THOU SHALL NOT KILL UNLESS YOU ARE ATTACKED BY A CRAZED MAN WITH A BRICK …
A Detroit pastor shot and killed a brick-weilding man with his Glock handgun during a Sunday church service. The incident allegedly happened about 15 minutes into the 1:30 p.m. service at the City of God ministries storefront church on Grand River near Lahser. According to the Detroit Free Press, the man with the brick never actually made it into the church, but went after the pastor in the vestibule. The pastor responded with gunfire, shooting the man multiple times, hitting the man in the chest. The man died a short while later at Botsford Hospital. The pastor was taken into police custody for questioning.
There is no separation of Church and Glock
Violence marred a church service Sunday when a man with a brick attacked the pastor, who whipped out his Glock handgun and fired several shots, killing the man, Detroit police said.
The incident allegedly happened about 15 minutes into the 1:30 p.m. service at the City of God ministries storefront church on Grand River near Lahser, Assistant Chief Steve Dolunt said.
“The pastor had had issues with the man before,” Dolunt said. “He had been threatening him to do bodily harm. He walked into the service and went after the pastor with a brick. The pastor pulled out his Glock and fired several shots. I think he hit him 4 or 5 times, and the man died.”
The pastor was taken into police custody for questioning, Dolunt said.
After the questioning wraps up, police will submit a warrant request to prosecutors, who will then decide whether the shooting was justified.
“We’re not sure at this point whether the man had mental problems or what,” Dolunt said. “It’s still under investigation.”
As we always say, don’t bring a brick to a gun fight.
75 Year Old Army Vet James Vernon Saves 16 Children From Knife Attack by 19 Year Old Dustin Brown at at Morton Public Library in Illinois
SCARED MONKEYS HERO OF THE WEEK … 75 YEAR OLD RETIRED VETERAN JAMES VERNON.
75 year old US military vet James Vernon saves that day as he fought off a crazed knife wielding lunatic, 19 year old Dustin Brown, and saved 16 children at a public library in Illinois. James Vernon was teaching a chess class with 16 children at Morton Public Library when authorities say 19-year-old Dustin Brown entered the room with two knives. That is when the 75 year old vet took action. Vernon suffered “two cut arteries and a tendon” while defending the kids and credited his knife-fighting skills he learned in the US Army for allowing him to delay Brown enough to get the kids to safety. According to a court affidavit, Dustin Brown told police afterward that he “failed in his mission to kill everyone.” Thanks to the efforts of hero James Vernon. Brown was ordered held on $800,000 bond pending a November 5 court appearance on charges of attempted murder, armed violence, aggravated battery to a person over age 60 and burglary for entering the library with intent to commit a crime. This POS is also due in court Monday, Oct 22 on child pornography charges filed against him in March.
Sixteen children and a handful of their mothers found the only door to their library room blocked by a man who held hunting knives in each hand as he screamed, “I’m going to kill some people!”
Dustin Brown, 19, specifically wanted to kill children Tuesday at Morton Public Library, he said after the would-be victims escaped safely.
Had he brought a firearm instead, “It would’ve been a different story,” James Vernon said Thursday.
Blood was shed, but mostly Vernon’s, because the retired chess club teacher kept his cool, gave his class an avenue of flight and remembered the knife-fight training the Army gave him five decades ago.
Vernon, 75, won his “90 seconds of combat” with Brown, “but I felt like I lost the war,” he chuckled. He cut two arteries and a tendon on Vernon’s left hand as Vernon blocked Brown’s knife swipe.
“I failed my mission to kill everyone,” Brown told police, according to a prosecutor’s court affidavit that accompanied formal charges Thursday that included attempted murder.
I BET UBER NEVER HAD THIS IN THEIR BUSINESS MODEL …
23 year old armed robbery suspect, Dashawn Terrell Cochran, appears to have used UBER as his getaway vehicle from the scene of the crime. After having held up a store in Parkville, Maryland, the suspect was seen getting into a the back of a silver Lexus. The Baltimore County Police Department say he pointed a gun at a store employee and demanded that he give him money. When the Baltimore police pulled the drive over, the driver said he was an Uber driver. Imagine that. Cochran was arrested and charged with armed robbery, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and theft less than $1,000. He is being held on $500,000 bail. The Uber driver and another passenger in the vehicle were released, having had nothing to do with the robbery.
