any time of the year. It is a Christmas tradition for the Red’s.

2. Snoopy vs. The Red Baron (Snoopy’s Christmas) – Royal Guardsmen

This is one of my all time favorites as a kid. Many have not heard of The Royal Guardsmen, an obscure music group that formed in Ocala, FL.

3. Frosty the Snowman – Jimmy Durante

4. I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas – Bing Crosby

Not only one of the best Christmas songs of all times, one of the greatest Christmas movies of all times as well.

5. Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer - Burl Ives

Honestly, anything sung by Burl Ives is a Christmas favorite … Silver Bells, A Holly, Jolly Christmas, Silver and Gold, and on and on and on. In many respects, Burl Ives is Christmas when it comes to music.

Art Conrad Protests Commercialism of Christmas with Crucifix and Santa Claus … “Santa died for your MasterCard”

“Santa died for your MasterCard.”

One way or another Art Conrad has certainly got people’s attention with his protest Santa_Crucifixthis year of the commercialism of Christmas. Art Conrad in a protest against the commercialization of Christmas has nailed a Santa Claus to a 15 foot high crucifix in his front yard. Credit cards may actually be the anti-Christ. Conrad’s protest is a slap in the face statement in so many ways that will be discussed both on a secular and religious level.

The Bremerton, Wash., resident is fed up with the commercial aspects of Christmas, and he’s voicing his protest in the form of some unorthodox holiday decorating: Santa on the cross.

Conrad has nailed jolly old St. Nick to a 15-foot crucifix in front of his home.

“Santa has been perverted from who he started out to be,” Conrad said. “Now he’s the person being used by corporations to get us to buy more stuff.” (The Daily News)
