Dominique Sharpton, Al Sharpton’s Daughter Sues New York City for $5M after Spraining Ankle (Update: Pics of Dominique Sharpton Hiking Mountains)

The apple does not fall far from the shake down tree in the Sharpton family … or is it by Shaking the Apple tree, trying to take a bite out of the Big Apple?

28 year old Dominique Sharpton, the daughter of Rev. Al Sharpton is suing the city of New York for $5 million. Dominique Sharpton is claiming she fell in the street, sprained her ankle and severely injured and bruised her ankle because of uneven pavement at the corner of Broome Street and Broadway downtown. Good grief. It would appear that Dominique has learned from the master of shakedown. According to her lawsuit, she “still suffers and will continue to suffer for some time physical pain and bodily injuries.” Dominique Sharpton claims she fell in a crosswalk, which would make hers a “defective roadway” claim. However, in December Dominique was good to go for NAN’s Justice for All march in Washington, DC and for a New Year’s Eve jaunt to Miami Beach. And even with the claims of “permanent physical pain, there are pics on social-media of her in high heels, and another of her climbing a ladder to decorate a Christmas tree. Yup, she has learned well from the Shakedown master.

My Monkey senses make me say the following …

Things That Make You Go Hmm

Shakedown artist Al Sharpton’s eldest child wants $5 million from city taxpayers after she fell in the street and sprained her ankle, court records show.

Dominique Sharpton, 28, says she was “severely injured, bruised and wounded” when she stumbled over uneven pavement at the corner of Broome Street and Broadway downtown last year, according to a lawsuit.

Currently on vacation in Bali, the membership director for her gadfly dad’s National Action Network claims she “still suffers and will continue to suffer for some time physical pain and bodily injuries,” according to the suit filed against the city departments of Transportation and Environmental Protection.

“I sprained my ankle real bad lol,” she wrote in a post to Instagram after the Oct. 2 fall.

She was pictured in a walking boot in the weeks following the tumble, but by December, Dominique was good to go for NAN’s Justice for All march in Washington, DC, and for a New Year’s Eve jaunt to Miami Beach.

And despite claiming “permanent physical pain” in a breathless notice of claim, there are social-media shots of her in high heels, and another of her climbing a ladder to decorate a Christmas tree.

Hmm, isn’t that called fraud if you claim one thing and it is a knowing false claim?

From Weasel Zippers comes the screen shot of Sharpton’s daughter, who is currently of vacation in Bali hiking up mountains. How many Americans in this terrible economy can afford to take a vacation to Bali? Oh but wait, I thought she claimed permanent physical pain? So sharpton’s daughter is looking to ceat the NYC tax payers out of money with a trunped up claim that she injured herself as she

Oh wait, here is another picture from Dominique Sharpton’s Instagram site showing her hiking in Red Rock canyon about a month ago. Because everyone knows that some one with a severe and permanent damage to their ankle can hike there. Of course I guess it is just a coincidence that her daddy Sharpton owes $4.5 million in back taxes.

NYC should sue her for fraud.

UPDATE I: The Rev. Al Sharpton’s daughter unwittingly proved that her $5 million sprained-ankle suit against the city is a mountain of BS.

It not only adds up to no case, it amounts to fraud.

Dominique Sharpton posted pictures to Instagram showing she completed a difficult mountain climb in Bali, Indonesia — even though her suit says that “she still suffers” debilitating pain after twisting her ankle in a street crack in Soho last year.

She didn’t seem to realize that her mountaineering exploits might undermine her legal claims as she bragged online about the difficulty of her ascent.

What legal experts saw as truly unreal, however, is the younger Sharpton’s brazen boasting after she claimed in court papers that she was in “permanent physical pain.”

“It is starting to look like Tawana Brawley is orchestrating the Sharpton trial strategy,” quipped CNN legal analyst Paul Callan. “It graphically demonstrates bad judgment and good feet. It all adds up to no case.”