I guess they really are everyone’s private driver … even armed robbers
A 23-year-old man suspected of armed robbery tried to take an Uber car to help him get away after he held up a store outside Baltimore, police said.
The suspect, Dashawn Terrell Cochran, was at a store in Parkville, Maryland, early Wednesday morning when he allegedly took a bottle of Tylenol cold medicine to the register, the Baltimore County Police Department said. Police said he then pointed a gun at an employee and demanded money.
Cochran ran from the store with an undisclosed amount of cash, but officers began to track his path, police said.
Cochran was seen getting into the back of a silver Lexus, and when officers pulled the car over, the driver said he was an Uber driver, police said.
Maybe it is the UBER passengers that need all the back ground checks and not just the UBER drivers.

Judge Jerri Collins Sentences Domestic Violence Victim to Jail for Contempt of Court in Seminole County, FL courtroom
JUDGE SENTENCES DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VITIM TO JAIL FOR CONTEMPT OF COURT …
Wow, nothing like re-victimizing the victim. I will be the first to say that I do not all of the details of this case; however, the judges actions just seem very, very wrong. Judge Jerri Collins not only sentenced a female victim to jail, the judge berated her as well. The judge said to the victim after she said at the time she was going through a difficult time and anxiety replied with the following, “You think you’re going to have anxiety now? You haven’t even seen anxiety.” REALLY, who really thinks that is appropriate? The contempt of court case took place back in July and the woman has already served her 3 days in jail. The judge acts like she has never dealt with a domestic violence victim and the mental and physical abuse they go through. The law may be the law, but there were other options the judge could have sentenced this victim of domestic violence.
There had to be a better way of handling this.
How ironic, now the judge who sentences a domestic violence female victim for not testifying in a case against a domestic violence suspect is not talking. Isn’t that rich. So the judge doesn’t feel the need to answer any questions, huh? Maybe it is because judges think they are above the law.
Channel 9’s Karla Ray has been trying to question a Seminole County judge for three days about a ruling that sent a domestic violence victim to jail, instead of ordering community service or a fine for skipping out on a subpoena.
Ray went to the judge’s office to try and get her side.
Judge Jerri Collins said she won’t talk about the matter in case her decision is called for an appeal. The victim has the option to appeal but since she’s already served her sentence for contempt of court, it won’t change what she’s gone through.
After she failed to show, she received no pity from the judge during the brief hearing.
“You need to tell the court why I should not hold you in contempt of court, I can sentence you to jail,” Judge Jerri Collins said.
Raw: Judge sends domestic violence victim to jail
“I just, things were…” the sobbing woman said.
“Why didn’t you show up to court?” Collins asked.
“I’m just, my anxiety, and I’m just…” the woman replied.
“You think you’re going to have anxiety now? You haven’t even seen anxiety,” Collins told the woman.
“I know,” the woman said.
“Those statements you told to the police on the day of this incident, is it true? The incident that happened on April 2, is it true?”
“Yes,” the woman said.
“Then why wouldn’t you come to testify?” Collins asked.
In April, the woman called for help after she said the father of her child choked her and grabbed a kitchen knife.
21 Year Old Leslie Allen Merritt Jr. Indicted on 15 Felony Counts, Including Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm and Others
21 year old Leslie Allen Merritt Jr. was indicted Friday by a grand jury on 15 felony counts, including aggravated assault, unlawful discharge of a firearm, disorderly conduct, endangerment and carrying out a drive-by shooting. However, prosecutors did not file terrorism charges against Merritt in the highway shootings. Authorities had called these shootings an act of domestic terrorism. Mettitt was arrested on September 18 at a Wal-Mart. Merritt remains in jail on a $1 million bond.
A grand jury on Friday indicted a man suspected in four of the freeway shootings that have rattled the Phoenix area since late last month.
The indictment of 21-year-old Leslie Allen Merritt Jr. replaces a 16-count criminal complaint announced earlier in the week.
Merritt, of suburban Glendale, was indicted on 15 felony counts, including aggravated assault, unlawful discharge of a firearm, disorderly conduct, endangerment and carrying out a drive-by shooting.
