Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch Wins Historic Recall Election … “This Is What Democracy Looks Like”

Hey Barack, Tweet on this … Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch took to the stage following her recall election victory and stated, “THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE”. Rebecca Kleefisch was the first Lt. Governor ever to have to face a recall election and Kleefisch also made history and became the first Lt. Governor ever to survive and win a recall election.

Democrats, organized labor, public employee unions and the far Left really overplayed their hand in Wisconsin and got burned. Many thought that the recall election was totally uncalled for and unwarranted.

NOW THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE!!!

Hat Tip: The Gateway Pundit

“Now this is what democracy looks like,” a jubilant Kleefisch told supporters at a victory rally. “Friends, years from now they will say the campaign to save America began tonight in Wisconsin.”

With 90% of votes counted, Kleefisch (R) 54% -  Mitchell (D) 46%.

RNC Chair Priebus Predicts Democratic ‘circular firing squad’ After Scott Walker Recall Election Victory … Barack Obama “Left Democrats at the Altar in Wisconsin When They Needed him Most”

HUGE WIN FOR WALKER, REPUBLICANS AND WISCONSIN … DEVASTATING LOSS FOR OBAMA AND LABOR UNIONS …

Republican National Committee Chair Reince Priebus said during an interview tonight with CNN what many Democrats and staunch union leaders must have been thinking following Gov. Scott Walker recall election victory. Reince Priebus predicted a Democratic ‘circular firing squad’ following the Left’s failure to recall Gov. Walker, a crushing blow to unions and Obama. Speaking of Barack Obama, Priebus said that Barack Obama “left Democrats at the altar in Wisconsin when they needed him most”

Regarding exit polling, I find it a little difficult to believe that Wisconsin would vote back in Scott Walker and then vote for Obama in November 2012. Wisconsin is a microcosm of what is taking place nationally.  I am not buying the exit polling that claims that Obama has a double digit lead in WI over Romney. The same exit polling said that this would be a close race and that as CNN reported, the vote was tied. Obviously Democrats were over-polled and the GOP voters were under-polled.

The dynamic that Obama did not come to Tom Barrett’s aid, nor any of the other Democrats in Wisconsin, including union labor will resonate the election cycle. There is no way that Obama can avoid Wisconsin during the recall election and then come back and ask for campaign donations and their vote. But Wisconsin Democrats just learned a painful lesson regarding Obama. Obama is all about Obama.

Wisconsin just became a battleground state in the 2012 Presidential election. If Democrats and unions act like poor losers in the second election of Scott Walker, it will surely play poorly with Independents and reasonable Democrats. Scott Walker has stated he wants to move Wisconsin forward. That will play well for Romney in 2012, a successful GOP governor who has made Wisconsin better. So who would they vote for in November, Obama and his failed policies or Romney, who will help get America going the same way as Scott Walker did? Sorry, Obama is in trouble in Wisconsin in 2012.

Rahm Emanuel Gets Thrown off the Chicago Mayoral Ballot … Says, “He Will Prevail”

After having his name taken off the Chicago Mayoral ballot, Rahm Emanuel says he will prevail. Of course he will, its the Chicago way.

Rahm Emanuel was thrown off the ballot for mayor of Chicago Monday by an appellate court panel. Wow, who would have thought an Illinois court would have done such a thing? The court decision can be read HERE.  The Court concluded, by a 2 to 1 vote, that the  Emanuel neither meets the municipal code’s requirement that he have ‘resided’ in Chicago for the year preceding the election, nor falls within any exception to the requirement.

Rahm Emanuel was thrown off the ballot for mayor of Chicago Monday by an appellate court panel. But Emanuel — who has led the other candidates in fund-raising and in public opinion polls — cautioned he won’t get off the ballot without a fight.

“I have no doubt, at the end we will prevail at this effort,” Emanuel told reporters at the Berghoff Restaurant.

The Chicago Board of Elections planned to start printing ballots without Emanuel’s name unless Emanuel’s lawyers can get a “stay” of the appellate court ruling. Emanuel’s lawyers filed their request for a stay just before 5 p.m. Monday.

“We … order that the candidate’s name be excluded (or if, necessary, be removed) from the ballot,” Judge Thomas Hoffman wrote in the opinion upholding the requirement under the state’s municipal code that candidates for mayor in Illinois must have “resided in” the town where they are running for a year before Election Day — in this case Feb. 22. Hoffman was joined by Justice Shelvin Marie Louise Hall.

Out of Touch President Obama Tells Volunteers That In Midterms “You Guys Turned ‘Yes We Can’ Into ‘Yes We Did’

Obama tells volunteers, “YES WE DID”, in the aftermath of the midterm elections. WHAT?

Did some one not tell President Obama that the Democrats got their collective butts handed to them in the 2010 midterm elections? So what is Obama referring to that they did, get shellacked? I guess Obama missed the Democrat Senate meeting memo where they blamed him for the Democrat losses.

Election loss, what election loss … I won!!!

Members of Organizing for America – the president’s former campaign committee – received a text message today asking them to call 888-206-1431 “to hear a special message from President Obama.”

In the recorded message, the president says, “Thank you for the tireless work, you guys organized the single largest midterm election effort in this history of our party…You turned ‘Yes We Can’ into ‘Yes We Did.’”

“You didn’t sit this one out even when all the pundits said it was hopeless and because of that we are stronger,” the president said.

And the LEFT called GWB punchy and stupid. The 2010 midterm election shellacking consisted of a GOP net pick up of six US Senate seats, in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Indiana, Illinois and North Dakota. It saw a GOP pick up of Governors in Wyoming, Wisconsin, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Michigan, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Ohio. There were GOP US House of Representatives at 62+ and counting and 680 state legislature seats.

Obama’s congratulatory message after such a drubbing is like General George Custard providing a positive tweet to the troops after the Battle of the Little Big Horn or Jimmy Carter giving a celebrating shout out to his peeps for a job well done following the Presidential Reagan landslide victory in 1980.

Obama acts like the 2010 midterm election never happened. Wait until the new Congress is seated in 2011 and the elections of 2012 … That just might grab his attention.

Republicans Picked Up 680 Seats in State Legislatures in 2010 Elections … Redistricting Could Echo a Decade

Talk about the wrong kind of political coattails … Obama, Reid and Pelosi cost even Democrat state legislature individual their races. The real story of the 2010 elections the 680 seats picked up in state legislatures by the Republicans in 2010.

Barack Obama and the Democrats picked a bad time to go against the will of the people and get crushed in the 2010 midterm elections. If the 61+ US House Reps and 6 US Senate pick ups by the GOP was not bad enough, the most damaging tsunami for Democrats just might have been the Governor races and state legislatures. So far the GOP picked up 7 governorships with Connecticut and Minnesota still yet to be called.

The least covered and what might be the most important story of the 2010 midterm elections was the 680 State Legislature seats picked up by the Republicans. Does every one just remember the US Census that was just conducted? What follows the Census is redistricting. With all the state governors that are now Republican and both chambers of the state legislatures, the GOP holds the political trifecta or the“Perfect political storm” in 15 states. Just how bad was this Democrat slaughter in the state legislatures, as Weasil Zippers states, “to put it in perspective, 1994’s GOP wave picked up 472 seats…”.

Republicans picked up 680 seats in state legislatures, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures — the most in the modern era. To put that number in perspective: In the 1994 GOP wave, Republicans picked up 472 seats. The previous record was in the post-Watergate election of 1974, when Democrats picked up 628 seats.
