WAPO-ABC Tracking Poll: Mitt Romney 49%, Barack Obama 48%
Slip, Sliding Away …
Don’t look now but Mitt Romney just took the lead over Barack Obama in the WAPO-ABC presidential tracking poll 49% to 48%. More importantly, when individuals were asked about the economy, the most important issue of the day, 50% of likely voters say they trust Mitt Romney with the economy, while 45% sided with the president.
The new Washington Post-ABC News national tracking poll has 49 percent of likely voters supporting Republican Mitt Romney, and 48 percent President Obama, a seesawing result that shows the continued narrowness of the contest.
The change from yesterday’s Post-ABC tracking poll, which showed the race 49 to 48 percent the other way, is statistically insignificant, and the numbers do not include any public reaction to the third and final presidential debate Monday night. Almost all of Monday’s interviews were conducted before the debate started.
Does Obama read the polling data? He most certainly does. As reported at the WAPO, Barack Obama sent an email to supports,“I don’t want to lose this election.” Get used to the notion Barack, come November 6, We the People will be adding you to the unemployment list.

Chris Wallace Provides Post Debate Analysis on FOX News …“You Would Have Thought Romney Was The President” … Romney Said, “Mr. President, America has not dictated to other nations. We have freed other nations from dictators.”
Attacking Romney and Snark is not a foreign policy or Presidential …
Last night following the third and final 2012 Presidential debate from Lynn University, Chris Wallace of Fox News Sunday provided his post game analysis. Wallace said, “You Would Have Thought Romney Was The President.”
Mitt Romney’s objective was to appear Presidential and capable in the eyes of America being President of the United States. Obama’s goal was to trivialize Romney. In the end through his snark and smallness Obama trivialized himself. Many focused on Obama’s snark of horses, bayonets and ships; however, that was hardly the line of the night.
The Presidential line of the evening was when Mitt Romney blasted Barack Obama for his apology tour after taking office and bashing America. Romney stated, Mr. President, America has not dictated to other nations. We have freed other nations from dictators. AMEN!
ROMNEY: We’re four years closer to a nuclear Iran. We’re four years closer to a nuclear Iran. And – and – we should not have wasted these four years to the extent they – they continue to be able to spin these centrifuges and get that much closer. That’s number one.
Number two, Mr. President, the reason I call it an apology tour is because you went to the Middle East and you flew to Egypt and to Saudi Arabia and to Turkey and Iraq. And by the way, you skipped Israel, our closest friend in the region, but you went to the other nations.
And by the way, they noticed that you skipped Israel. And then in those nations, and on Arabic TV, you said that America had been dismissive and derisive. You said that on occasion America had dictated to other nations.
Mr. President, America has not dictated to other nations. We have freed other nations from dictators.
Mitt Romney: “When I’m President of the United States, we will stand with Israel”
During tonight’s Presidential Debate in Boca Raton, FL, Mitt Romney was asked by moderator Bob Schieffer, would either of you be willing to declare that an attack on Israel is an attack on the United States? Romney’s response was … “When I’m President of the United States, we will stand with Israel”
ROMNEY: Well, first of all, I want to underscore the same point the president mad,e which is that if I’m President of the United States, when I’m President of the United States, we will stand with Israel.
And if Israel is attacked, we have their back, not just diplomatically, not just culturally, but militarily. That’s number one.
Number two, with regards to Iran and the threat of Iran, there’s no question but that a nuclear Iran, a nuclear-capable Iran is unacceptable to America. It presents a threat not only to our friends but ultimately a threat to us to have Iran have nuclear material, nuclear weapons that could be used against us or used to be threatening to us.
The Gateway Pundit reminds us that Obama’s comments tonight rang a little hollow when it came to Israel. Obama also said he was with Israel; however, when he had his chance to put up or shut up, Obama failed. How soon Obama forgets that he invited Muslim Brotherhood Egyptian President Mohammad Morsi to meet with him in New York at the UN, but he blew off Israeli PM Netanyahu.
Another power moment for Romney during the debate was when he KO’d the president with Obama’s apology tour.
Number two, Mr. President, the reason I call it an apology tour is because you went to the Middle East and you flew to Egypt and to Saudi Arabia and to Turkey and Iraq. And by the way, you skipped Israel, our closest friend in the region, but you went to the other nations.

The Incredible Shrinking, Small and Factually Incorrect President … “we also have fewer horses and bayonets … We have these ships that go underwater, nuclear submarines”
Barack Obama, the Snark in Chief …
Tonight during the third and final Presidential debate, Barack Obama showed why we call his the “Lost in Smallness” president. I am not sure if a president ever acted so small, trite and petty ever before in a debate. In an attempt to humiliate and diminish Romney, Obama acted a fool and beneath of Office and was factually incorrect when he made the snide, wise-a$$ comment, “we also have fewer horses and bayonets … We have these ships that go underwater, nuclear submarines” How contemptuous could Obama be? It is no wonder that Obama can get nothing done with a President like this.
OBAMA: But I think Governor Romney maybe hasn’t spent enough time looking at how our military works.
You mentioned the Navy, for example, and that we have fewer ships than we did in 1916. Well, Governor, we also have fewer horses and bayonets, because the nature of our military’s changed. We have these things called aircraft carriers, where planes land on them. We have these ships that go underwater, nuclear submarines.
OBAMA: And so the question is not a game of Battleship, where we’re counting slips. It’s what are our capabilities. And so when I sit down with the Secretary of the Navy and the Joint Chiefs of Staff, we determine how are we going to be best able to meet all of our defense needs in a way that also keeps faith with our troops, that also makes sure that our veterans have the kind of support that they need when they come home.
Lets get a couple of facts straight here.
1. Marines still use bayonets.
2. Submarines are boats not ships.
3. Since when has Obama ever sat down and determined military strategy with those in the know and generals on the ground? Obama called for time tables for withdrawals for political reasons, rather than winning a war.