Prosecutors did not file terrorism charges that authorities originally sought against the landscaper and father of two who was arrested Sept. 18 at a Wal-Mart. Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery previously said Arizona’s terrorism laws enacted after 9/11 focus mostly on protecting public utilities from attack and would not apply to the freeway shootings.
Using ballistics tests, Arizona Department of Public Safety detectives tied Merritt to four of the 11 shootings that occurred on Phoenix-area freeways between Aug. 27 and Sept. 10.

EVER WONDER WHO MIGHT BE LIVING NEXT TO YOU?
A Florida woman, Nickole Dykema, was arrested Tuesday night after she tried to stab a police deputy with a machete. After Dykema tried to stab the officer, she ran back into her mobile home. A Florida woman was arrested Tuesday night after she tried to stab a deputy with a large sword or machete inside a mobile home filled with thousands of other bladed weapons, authorities said.

Once other deputies arrived, officers forced their way into the home and were met by Dykema who had a large sword or machete in her hand, according to the release. She tried to stab one of the deputies and missed his face by inches.

Arizona Police Investigating Oscar De La Torre Munoz in Freeway Shootings … Arrested Person of Interest on Unrelated Marijuana Possession Charge (VIDEO)
Possible break in the Arizona highway shootings …
19 year old Oscar De La Torre Munoz is being investigated by Arizona police as a person of interest in the numerous shootings that have occurred on the heavily-traveled Interstate 10 near Phoenix. Oscar De La Torre Munoz was arrested on a separate marijuana possession charge and booked into jail. At least 11 shootings have taken place in I-10 which the authorities are calling an act of domestic terrorism. According to Fox News, the man taken into custody in Phoenix Friday allegedly boasted to friends of his involvement in a rash of freeway shootings over the last 12 days.
Authorities in Arizona arrested a 19-year-old man considered a person of interest in a spate of shootings on the heavily-traveled Interstate 10 near Phoenix on an unrelated marijuana possession charge.
Oscar De La Torre Munoz was booked into the Maricopa County jail late Friday. Munoz, 19, of Avondale, was taken into custody along with his mother Friday morning at a gas station a few miles from I-10, officials with the state’s Department of Public Safety said.
His mother was questioned but later released.
Is Oscar De La Torre Munoz the Phoenix Highway shooter?
Earlier Friday, the man was taken into custody and questioned as police sought to find whoever is behind the shootings that have terrified Phoenix drivers, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said. The shootings on or near Interstate 10 occurred over nearly two weeks. Only one person has been injured.
The department said the man is not a suspect in the shootings but called him “a person of interest” in a statement Friday night.
“This person that we detained is for questioning, it’s not solely about this I-10 shooting situation. We’re interviewing and asking him about a number of things,” Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman Bart Graves told reporters Friday.
Two San Antonio, TX John Jay High School Football Players Suspended & Could Face Criminal Charges After Deliberately Hitting Ref From Behind (VIDEO)
REFS LIVES MATTER … TWO JOHN JAY HS FOOTBALL PLAYERS SUSPENDED FOLLOWING WHAT LOOKS LIKE AN INTENTIONAL ASSAULT, WILL THEY FACE CRIMINAL CHARGES.
Two John Jay High School football players have been suspended and could face criminal charges after what it appears to be an intentional targeting of a referee. The incident took place as San Antonio, Texas’ John Jay high school vs Marble Falls Friday night, September 4th 2015. John Jay lost to Marble Falls 15-9 and this is the type of sportsmanship that is taught at their school. Watch the VIDEO below and you can see the intentional targeting of the referee by one player and then the second football player coming in and purposely spearing the ref. Northside ISD athletic director Stan Laing said the video was “very disturbing” and the district is investigating the sequence of events leading up to the play, and the UIL is aware of what happened. Honestly, it does not matter one iota what lead up to this assault. An assault is an assault, stop making excuses. What, you going to blame the ref and say he had it coming?
The suspension of these two thugs should be the least of their problems. The deliberate hitting of this unsuspecting referee is nothing more than assault and should be treated as such. In a world we live in today where punks just have no respect for authority, these two thugs should be charged with felony, aggravated assault. This was a purposeful and intentional act meant to cause harm. They could have paralyzed this ref for life doing what they did. These two thugs should be suspended forever and never be allowed to play football again in any division or conference in Texas or any other state for that matter. Also, they need to be charged with assault. If some one is so heinous and vile an individual to do something like this in broad daylight with people watching and cameras rolling, imagine what they are capable of when no video is there to capture them?