Sabrina Rubin Erdely, Author of Rolling Stone Magazine Article on University of Virginia Rape Offers Apology for False Story to all but the Fraternity

HEY SABRINA, YOU MISSED SOME ONE IN YOUR APOLOGY FOR FALSE RAPE STORY …

Rolling Stone magazine is in full retreat on their now completely discredited University of Virginia rape story where the so-called rape victim, Jackie, was assaulted at a UVA fraternity. The author of the article, Sabrina Rubin Erdely, is now offering an apology and Rolling Stone is asking what went wrong. Hmm, you mean besides everything? Rolling Stone has officially retracted the article, ‘A Rape on Campus,’ as nothing can ce corroborated; however, has the damage already been done? Sabrina Rubin Erdely offered an apology saying, “I want to offer my deepest apologies: to Rolling Stone’s readers, to my Rolling Stone editors and colleagues, to the U.V.A. community, and to any victims of sexual assault who may feel fearful as a result of my article.” Um, and I can’t actually believe I am saying this as I have no love for the fraternity system, but where is Rolling Stone’s apology to the  Phi Kappa Psi fraternity where the faux rape occurred? Could it be because the fraternity will most likely sue Rolling Stone for libel?

Rape is a terrible crime unto itself and affects a victim for the rest of their life. But to report such a sensational, false story like this and not have any journalistic integrity, no fact checking, no nothing what so ever, is a crime itself.

RollingStone_Rape

Sabrina Rubin Erdely, the author of a now-discredited article in Rolling Stone magazine about a rape at a University of Virginia fraternity, issued this statement:

“The past few months, since my Rolling Stone article “A Rape on Campus” was first called into question, have been among the most painful of my life. Reading the Columbia account of the mistakes and misjudgments in my reporting was a brutal and humbling experience. I want to offer my deepest apologies: to Rolling Stone’s readers, to my Rolling Stone editors and colleagues, to the U.V.A. community, and to any victims of sexual assault who may feel fearful as a result of my article.

“Over my 20 years of working as an investigative journalist — including at Rolling Stone, a magazine I grew up loving and am honored to work for — I have often dealt with sensitive topics and sources. In writing each of these stories I must weigh my compassion against my journalistic duty to find the truth. However, in the case of Jackie and her account of her traumatic rape, I did not go far enough to verify her story. I allowed my concern for Jackie’s well-being, my fear of re-traumatizing her, and my confidence in her credibility to take the place of more questioning and more facts. These are mistakes I will not make again.

There seems to be more missing from the Rolling Stone mea culpa on this false rape article that they published, who is being held responsible for such a miscarriage of journalism? Who got suspended, who got fired … no one. So how are we to believe this will never happen again at Rolling Stone, because they said so? Sorry folks, but as private investigators Sam Spade, Humphrey Bogart, said in The Maltese Falcon, some one must take the fall.

So, there was a massive “failure of journalism” here, but none of the journalists who failed so massively will lose their jobs, and none of the journalistic practices that led to this failure will change.

Somehow, this is so America 2015. Leaders “take full responsibility” for failure, but rarely seem to pay a price for it. As we tell our children, “‘Sorry’ is not a magic word.” That is, it’s great to say “I’m sorry” when you’ve done wrong, but saying the word does not erase the consequences of the deed. You have to show by your actions that you mean it.

The editors who handled that UVA story will remain in place. Unbelievably, even the writer who wrote the catastrophic lies will not suffer any professional penalty at the magazine.

Police Say that Kidnapping of 29 Year Old Denise Huskins in Vallejo, CA Appears to be Hoax … Charges Possible Against Huskins and Quinn

THE REPORTED KIDNAPPING OF DENISE HUSKINS WAS A HOAX …

29 year old Denise Huskins was reported kidnapped on Monday, March 23, 2015. Her boy friend Aaron Quinn made the report to police many hours after the so-called crime, which would raise red flags. Between the delay in the reporting and the accounts of the kidnapping, it did seem a bit sketchy when first presented. As it turns out, the kidnapping was a HOAX.  The Vallejo police have stated that the investigation into the reported kidnapping of a woman found Wednesday in Huntington Beach was a “wild goose chase”. Lt. Kenny Park, of the Vallejo Police Department. stated, if Huskins or her boyfriend committed any criminal act in the false story, they will seek federal charges against them.

