Small Business Optimism Up Again and At 35-Year High … Just Shy of the July 1983 Record-High of 108

MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!

As reported at FOX Business, Small business owners’ optimism hit a 35 year high in July at 107.9, just shy of the July 1983 record-high of 108. Small businesses  also set records in terms of job creation and hiring. President Donald Trump is doing an incredible job of creating an environment conducive to business, the economy and unemployment. Small businesses are the backbone of the American economy and this type of optimism has not been seen since the days of Ronald Reagan. AMAZING!!!

Small business owners’ optimism touched a 35-year high in July, with businesses setting records in terms of job creation and hiring, while they cited the availability of qualified workers as their biggest challenge. In another signal of just how good this economy is, the small business owners also noted that they were able to increase prices.

In July 2018, the NFIB’s Small Business Optimism Index marked its second highest level in the survey’s 45-year history, at 107.9 – just shy of the July 1983 record-high of 108.

Records were set for job creation plans. A seasonally-adjusted net 23 percent of businesses are planning to create new jobs, while 37 percent of business owners said they had job openings that they could not fill in July.

“Small business owners are leading this economy and expressing optimism rivaling the highest levels in history,” said NFIB President and CEO Juanita Duggan. “Expansion continues to be a priority for small businesses who show no signs of slowing as they anticipate more sales and better business conditions.”

July 2018 Unemployment Rate Falls to 3.9% … 37,000 Manufacturing Jobs Created … Record Low Hispanic Unemployment at 4.5%

UNEMPLOYMENT RATE FALLS TO 3.9% …

From CNBC, although the total nonfarm payrolls increased by 157,000 for the month, below the 190,000 expected … the unemployment rate fell to 3.9%. However, there are some gems in this jobs report.  Manufacturing increased by 37,000 jobs bringing the 12-month total gain to 327,000. Remember when we were told that we would never see these types of jobs again, unless Trump had a magic wand.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday, unemployment for Hispanic workers again hit a new record low in July of 4.5%.

Donald Trump thumbs up

Payroll growth turned sluggish in July after two robust months, though the unemployment rate edged lower and the overall jobs picture continued to look solid, according to Labor Department numbers released Friday.

Total nonfarm payrolls increased by 157,000 for the month, below the 190,000 expected in a survey of Reuters economists and the lowest gain since March. The unemployment rate fell one-tenth of a percentage point to 3.9 percent, as expected, and is around its lowest level in nearly 50 years.

In the key wages category, average hourly earnings also met expectations, increasing 2.7 percent over the same period a year ago. The Federal Reserve is closely watching the wages component as it seeks to meet its 2 percent inflation target.

Though the July reading missed estimates, previous months’ report were revised substantially higher. The May reading jumped from 244,000 to 268,000 while June’s number increased from 213,000 originally reported up to 248,000, for a total net upward revision of 59,000 for the two months.

Average gains for the three-month period were a strong 224,000.

37,000 more manufacturing jobs created with Trump’s magic wand

BOOM!!! 223,000 Jobs Added in May, Unemployment Rate Down to 3.8% … Black Unemployment Rate Hits New Record Low at 5.9%!

DONALD TRUMP … MAKING THE ECONOMY GREAT AGAIN!!!

The May jobs numbers are in and they were HUGE! As reported at CNBC, total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 223,000 in May, compared to an expected 188K. Also, the underemployment rate is down to 3.8%. Even CNN is reporting that unemployment rate matches lowest point in half a century. Job gains came from retail (31,000), health care (29,000), construction (25,000), professional and technical services (23,000) and transportation and warehousing, which added 19,000. Manufacturing also contributed 18,000 and mining grew by 6,000. Wait, 18,000 jobs from manufacturing? I thought Obama said manufacturing jobs would never come back? This represents another strong jobs report for the Trump administration.

The U.S. economy continued to add jobs at a solid clip in May, with nonfarm payrolls up 223,000 while the unemployment rate was 3.8 percent, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday.

Economists had been expecting payroll growth of 188,000 and the jobless rate to hold steady at 3.9 percent.

The unemployment rate was last this low in April 2000. A separate level of unemployment that adds in discouraged workers and those holding part-time positions for economic reasons fell to 7.6 percent, the lowest since May 2001.

The closely watched average hourly earnings metric rose 0.3 percent, as expected. That translates to an annualized rate of 2.7 percent, up one-tenth of a point from April.

In addition to the better-than-expected payrolls for May, March’s count was revised up from 135,000 to 155,000 while April ended lower from 164,000 to 159,000, for a net gain of 15,000.

Job gains came from retail (31,000), health care (29,000), construction (25,000), professional and technical services (23,000) and transportation and warehousing, which added 19,000. Manufacturing also contributed 18,000 and mining grew by 6,000.

US economy adds 223K jobs in May

Black unemployment rate hits new record low in May

The unemployment rate for black workers hit new record lows in May, the Labor Department’s Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday.

Black unemployment fell sharply to 5.9 percent, beating out the 6.6 percent record low that was set a month earlier.

The unemployment rate for Hispanic workers hit a record low in April, at 4.8 percent, but it rose slightly to 4.9 percent in May.

US Economy: Unemployment Rate Falls to 3.9% … Black & Hispanic Unemployment Hit Record Lows!!!

