Teachers Shouldn’t Use Red Colored Pens to Mark Students Homework Because It’s Like Shouting and Upsets Them

How on Earth are today’s kids going to be able to cope with any problems in the future. There in lies the rub, maybe they already can’t and explains the irrational fatal responses to dealing with issues and confrontation of today’s children.

Who in there life has not got a test or paper back in school marked up in read showing the misspelled words, errors and teachers comments? That may be a thing of the past. In the wussified world we live in today because “red” pens make children feel uncomfortable, researchers at University of Colorado in the U.S say that teachers should use more neutral colors like blue. GOOD GRIEF!!! The researchers behind the study say that teachers should not use red pens to mark homework and tests because it could upset schoolchildren. GOOD, THAT IS THE POINT SO THEY DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE IN THE FUTURE.

Teachers should stop using red pens to mark homework and tests because it could upset schoolchildren, U.S researchers say.

A study showed students think they’ve been assessed more harshly when their work is covered in red ink compared to more neutral colours like blue.

Sociologists Richard Dukes and Heather Albanesi from the University of Colorado told the Journal of Social Science: ‘The red grading pen can upset students and weaken teacher-student relations and perhaps learning.’

In 2008, hundreds of schools banned teachers from using red ink to correct work because they considered it ‘confrontational’ and ‘threatening’.

But Chris McGovern, chairman of the Campaign for Real Education, slammed the findings saying: ‘In my own experience of 35 years in teaching is that children actually prefer teachers to use red ink because they can read comments more easily.

The entire point of marking a child’s paper, test, exam and quiz in red is to stand out from the blue or black ink or pencil that was used by the student. What a joke and candy-a$$ country we have become if a child cannot take having their exam graded in red ink. It might upset them? Really, maybe it should upset them so that they learn from their mistakes and get it right the nest time? But the liberals who have destroyed today’s public schools would rather the children feel better and not have anything upset them, rather than actually learn.

What have we come to in this country? I am sorry, but no one can tell me that the school system today. Between educators are more worried about teaching ‘Heather has Two Mommies’, charging children on terroristic threats when in possession of a Hello Kitty bubble gun, teaching sex-ed at far too young an age and gumming down the educational system with “No Child Left Behind’, allowing children to retake tests until they pass. We now have these fools worried about upsetting the children with red ink. Guess what, when you get a 100% or A+, that is in big bold red ink as well. Is that upsetting them as well? AMERICA, when are the parents going to stand up and make educators understand that it is during a child’s learning years that they understand how to cope with mistakes and failures that will serve them later on in life? Then again, many of the times, the parents are also to blame for their coddling of little Bobby or Suzie who were made to feel uncomfortable by getting a bad grade.

We have already taken away dodge ball and any thing that would promote completion in public schools. Picking teams is history because those who are chose last are made to feel inferior. Is it any wonder why when you do nothing but coddle children that they have no idea how to perform in the real world?

Any school that would follow the banning of red ink, should maybe have their decision makers be provided a pink slip as well.

Two Adults and Three Children Shot Dead in Albuquerque, NM … 15 Year Old Male Has been Arrested and Charged with the Murders (UPDATE: Suspect Named: Nehemiah Griego)

Two adults and three children were fatally shot in an Albuquerque, New Mexico home Saturday night. The identities of the victims have yet to be released; however, a man, woman and three children, two girls and one boy,  were found dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds. According to reports, a 15 year old male suspect has been arrested and charged with two counts of murder and three counts of “child abuse resulting in death”. Um, child abuse resulting in death? In New Mexico a death can result in any of the following charges: Murder, Intentional Child Abuse Resulting in Death, Negligent Child Abuse Resulting in Death, Second Degree Murder, Voluntary Manslaughter, Vehicular Homicide, and Involuntary Manslaughter. Police are trying to determine the suspects motive and connection to the five victims. Investigators are trying to determine whether the victims were related, and who owned several guns that were found at the home.

Police said in a statement they had found the bodies of an adult male, an adult female, two girls and a boy – all dead from multiple gunshot wounds – when they arrived at an Albuquerque home late on Saturday.

The statement said a “male juvenile” was in custody and charged with two counts of murder and three counts of “child abuse resulting in death”.

Local media reported that the suspect was 15 years old.

His motive and connection to the five victims are not immediately known, according to a spokesman for Bernalillo County sheriff.

Investigators are trying to determine whether the victims were related, and who owned several guns that were found at the home.

Several guns were found inside the home, including one assault-style rifle; however, it is still being investigated what weapons were used in the murders. All victims were killed by multiple gun shot wounds.

Aaron Williamson, a spokesman for the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, said “multiple” weapons were found at the scene, including a “military-type assault rifle,” adding that the investigation was still under way.

Local networks KOB Four and KOAT Seven said police were investigating whether an assault rifle was used in the killing of a man, a woman, two girls and a boy on Saturday night local time.

UPDATE I: Neighbors identified the two adults and three children killed Saturday night as the Griego family, who they described as active in the church as well as the South Valley neighborhood.

Griego and his wife, Sarah, have 10 kids, according to the pastor’s biography on the Calvary Church website, which has been removed. The other children’s ages were not given in the biography.

The suspect, Nehemiah Griego, 15, was not well known among those living within a block or so of the family’s home on Long Lane in the South Valley.

However, neighbor Peter Gomez said he saw the boy walk with siblings and his parents through the neighborhood regularly, and he “wore nothing but camouflage stuff”.

A male juvenile is in custody this morning following a shooting in the South Valley that left five people dead. Police identified the teen as  Nehemiah Griego, 15, Sunday at about 1:15 p.m.  Officials have not yet released the names of the dead.

