Former VT Gov & DNC Chair Howard Dean Threatens To Leave Democratic Party Over Obama’s Budget

The bloom is off the Obama rose now that Democrats do not have to support him for another presidential run …

Former Vermont governor, Democrat presidential candidate and DNC Chair Howard Dean has threatened to leave the Democrat party over Barack Obama’s proposed budget. Dean stated, “I just think that’s unacceptable. If this passed I would have to reevaluate if I belong in the Democratic Party. If this were passed with Democratic votes, I think it would be impossible to be Democrat.” Does Obama’s budget have a chance of passing and getting Democrat votes, Dean does not think so. Folks on the LEFT are calling this Dean’s Obama scream. If Howie leaves the Democrat party, there is always the socialist party for him to turn to.

Howard Dean has had it with President Obama’s budget proposal, saying the plan put forward by the White House might just drive him from the Democratic Party he once led as DNC chair.

On Sunday night, Dean tweeted that the restoration of some defense sequestration cuts contained in Obama’s budget proposal were a step too far when coupled with the president’s entitlement cut proposal that progressives like Dean are already livid about.

“If this is true I may have to become an independant [sic],” Dean wrote, before linking to an April 10 article by Bloomberg BusinessWeek’s Josh Green.

NewBusters asks, Will the media notice this story? Whether they wish to or not, there is a civil war a brewing in the Democrat party.

Barack Obama to Teach Young People ‘How to Budget Responsibly’ … What Next Bill Clinton Teaching Monogamy

You just can’t make this stuff up … More from the tales of Obama in Wonderland.

President Barack Obama is the poster child for wasteful government spending. President Obama has not had a budget since he has been president and has increased the national debt by trillions with no end in sight. Obama has increased the national debt by $53,377 per household since he was elected now has the audacity to proclaimed April “National Financial Capability Month where he will teach young people “how to budget responsibly.” HUH? If there was an individual never to take advice from on budget responsibility, it would be Barack Obama. As stated by Weasel Zippers“Should the guy who can’t submit a budget by the legal deadline to save his life really be lecturing young people on how to budget?”

When Obama was inaugurated on Jan. 20, 2009, the total debt of the federal government was $10,626,877,048,913.08. As of the close of business on March 28, 2013, the total debt of the federal government was $16,766,988,432,792.62—an increase of $6,140,111,383,879.54 since Obama took office.

President Barack Obama, who has increased the national debt by $53,377 per household, has proclaimed April “National Financial Capability Month,” during which his administration will do things such as teach young people “how to budget responsibly.”

“I call upon all Americans to observe this month with programs and activities to improve their understanding of financial principles and practices,” Obama said in an official proclamation released Friday.

“My Administration is dedicated to helping people make sound decisions in the marketplace,” he said.

“Together, we can prepare young people to tackle financial challenges–from learning how to budget responsibly to saving for college, starting a business, or opening a retirement account,” he said.

This guy has some crust. What’s next Bill Clinton lecturing us on Monogamywith guest speakers former North Carolina Senator John Edwards? Maybe the late Ted Kennedy can teach youngsters drivers education? Good Grief!!!

After 4 Years Senate Democrats Finally Passed A Budget Complete with a $1 Trillion Tax Hike

AFTER 4 YEARS SENATE DEMOCRATS PASS A BUDGET WITH $1 TRILLION IN TAX HIKES …

For the first time in four years the Democrat controlled US Senate has passed a budget. From the looks of it they shouldn’t have bothered. The budget plan was passed by a 50-49 vote in the Democratic-controlled chamber, with 4 Democratic senators facing tough re-election campaigns in 2014 joined all the Senate Republicans in opposing the measure. Max Baucus (D-MT), Mark Begich (D-AK), Kay Hagan (D-NC) and  Mark Pryor (D-AR) all voted against the Democrat budget. It is just a coincidence that all four Democrats are up for reelection in 2014 “Red” states. Vulnerable Senate Democrats like Mary Landrieu (LA), Mark Warner (VA) and Tim Johnson (SD) should be made to pay a price in the 2014 elections for supporting the budget. Simply incredible, after four years of not doing their job, the budget that Democrats pass is chock full of new spending, taxes and a vote against actually  balancing it. Oh wait, did we mention it just taxes, taxes and taxes?

The Senate Democrat passed budget bill contains $1 trillion in new tax hikes. The following is a list of all Senators up for reelection in 2014.

From The Hill:

Centrist Sens. Kay Hagan (D-N.C.), Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.), Mark Pryor (D-Ark.), Mark Begich (D-Alaska), Heidi Heitkamp (D-N.D.) and Max Baucus (D-Mont.) were all non-committal up until the end.