Kidnapping Of Denise Huskins Ruled A Hoax, Criminal Charges Are Possible

A reported kidnapping for ransom that set off a frantic search for a Vallejo woman who surfaced Wednesday morning in Southern California appears to have been faked, and criminal charges against the “victim” and her boyfriend are possible, police said late Wednesday.

Now, Vallejo detectives say they are looking for 29-year-old Denise Huskins, who has hired an attorney and is hiding in an unknown location and refusing to meet with Vallejo police, according to Lt. Kenny Park. Huskins and her boyfriend, Aaron Quinn, demanded $8,500 in a ransom communication, police said Wednesday night. Huskins’ father had not communicated with police since Wednesday morning, Park said.

“Mr. Quinn and Ms. Huskins have plundered valuable resources away from our community,” Park said at a news conference. “If anything, it is Mr. Quinn and Ms. Huskins who owe our community an apology.”

Quinn was not in custody Wednesday evening, Park said. It was not clear if police knew his location.

Police say Woman’s kidnapping was a hoax.

Vallejo police reported Wednesday night that this “appears to be an orchestrated event and not a kidnapping.” They issued a statement saying, “Today, there is no evidence to support the claims that this was a stranger abduction or an abduction at all.”

Huskins, 29, was unharmed and spoke with Huntington Beach Police before moving to an undisclosed location in Southern California. Tuesday, Huskins’ boyfriend reported that she was kidnapped from his home in Vallejo, and an email and audiotape purporting to be from her kidnappers was sent to the San Francisco Chronicle.

The disappearance had many unanswered questions: How did she make it from Vallejo to Orange County? Why did her boyfriend wait 12 hours before calling police to report her missing? How and why did the kidnappers set her free?

Huntington Beach police would not provide any of those answers, as their investigation continued. Public Information Officer Jennifer Marlatt confirmed Huskins was safe and that she was making arrangements to talk with Vallejo police.

As the day went on, however, Vallejo police said that those arrangements broke off and that they lost track of Huskins and that she’s now got a lawyer.

Vallejo police said at a Wednesday news conference the FBI is involved.

Charlottesville Police Chief Timothy J. Longo Says They Found No Evidence in UVA Sexual Assault Case Reported in Rolling Stone

CHIEF OF POLICE SAYS NO EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT SEXUAL ASSAULT AS REPORTED IN ROLLING STONE …

Police Chief Timothy J. Longo said in a press conference Monday afternoon that they have found no evidence to support claims in a Rolling Stone article that a University of Virginia student (Jackie) was gang raped at  Phi Kappa Psi fraternity house or any other fraternity house,  in September 2012,  after months of investigation. It is a sad state of journalistic integrity and malpractice that Rolling Stone tried to passed this story off as the truth and a sexual assault of a student turned out to be nothing more than a work of fiction.

“We’re not able to conclude to any substantive degree that an incident occurred at the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity house or any other fraternity house, for that matter,” Longo said at a news conference. “That doesn’t mean something terrible didn’t happen to Jackie … we’re just not able to gather sufficient facts to determine what that is.”

Police here say they have found no evidence to support claims in a Rolling Stone article that a University of Virginia student was gang raped at a campus fraternity in September 2012, noting that months of investigation led detectives to discredit several claims about the alleged assault.

Police Chief Timothy J. Longo on Monday afternoon said the police department had multiple meetings with “Jackie” — the woman who claimed she was gang raped at a fraternity party — and that she declined to speak about the alleged incident or provide any information about it. Numerous lines of inquiry yielded evidence that the fraternity did not have a party the night of the alleged attack, and police were unable to find anyone matching the description of the alleged attacker.

WHY THE DOUBLE STANDARD … Hillary Clinton Lied Too About Taking Sniper Fire … Do We Hold News Anchors to a Higher Standard Than a Presidential Wannabe?