Obama White House Releases Letters from Little Kids Pleading for Gun Control … Would they Do the Same About the Debt?

Mmm, mmm, mmm, Barack Hussein Obama … This is nothing more than moral blackmail.

The “Exploiter” in Chief’s White House has released a letter from children pleading for gun control. Really Mr. President, is this the length of your grasp of the issue? You use children’s words because it plays into your anti-2nd Amendment, “imperial” president agenda? Just curious, would Obama release letters from children that criticize him for his deficit spending and year after year $1 trillion spending that has inflated the national debt to over $16 trillion? The debt is going to affect all future children, grand children and great grand children as opposed to the few who would ever be exposed to assault weapons. What about the lack of any job growth plan that has caused children’s parents to be continually on unemployment and food stamps?  So I ask you America, who is more dangerous to our children, assault weapons or Barack Obama’s socialist, big government out of control spending agenda?

From The Weekly Standard:

The White House today released letters from little kids pleading for gun control, just hours before President Obama is to release a comprehensive proposal to limit guns and ammunition. The letters were released to the Associated Press in what appears to be a coordinated effort to help shape the narrative the day of Obama’s announcement.

“Three days after six teachers and 20 students were killed by a rampaging gunman at their elementary school in Newtown, Conn., an 8-year-old from Maryland pulled out a sheet of paper and asked President Barack Obama for ‘some changes in the laws with guns,’” the AP reports.

“It’s a free country but I recommend there needs (to) be a limit with guns,” Grant wrote in a letter dated Dec. 17. “Please don’t let people own machine guns or other powerful guns like that.”

In the days after the shooting, children around the country had the same idea as Grant. They put their feelings about the massacre on paper and sent those letters to a receptive White House.

“I am writing to ask you to STOP gun violence,” wrote Tajeah, a 10-year-old from Georgia. “I am very sad about the children who lost their lives. So, I thought I would write to you to STOP gun violence.”

Maybe the Children who wrote to the president and are going to stand behind Obama when he puts forth his 19 executive orders today might want to learn the way in which a law is actually passed. As stated above, what if the children wrote Obama criticising Obamacare or Obama’s out of control debt? What if the children of America spoke out against Obama’s big government socialism and tax and spend policies? Any chance they would be released to the public?

Pennsylvania Gov. Plans to Sue the NCAA in Federal Court over Sanctions Imposed against Penn State University in Wake of Sandusky Child Molestation Case

This is a head scratching law suit that the Pennsylvania governor will lose in the battle of public opinion.

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett is planning on suing the NCAA in federal court with a lawsuit in response to the sanctions levied against Penn State University in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky sexual abuse scandal. Corbett is supposed to hold a press conference today to announce the law suit and how the state will file the law suit. According to reports, PSU has nothing to do with these lawsuits. The announcement will most like deal with one of the unique sanctions levied by the NCAA. One of the  penalties is the $60 million fine which has become a point of contention in Pennsylvania local politics. Politicians have argued that the money should be used to fight abuse in the state of Pennsylvania, while the NCAA had initially targeted a more national approach for the money. Really folks, this is what you are suing over whether the fines should fight sexual abuse of children in PA or across the country? Poor form folks, really bad form.

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett will announce a federal lawsuit against the NCAA tied to the historic sanctions levied against Penn State in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky scandal. Corbett will hold a press conference on Wednesday morning in State College, Pa., to announce the suit, which will be filed by the state.

Penn State, which has been working in concert with the NCAA since the scandal, is not involved in preparing the suit. It is being handled solely by the state.

Corbett’s office has been vague in regard to the specific aim of the suit, but it appears to be dedicated to the overall sanctions issued by the NCAA in July. Corbett referred to them on Tuesday as “illegal sanctions.”

A wholesale suit against the NCAA by a third party as powerful as the state of Pennsylvania could loom as an important case in testing the ultimate power of the NCAA.

Is this really something that the governor of Pennsylvania really wants to focus the media light on? It was such a heinous act, it just seems rather shallow that a state would only want the monies to go toward their state, rather than country wide. Shallow indeed.

Wisconsin Judge Orders Deadbeat Dad Corey Curtis of Nine Children With Six Women To Stop Procreating

Let the punishment fit the crime … Let’s make it a crime to be irresponsible, how about child abuse and the future that deadbeat parents inflict upon children?

Circuit Court Judge Tim Boyle told 44 year old deadbeat dad Corey Curtis to stop fathering children until he can afford to pay for the ones he already has. Wow, what common sense. However, if this irresponsible fool had the common sense to do such a thing he would have already done so. Just how many children does this deadbeat dad have? He has nine children with six different woman. Great, more drain on responsible tax paying Americans from the “leech” society. Curtis should be forced to stop having children. although such an order is pretty much impossible to enforce. Because slackers in the United States have a Constitutional right to have offspring that the rest of us will have to support. Not to be sexist, let’s include the irresponsible six woman who have had sex with this guy as well. Yes, you are the models of motherhood yourself. Maybe the judge should have ordered them also to stop having children as well.

The Wisconsin man, who has fathered nine children with six women, was ordered yesterday to cease procreating until he can support his numerous offspring.

At Curtis’s sentencing yesterday for bail jumping and failure to pay child support, Circuit Court Judge Tim Boyle told the 44-year-old Racine man that his frequent breeding was to be curbed as a condition of his three-year probation term.

Curtis owes about $90,000 total in back child support and interest to the mothers of his children. Pictured in the above mug shot, Curtis will have to wipe out that debt before he can add heir number ten, ruled Boyle.

What a sad state of affairs when children are brought into the world with two strikes against them.  Maybe Bob Barker can start a spade and neuter program for deadbeat parents!!!