Baucus, Begich, Hagan and Pryor joined the entire GOP caucus in voting against the budget resolution. Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.), who was ill,  missed the vote. His office said he would have been available to vote if needed.

All the Democratic senators who voted “no” are up for reelection in 2014 in states that voted for GOP nominee Mitt Romney.

Democrats had been dogged by criticism for failing to approve a budget resolution since 2009 and the vote removes that GOP talking point from the political scene.

Yea’s On the Resolution (S. Con. Res. 8 ):

No wonder Senate Democrats had not passed a previous budget prior to Obama’s reelection. The Senate budget has a 0% chance of passing The House.

President Barack Obama Says He Won’t Balance Budget ‘Just for the Sake of Balance’ … In Other Words, He Will Never Balance It!

File the following under something we did not know … Barack Obama has no intention of ever balancing the budget.

In an exclusive interview with ABC News, President Barack Obama rejected calls to balance the federal budget, as set forth by Rep. Paul Ryan (WI-R) in his recently released budget, in the next ten years and instead argued that his primary economic concern was not balancing the budget, but rather growing the economy. HUH? Growing the economy, how does this socialist, anti-capitalist, over-regulating president plan on doing this? What a shock, Barack Obama has returned back to his fear mongering and smear tactics after Paul Ryan released a responsible way to provide growth and reduce the budget. Let’s face it, Obama has no idea what he is doing with the economy and does not plan to reduce the deficit, because he is the one who has mainly helped in creating this $16 trillion and counting debt. The only growth that Obama knows is the record number of Americans on food stamps.

Obama, I plan on balancing the budget this much.

My goal is not to chase a balanced budget just for the sake of balance. My goal is how do we grow the economy, put people back to work, and if we do that we are going to be bringing in more revenue,” he said. Obama rejected a proposal put forth by Rep. Paul Ryan today that would balance the budget in ten years, saying the Republican House member’s plan “slashes deeply” at programs like Medicaid.

Instead, Obama went back to his more comfortable demonization and “Divider” in Chief, community agitator mode and told George Stephanopoulos that Ryan and Republicans are attempting to balance the budget on the backs of the poor, the elderly, students. So much for the “offensive charm”, welcome back the blame and division of America. So I guess Obama is trying to destroy America on the fronts of the poor, elderly and students? Just wondering, what ever happened to shared sacrifice and everyone is supposed to have skin in the game, including the poor, elderly and students?

We’re not gonna balance the budget in ten years because if you look at what Paul Ryan does to balance the budget, it means that you have to voucher-ize Medicare, you have to slash deeply into programs like Medicaid, you’ve essentially got to — either tax — middle class families a lot higher than you currently are, or you can’t lower rates the way he’s promised,” the president told me. “So it’s really, you know, it’s a reprise of the same legislation that he’s put before.” “If we controlled spending and we have a smart entitlement package, then potentially what you have is balance — but it is not balance to, on the backs of the poor, the elderly, students who need student loans, families that have disabled kids. That is not the right way to balance,” he said.

As we are reminded by the WAPO, Obama plans to release his own budget plan in April, two months after the president is required to announce his budget priorities to Congress. Far be it from Obama to actually perform the required duties of his office. Yet another case of leading from behind as Obama will first see the Ryan and Senate Democrat plan before he puts together his own. Like he would know how to create a budget in the first place. With this deficit $trillion spending president, it is akin to an alcoholic penning his own “what I will not drink today” plan.

Paul Ryan: GOP Budget Blueprint Includes Repeal of Obamacare (Obamatax Job Killing, Budget Increasing) Disaster

This weekend on FOX News Sunday, Rep. Paul Ryan (WI-R) stated that the budget blueprint he plans to unveil on Tuesday will promote repealing Obamacare.  Let’s hope that both Ryan and the GOP are sincere and have a spin and the conviction to go through with this. As we continue to learn every day, Obamacare will bankrupt the United States and destroy jobs. We need healthcare reform in the US, Obamacare is not it. Obamacare is not providing any of its promises, in fact it is doing just the opposite.

Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, chairman of the House Budget Committee, said Sunday that his new budget includes the repeal of President Obama’s health-care reform law known as ObamaCare.

Ryan told “Fox News Sunday” that the new proposal will make enough cuts to balance the federal budget in 10 years, compared to his previous one that tried to achieve that goal in 25 years.

“We think we owe the American people a balanced budget,” the Republican congressman said.

Ryan said the focus of the ObamaCare repeal would be to stop the expansion of Medicaid, the federal program that provides medical services to low-income U.S. families.

“Our budget does promote repealing ObamaCare and replacing it with a better system,” said Ryan, who did not say whether his 2014 budget is based on a full repeal.
