Federal investigators offered their help late on Friday night regarding the incident at the Tierra Blanca High Country Youth Program, but so far local and state authorities have not asked the FBI to participate, a law enforcement source in New Mexico told NBC News. A search warrant was executed at the Tierra Blanca ranch on Friday amid an abuse investigation, the Associated Press reported, and the boys aged 13 and 17 were found not to be on the property.
New Mexico State Police issued a statement Saturday morning that said they had received information that one or more of the teenage boys may have been returned to their parents.
“We have not been able to confirm officially on our end,” State Police spokesman Emmanuel Gutierrez told NBC News. “It’s a very active investigation we are treating it with the utmost urgency.”\
UPDATE I: An attorney for the ranch, Pete Domenici, Jr., claim the boys are safe; however, Amber Alert remains active …
Domenici issued a statement on Friday in which he said that the teenagers had been “on a previously scheduled activity away from the ranch for several days. They are safe and have already been picked up by their parents, or their parents are en route to pick them up,” according to the AP.
Police said that until they were in a position to physically confirm the well-being of the missing boys, the Amber Alert will remain active.
UPDATE II: At least 1 of 9 teens reported missing from NM youth ranch returned to parents.
New Mexico’s child services department says at least one of the nine teenagers reported missing from a rural ranch for troubled youth has been returned to his parents.
Child, Youth and Families Department spokesman Harry Varela says that “one, possibly more, have been returned.” Varela added Saturday that they are working with the other families
“At this time, Scott Chandler is a person if interest in this case,” said Sgt. Emmanuel Gutierrez, a state police spokesman. “This is an active investigation and all leads are still being followed. At this point and time, State Police has not been able to confirm a location or the safety” of the teens.
Program operators had been ordered to send the kids back to their parents or surrender them to the state after staff members were accused of beating and shackling students.
UPDATE III: 2 boys reported missing from New Mexico ranch returned.
New Mexico officials confirmed that two of the nine boys who were reported missing from a New Mexico ranch for troubled youth have been returned to their families, after the FBI volunteered their help in the search.
UPDATE IV: Attorney: All 9 missing teens from New Mexico youth ranch are with parents.
All nine teenagers who were sought in an Amber Alert are with their parents, according to the lawyer for a New Mexico youth ranch. But, authorities say, the Amber Alert will remain active until they can confirm the teens’ location and well-being.
On Saturday, police said they had confirmed that four of the nine were in their parent’s custody. They were still searching for the five other missing boys.
The nine teens were attending a facility for troubled youths called the Tierra Blanca Youth Ranch, and authorities began searching for them after receiving allegations of abuse, police say.
Pete Domenici, the attorney for the ranch, told CNN early Sunday morning that the teens were all with their parents and have been for “many, many hours.”

Police and a prosecutor on Friday refused to identify the victim or his parents, except on court documents that give the boy’s birth date and the initials T.R.R. But Peterson’s father, Nelson, told the St. Paul Pioneer Press that the child is one of Peterson’s children

Teen Employment Hits Record Lows Under Barack Obama Presidency … Great Depression for Teens
Can’t blame this one on George W. Bush … How can Obama actually says he cares?
How’s that “Hopey-Changey” thing working out for your teens in America? Thanks to Barack Obama, we are witness to a Great Depression for teens. How is it that young people are for Barack Obama when none of them can get a job thanks to is moronic handling of the economy? And they have nothing better to look forward to when they leave their teens as well. Obama has been a disaster for the economy and jobs. He constantly says that he is focused like a laser on creating jobs, but continues to be an epic failure. The teen employment numbers get even worse when you look at race. When comparing June and July 2000 and the same two months of 2013 … in 2000, 61.28% of white teens 16 to 19 held a job, a number that fell to 39.25% this summer. But for African-Americans, the number that was completely pathetic. In 2000, 33.91% of 16 to 19 year old’s holding a job, fell to a staggering low of 19.25 percent this June and July. Good grief, that should be criminal. If Obama was nit black the NAACP would be marching in the streets. Obama has been a disgrace to the black community, yet they support him like he actually cared.
These job numbers border of child abuse.
Obama shakes the hands of unemployed teens
For the fourth consecutive summer, teen employment has stayed anchored around record lows, prompting experts to fear that a generation of youth is likely to be economically stunted with lower earnings and opportunities in years ahead.
The trend is all the more striking given that the overall unemployment rate has steadily dropped, to 7.4 percent in August. And employers in recent months have been collectively adding almost 200,000 new jobs a month. It led to hopes that this would be the summer when teen employment improved.
In 1999, slightly more than 52 percent of teens 16 to 19 worked a summer job. By this year, that number had plunged to about 32.25 percent over June and July. It means that slightly more than three in 10 teens actually worked a summer job, out of a universe of roughly 16.8 million U.S. teens.
“We have never had anything this low in our lives. This is a Great Depression for teens, and no time in history have we encountered anything like that,” said Andrew Sum, director of the Center for Labor Market Studies at Northeastern University in Boston. “That’s why it’s such an important story.”
Is is any wonder why Barack Obama wants to start a war with Syria and take the focus off of his dismal domestic policies, record, failures and scandals?