Two San Antonio, Texas high school football players are under investigation after they smashed into a referee during a game, according to local media.
In a play during John Jay High School’s game on Friday, one of the team’s defensive players ran into a referee’s back, sending him to the ground, where another player dove on him, according to a video posted on the San Antonio Express News website.
The unidentified players were immediately ejected from the game, a 15-9 loss to Marble Falls High School, according to the San Antonio newspaper.
Two other John Jay High School players were ejected from the game shortly before the incident, the newspaper reported.
ESPN - Texas high school players suspended, may face charges for hitting referee from behind.
Both players were immediately ejected from the game and later suspended from the team and from school, pending an investigation by the Northside Independent School District. The referee was “very upset” and “wanting to press charges,” Austin Football Officials Association secretary Wayne Elliott said.
“The first thing we want is that those two kids never play football again,” said Elliott, who declined to release the referee’s name and added he was seeking guidance from the state officials association.
Northside Independent School District athletic director Stan Laing told KENS5-TV that the incident Friday was “disturbing” and “inexcusable.”
District spokesman Pascual Gonzalez told The Associated Press on Sunday that it would hear from game officials, coaches and students during an upcoming due process hearing, which also will involve the University Interscholastic League, the state’s school sports governing body.
“It is not the good sportsmanlike behavior that we teach students,” Gonzalez said.
Former NFL Star & Soon to be Hall of Famer Charles Haley Tells SF 49ers Rookies … “Why Don’t You all Act Like the White Guys? You Never See Them in the Paper Getting High or Hitting People”
I GUESS THIS MEANS THAT HALEY WILL BE BANNED FROM THE NFL FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME NOW …
WOW, former Defensive end for the San Fransisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys had some interesting comments and advice for the 2015 class of 49er rookies at a mentoring program. Haley, the soon to be DE who is to be enshrined in the NFL Football Hall of Fame later this summer in Canton, OH told the new crop of rookies, “Why don’t you all act like the white guys? You never see them in the paper getting high or hitting people.” Oh I bet you could have heard a pin drop on that one. Haley said he did it for the shock value to get their attention. I bet he did just that. Of course all the Van Gogh listeners and readers probably only saw or heard that blacks needed to act more like whites. Charles Haley, what a racist!!! Oh, he’s black … then what an uncle Tom.
But you know what, Charles Haley has all the street cred in the world … he is a five-time Super Bowl champion, two with the 49ers and 3 with the Cowboys. If anyone bothered to actually listen to what Haley was trying to tell these newbies to the NFL, he was saying that young players need to have role models, much like he did growing up. Charles Haley was probably one of my favorite Cowboys in the 90′s as his no nonsense approach to the game was amazing. Personally, I would have rather have had him on my D-line than others like Bruce Smith and Reggie White, who garnered more praise. Thus what explains the 5 rings, count ‘em.
Said Haley: “As far as the rookies, and I know they probably got mad, but I said, ‘Why don’t you all act like the white guys? You never see them in the paper getting high or hitting people. Why don’t you act like that?’ They all looked at me crazy.”
It should be noted that fullback Bruce Miller, who is white, had been charged days earlier by Santa Clara County prosecutors with misdemeanor vandalism for throwing his then-fiancee’s phone in an argument; Miller later resolved the case by pleading no contest to disturbing the peace.
“I just did it for the shock value of it,” Haley said of his May speech. “… The hardest thing is these guys, they have an attention span of a 5-year-old. I’m not the most gentle and kind person to sit there and deal with that crap. I’m a little more confrontational. I think I got my point across.”
This year, Jerome Bettis, Tim Brown, Charles Haley, Bill Polian, Junior Seau, Will Shields, Mick Tingelhoff and Ron Wolf will be enshrined in the Hall of Fame. The family of Junior Seau was recetly told that they will not be able to speak live in Canton because Seau is being honored posthumously. However, after Haley’s comments and the BS nature of the NFL and political correctness these days, what them take away Charles speaking privileges as well. The NFL commissioner Roger Goodell can’t fine Haley or ban him from any games, maybe instead he will disconnect his microphone on induction day.