HOW GREAT IS THE BELOW VIDEO … NBC’S LYIN’ BRIAN WILLIAMS COVERING A NEWS STORY ABOUT LIAR HILLARY CLINTON AND HER BOSNIA “SNIPER FIRE” LIE …

Can you say double standard? How is it that we hold a news anchor to a higher standard than that of a presidential wannabe? The below VIDEO is a classic and should have already been made into a 2016 political ad to run against Hillary Clinton. Remember when Hillary Clinton lied about being caught in “sniper fire in 1995″ during her 2008 presidential campaign when she got off  a plane in Bosnia? But it gets even worse for Hillary Clinton, her own bubby, Bubba Clinton blamed her Bosnia mistake on age and fatigue. OUCH! Bill Clinton said back in 2008, “some of them [women] will forget something when their tired at 11 o’ clock at night.” I wonder how former President Bill Clinton feels about that same comment in 2015, seven years later?

Even though coverage of the Clinton fib was dying down, Clinton spoke in defense of his wife, bringing back up the subject multiple times on the campaign trail. He said that his wife’s age might have played a part in the error while as she fought Barack Obama, a much younger and more energetic opponent in.

We are still waiting for the MSM to call Hillary Clinton out and go after her lie in the same manner that they did with Brian Williams. And we are still waiting. I know, I know … “WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE.”

Sharyl Attkisson: Why Did Hillary Survive a Brian Williams-like Tale?

Emmy Award-winning journalist Sharyl Attkisson, who covered the story of Hillary Clinton’s lie about being shot at in Bosnia, says she can’t understand how the former secretary of state weathered the scandal while NBC News anchor Brian Williams may not.

“To me, part of the irony is if Brian Williams isn’t able to survive it — that we think it’s important enough when somebody gives this kind of story that he would lose his career — yet we didn’t care enough to have it matter that much with someone who became our secretary of state,” Attkisson said Monday on “The Steve Malzberg Show” on Newsmax TV.

“[A person] we relied on for honest answers and truths in the aftermath of Benghazi and so on.”

Sorry Hillary, no one, no one would ever misremember being shot at by a sniper …

Video shows tarmac welcome, no snipers. … Poilitifact rules Hillary Clinton’s pantsuit on fire.

How is it that we would hold NBC new anchor Brian Williams to a higher standard? Seriously, does one who aspires to the the President of the United States get a free pass because she is Hillary Clinton even though she has pretty much claimed the same lie as Brian Williams? Where is the MSM clamoring for her head?

During an introduction to a foreign policy speech on Iraq on March 17, 2008, Sen. Hillary Clinton reminisced about her days as first lady and a trip to Tuzla, Bosnia, she made in March 1996.

“I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base.”

But that’s not what happened, as demonstrated by CBS News video that shows Clinton arriving on the tarmac under no visible duress, and greeting a child who offers her a copy of a poem. The Washington Post Factchecker also turned a skeptical eye on Clinton’s comments, reporting that a review of more than 100 news stories from the time documented no security threats to the First Lady.

CBS reporter Sharyl Attkisson, who covered Clinton on the Bosnia visit, wrote of her memories of the trip : “To be sure, it was not the ‘safest’ trip for a first lady to take: there were serious risks in traveling to Bosnia, even for the president’s wife under the vigilant protection of the U.S. military. It took some guts for her to go. But I don’t recall, and did not note, any close calls on this trip with sniper fire or any other dangers. “

Immediately after the speech that day, a reporter asked Clinton about remarks from others on the trip who suggested the trip was for photo opportunities rather than foreign policy and she stood by her account of sniper fire. “There was no greeting ceremony, and we basically were told to run to our cars. Now, that is what happened,” she said.

But she retracted the remarks a week later, telling the Philadelphia Daily News editorial board on March 24, 2008, that she “misspoke,” correcting herself to say she had been told there was a threat of sniper fire in the area. The next day she told reporters, “So I made a mistake. That happens. It shows I’m human, which for some people is a revelation.”
