The Obama Administration & Democrats Playing Politics with Obamacare Again … Cuts to Medicare Advantage A No Go During an Election Year

Democrats once again playing politics with healthcare … Just changing the law as they see fit to benefit themselves.

Barack Obama previously said that Obamacare was a done deal and here to stay. However, one could say that it is Obama and Democrats that have done more to show that Obamacare is “unsettled” science and a disaster. Team Obama has done everything imaginable to delay the pain to Americans until after the 2014 midterm and even the 2016 elections so not to adversely affect Democrats. Add cuts to Medicare Advantage to the long list of delays as well. As reported at The Hill, the Obama administration announced Monday that planned cuts to Medicare Advantage would not go through as anticipated amid election-year opposition from congressional Democrats. It’s a bit premature Barack to call Obamacare a done deal when you have delayed most of it so the American people don’t feel the affects until it is too late.

The cuts would have reduced benefits that seniors receive from health plans in the program, which is intended as an alternative to Medicare.

Under cuts planned by the administration, insurers offering the plans were to see their federal payments reduced by 1.9 percent, which likely would have necessitated cuts for customers.

Instead, the administration said the federal payments to insurers will increase next year by .40 percent.

The healthcare law included $200 billion in cuts to Medicare Advantage over 10 years, in part to pay for ObamaCare.

The Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) on Monday said changes in the healthcare market meant it did not need to make those cuts to Medicare Advantage this year.

New York Democrat Sen. Chuck Schumer, who signed a February 14 letter called on the Obama administration to essentially hold Medicare Advantage rates steady, said in a statement Monday that he was glad the Obama administration heeded their call. Code for, SOS for Democrats in the upcoming midterm elections.

“In many parts of the country, including New York, Medicare Advantage works very well,” Schumer said.

Just curious, Democrats certainly had no problem voting for these cuts in lock-step with Barack Obama in passing Obamacare along a 100% partisan vote and ramming this down the throats of Americans. So, why suddenly the change? It could not possibly be because the cuts in the popular program, Medicare Advantage, would hurt Democrats at the voting booths, could it? No, of course not.

Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush says he will make a decision on a 2016 presidential run by the end of the year. Oh boy, I can’t wait. Let me just say that if the GOP wants to lose another election with a candidate along the lines of John McCain and Mitt Romney, then by all means have the elitist, establishment Republican party get behind Jeb. Let alone, we do not need another Bush as president. Just like we do not need another Clinton. It would appear that Instapundit and I agree! I think out of the 300 million people in the United States we can elect a president whose last name does not begin with Bush or Clinton.

Why do we not need a RINO like Jeb Bush as a GOP candidate? We need to look no further than his statement on Sunday that illegal immigrants who come to the United States as an “act out of love” for their families deserve to be treated differently than others who illegally cross U.S. borders or overstay visas. This is obviously code for, they deserve amnesty. I wonder if Jeb feels the same if an individual robs a bank, store or someone’s home out of love for their family or sells drugs is also the same?

A note to Jeb Bush … ILLEGAL IS ILLEGAL!!! This is exactly the reason why so many have lost faith in establishment, limousine Republicans.

Former Florida governor Jeb Bush said Sunday that many who illegally come to the United States do so out of an “act of love” for their families and should be treated differently than people who illegally cross U.S. borders or overstay visas.

Asked about immigration, Bush started by saying that a bipartisan bill passed by the Senate last year made “a good effort” at proposing ways to ensure that people overstaying visas leave the country.

“A great country ought to know where those folks are and politely ask them to leave,” he said, adding later that properly targeting people who overstay visas “would restore people’s confidence” in the nation’s immigration system.

“There are means by which we can control our border better than we have. And there should be penalties for breaking the law,” he added. “But the way I look at this — and I’m going to say this, and it’ll be on tape and so be it. The way I look at this is someone who comes to our country because they couldn’t come legally, they come to our country because their families — the dad who loved their children — was worried that their children didn’t have food on the table. And they wanted to make sure their family was intact, and they crossed the border because they had no other means to work to be able to provide for their family. Yes, they broke the law, but it’s not a felony. It’s an act of love. It’s an act of commitment to your family. I honestly think that that is a different kind of crime that there should be a price paid, but it shouldn’t rile people up that people are actually coming to this country to provide for their families.”

So Jeb, why have any immigration policy if you think that the United States is just one big welfare state meant to help others in other countries, rather than its own citizens? Jeb Bush does realize that an immigration policy is meant to protect the survival of a country by allowing individuals with talent and skills to strengthen a country, not to let anyone one in who is going to be nothing more than a burden on society.

WOW, Radio Hosts Opie and Anthony Let Loose on Obamacare After They Both Lose Their Health Care Plans, “Because They Can’t F*cking Grasp that Obama Lied to the American People When He Said You Can Keep Your Insurance.”

Radio Hosts Opie and Anthony let loose on Obamacare and what Democrats and Barack Obama did to the American people. Actually they said publicly, what many people wish they could say and be heard and what people say to their self every day regarding this train-wreck called Obamacare. This is a must listen to rant by Opie and Anthony, but just be careful there is a lot of adult language. This is classic Opie and Anthony and the amazing part about this rant from the two shock jocks is that they are 100% correct.