UNEMPLOYMENT RATE FALLS TO 3.9%, BLACK UNEMPLOYMENT TO RECORD LOW OF 6.6%

Yes, President Donald Trump is making America great again and in some cases making it greater than ever before. The Unemployment rate for April 2018 has fallen to 3.9%. This is a 17 and a half year low for the U.S. unemployment rate. The news was even better for minorities as the unemployment rate for black workers dropped to a record low 6.6%, beating the previous record low of 6.8% set in December. The jobless rate for Hispanics fell to 4.8%, tying the record reached last year and in 2006. This is tremendous news for America and troublesome for Democrats, the LEFT and the liberal MSM. Even as under the Trump administration minorities are making considerable gains in the work force, the miserable LEFT and MSM still manages to find the negative. Hmm, where were these people during the 8 yeas of Obama when blacks had double digit unemployment?

donald_trump_-_make_america_great_again

U.S. job growth increased less than expected in April and the unemployment rate dropped to near a 17-1/2-year low of 3.9 percent as some out-of-work Americans left the labor force.

The Labor Department’s closely watched employment report on Friday also showed wages barely rose last month, which may ease concerns that inflation pressures are rapidly building up, likely keeping the Federal Reserve on a gradual path of monetary policy tightening.“

Fed officials can rest easy that there is not any wage-based inflation on the horizon,” said Chris Rupkey, chief economist at MUFG in New York. “There is no need to speed up the path of interest rates because inflation isn’t heating up in a worrisome manner.”

Nonfarm payrolls increased by 164,000 jobs last month, the Labor Department reported. Data for March was revised to show the economy adding 135,000 jobs instead of the previously reported 103,000. That was the fewest amount of jobs created in six months and followed an outsized gain of 324,000 in February.

But 236,000 people left the labor force in April, adding to the 158,000 who quit in March. The labor force participation rate, or the proportion of working-age Americans who have a job or are looking for one, fell to 62.8 percent last month from 62.9 percent in March. It was the second straight monthly drop in the participation rate.

Where was the LEFT and MSM calling out Obama during his 8 years for the difference between black and white unemployment? Instead, the miserable LEFT and MSM continue to be all things negative to Trump and put Obama op on high. Really, the numbers show that there is less of a disparage between blacks and whites  under Trump. Both black and white unemployment has gone down about 0.6% since the November 2016 elections,; however, the difference is that these are historic lows for blacks.  The majority of time during Obama, blacks witnessed double digit unemployment as there were a record number of individuals on food stamps. The fact of the matter is that if Trump was president in 2008-2016, blacks would have seen the benefits they see now, just that much sooner.

Black Unemployment: 2008-2018

Black Unemployment 2008-2018

White Unemployment: 2008-2018

White Unemplyment 2008-2018

The LEFT and Democrats are freaking out that minorities are seeing record low unemployment and might just vote as the silent black and Hispanic voter with Trump and the GOP in 2018 and 2020.

Socialist Bernie Sanders Announces Federal Jobs Proposal for All with Healthcare and $15/hr Minimum

JUST LIKE A SOCIALIST … PROPOSES IGNORANT SOCIALIST JOBS PROGRAM WHEN 14 STATES HAVE RECORDED RECORD ALL-TIME LOW UNEMPLOYMENT RATES …

As reported at The Hill, socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders of The People’s Republic of Vermont has announced a federal jobs proposal that would guarantee a job with at least a $15-per-hour wage and health benefits to every adult American “who wants or needs one.” UNREAL, just how would we pay for this socialist program? NOW? Jobs under the  Trump administration are being created hand over fist. Capitalism seems to be working just fine.  Fourteen states have recorded record low unemployment in the past year which begs the question, why would individuals need the government for a job, except to be kept dependent? If Americans want to work, they just need apply. But what else would one expect from a socialist but making individuals dependent upon government.

Bernie Sanders2

The senator is still in the early stages of crafting the plan, according to the Post, which would provide a job or required training for any American.

Sanders’s office has yet to release the details of the plan’s funding, but previous large-scale projects proposed by the Vermont progressive have involved ending tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans and large corporations.

The Vermont senator joins two other possible 2020 contenders, Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) and Cory Booker (D-N.J.), who have also expressed support for similar proposals in recent weeks.

“The goal is to eliminate working poverty and involuntary unemployment altogether,” Darrick Hamilton, an economist at The New School, told the Post.

Maybe Bernie and his socialist friends might want to take a look at the failed Finland experiment … Finland’s basic income trial falls flat. This is what socialism looks like, failure.

The Finnish government has decided not to expand a limited trial in paying people a basic income, which has drawn much international interest.

Currently 2,000 unemployed Finns are receiving a flat monthly payment of €560 (£490; $685) as basic income.

“The eagerness of the government is evaporating. They rejected extra funding [for it],” said Olli Kangas, one of the experiment’s designers.

Some see basic income as a way to get unemployed people into temporary jobs.

The argument is that, if paid universally, basic income would provide a guaranteed safety net. That would help to address insecurities associated with the “gig” economy, where workers do not have staff contracts.

Supporters say basic income would boost mobility in the labour market as people would still have an income between jobs.

Finland’s two-year pilot scheme started in January 2017, making it the first European country to test an unconditional basic income. The 2,000 participants – all unemployed – were chosen randomly.

But it will not be extended after this year, as the government is now examining other schemes for reforming the Finnish social security system.