Operation Cross Country: FBI Raid in 76 Cities Rescues 105 Missing Teens Forced into Prostitution and Sex Trafficking
Operation Cross Country … FBI raid in 76 cities across the United States rescues 105 missing teens as young as 13 forced into prostitution and sex trafficking.
Win one for the good guys. A massive nationwide law enforcement sweep targeting child sex-trafficking and the exploitation of teens has rescued 105 sexually exploited children and the arrest of more than 150 pimps and others. It is about time these vermin who pray of minors get what is coming to them. It is bad enough that adult prostitution exists, but the exploitation and child prostitution of underage boys and girls is beyond reprehensible. We cannot do enough to help these kids and stop sex trafficking in the United States. These parasites that were arrested should never see the light of day.
The coordinated action between multiple federal, state and local agencies was the largest such enforcement action to date, according to the FBI. Seventy-six cities took part, as well as the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) as part of the Bureau’s Innocence Lost National Initiative.
Authorities rescued 105 children who were forced into prostitution and arrested 150 pimps and others in a three-day law enforcement sweep in 76 American cities, the FBI said Monday. The victims, almost all girls, range in age from 13 to 17.
The largest numbers of children rescued were in San Francisco, Detroit, Milwaukee, Denver and New Orleans. The campaign, known as Operation Cross Country, was conducted under the FBI’s Innocence Lost initiative.
“Child prostitution remains a persistent threat to children across the country,” Ron Hosko, assistant director of the bureau’s criminal investigative division, told a press conference.
The FBI said the campaign has resulted in rescuing 2,700 children since 2003.
The investigations and convictions of 1,350 have led to life imprisonment for 10 pimps and the seizure of more than $3.1 million in assets.

Zimmerman Attorney Don West Loses his Mind at the Prosecution For Introducing Third Degree Felony Murder Child Abuse Charge … Tells Court, ‘This Was A Trick’ (UPDATE: Judge Disallows Third Degree Murder Child Abuse Charges)
This morning the State dropped a bombshell that smelled to the high heavens as they tried to sand bag George Zimmerman and the Defense team with a last second underlying lesser felony of third degree murder child abuse charge. UNREAL! Defense attorney Don West blasted the prosecution for their tactics and called it nothing more than a “trick”. West states to the Court, “This is outrageous “. Judge Nelson recessed the court for a number of hours in order to allow the defense to prepare for the change in charges the jury will be allowed to consider.
George Zimmerman’s prosecutors want to add lesser charges for the death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin, including manslaughter and third-degree murder, possibly because they’re worried he’ll be acquitted.
In the state of Florida, third-degree murder doesn’t require proving that Zimmerman acted with some sort of “ill will” or hatred. The new charge, however, does need a felony-basis. In a surprising move, the prosecution argued Zimmerman committed child abuse as the felony required for third-degree murder.
Richard Mantei, one prosecutor explained, “When one commits … child abuse, and the child dies — the child being defined as a person under the age of 18 — that can constitute felony murder in the third degree.”
“This is outrageous,” West said. He asked Judge Debra Nelson to recess the court for a number of hours in order to allow the defense to prepare for the change in charges the jury will be allowed to consider.

“It’s just hard for me to imagine that the court could take this seriously,” he noted, observing that the court had not been provided sufficient time to prepare for this change in charges either. Nelson dismissed this objection saying that the late introduction of requested materials has been from both the prosecution and the defense has been a regular feature of this case.
West protested again that this instruction was emailed to him only this morning, but it was obvious that the state had been preparing the background to support the additional charges for some time.
“Really?” he asked. West indicated that Angela Corey, attorney in Florida’s Fourth Judicial Circuit Court who presented the initial second degree murder charge against Zimmerman, apparently “approves” of the state’s maneuver.
“It’s not fair to me, it’s not fair to Mr. Zimmerman, or Mr. O’Mara, or the court for this to happen like this right now,” West said.
UPDATE I: Judge Debra Nelson disallows the State’s attempt to charge George Zimmerman with the ridiculous charge of Third Degree Felony Murder Child Abuse. Judge Nelson stated that the evidence did not warrant the charge.