“I don’t know why we’re not having a revolution at this point,” Hughes said.

“We should!” Anthony Cumia, the show’s co-host, replied.

Cumia also sarcastically called Hughes out for pushing lies being created by the Republican Party.

“You’re lying though, because this didn’t happen to anybody,” he joked.

The notion caused Hughes to launch into a fiery tirade on how “millions” of people are being called liars for pointing out that Obamacare has forced them to lose their health insurance. So why would they all be lying?

“Because they can’t f***ing grasp that Obama lied to the American people when he said you can keep your insurance,” Cumia answered.

Cumia also blasted people who are always shouting for the wealthy to pay their “fair share,” saying they have “no f***ing clue” how much people in higher income brackets are actually paying.

“Let me come over and take over half of your money and see how you feel about it,” he added.

The hosts of popular Sirius/XM radio show ‘The Opie and Anthony Show’ exploded in frustration Thursday morning over the cancellation of their health plans under Obamacare.

“I was fighting an imaginary person in my apartment,” exclaimed co-host Greg “Opie” Hughes when describing his frustration with filling out the voluminous paperwork that accompanied the cancellation of his previous health plan.

“Finally, after all these years, I had perfect health insurance and now I have to re-do the whole thing, it’s ridiculous!” Hughes exclaimed.

Sadly, yesterday we were witness to another shooting at Fort Hood where three people were killed and 16 individuals injured before the gunman killed himself. The shooter was identified as 34 year old Fort Hood Army specialist Ivan Lopez. According to Lt. Gen. Mark A. Milley, the shooter served in Iraq in 2011 and was being treated for “behavioral health and mental health” issues. Lopez  had been undergoing an assessment to determine whether he had post-traumatic stress disorder.

Have we learned nothing from the 2009 Fort Hood shooting where  Army psychiatrist, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan killed 12 soldiers?

There was a shooting on Fort Hood on Wednesday afternoon.

Three people are dead along with the shooter, and 16 others were injured. All were active duty military.

Thirty-four-year-old Fort Hood soldier Ivan Lopez was identified as the shooter. General Milley said that the shooter was being treated for mental issues, but not yet diagnosed with PTSD. The shooter is married with family in the local area, and he just arrived at Fort Hood in February.

Lopez is said to have been the only gunman.

Gen Milley believes the shooting started when he opened fire in a building. He then left the building, got into his vehicle, and fired. He then got out of his vehicle again and went into another building.  After entering the second building, he became face-to-face with an officer and that is when he shot himself.

The suspect, a soldier who had served in Iraq, “had behavioral health and mental health” issues, Milley told reporters late Wednesday.

The general said there was no known motive for the shooting.

“There is no indication that this incident is related to terrorism, although we are not ruling anything out,” he said.

The suspected shooter was wearing combat fatigues, said a U.S. official briefed on the shooting. He was armed with a .45-caliber Smith & Wesson handgun that he purchased recently, said Milley.

Barack Obama White House spokesperson Jay Carney took to the microphone yesterday to brag about the notion that over 7.1 million people have enrolled in Obamacare.  After all this time of the White House and HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius refusing to provide any numbers for enrollment in Obamacare, suddenly they come up with precise number like 7.041 million. HMM, REALLY? A contentious and defiant Carney delivered a prepared statement to the press full of snark, lies and exaggerations on the “mission accomplished” of Obamacare.

“Despite several lost weeks out of the gate because of problems with the website, 7.1 million Americans have now signed up for private insurance through these marketplaces,” the president said.

The 7.1 million figure was more than the 7.041 million announced by press secretary Jay Carney just hours earlier.

The administration is allowing consumers who were unable to complete their applications to continue the process beyond Monday. Moreover, the federal government is still collecting data from states who run their own states.

Obama heralded the achievement as “a big step forward.”

Next thing you know, Carney, Obama, Sebelius, Pelosi et al will be telling you that you can keep your healthcare insurance if you like it, that you can keep your doctor if you like it, you can keep the hospital you go to if you like it, the IRS is not targeting the Tea Party, the NSA is not listening to your phone calls or reading your emails without a warrant, Benghazi was just about a tape and Eric Holder was not operating a gun-running operation in Mexico. WAKE THE HELL UP FOLKS AND STOP BEING SHEEPLE!!!

Sorry for my skepticism, but I deal in numbers. I would love to get my hands on this data and do some real analysis like, how many enrollment accounts are duplicates? Individuals have to create numerous accounts in the beginning because of the disastrous non-functioning Heathcare.fail site. How many individuals have actually paid their premiums? How many individuals enrolled in Obamacare lost the insurance that they liked because of Obamacare and are now paying higher premiums and have larger deductibles? Sorry, but you certainly cannot count it as a net gain if your program caused some one to lose something and then you compelled them to buy your product. Well, maybe an imperialist president would.

The Lonely Conservative has more of the “intended ” consequences of Obamacare as the CBO is stating that Obamacare will cause workers to work few hours, to the equivalent of 2 million jobs. Yeah, let’s see if Democrats run on Obamacare in this years midterm elections.
