More Liberal Humor. Or is it Hate?
Its just another example of that liberal tolerance. Its probably also another example why the Democrats will not win another election any time soon. Or possibly the reason why hate acts have become a common occurrence on college campuses?
Take a look at what they are selling these days in the name of humor. Or is it HATE? Hmm … telling a member of the US Government … “to please commit suicide.”
THAT WILL WIN YOU THE MODERATE AND INDEPENDENT VOTE.
This coming from the same type of people representing the Democratic Party that brought us the comment that they wanted to see Henry Hyde stoned to death.
They are so proud of their T-shirt that look what happens now when you try to order it.
Hmmm … product cannot be found. I wonder why? Could the hate on the LEFT be any farther over the edge of insanity? Why would any common sense minded individual ever vote for candidates that these people back? Think about this the next time you vote.
With marketing like this is it any wonder why acts like this occur that Michelle Malkin writes about?
UPDATE: H/T: Byrd Droppings and Kitty Litter: Can we still order?
The Lords of the Rings
Today the Boston Red Sox, 2004 World Series Champions, beat the NY Yankees 8-1 in their home opener. More than the win against the hated evil empire Yankees was the pre-game ceremonies that provided the fans with a moment for a lifetime as the Red Sox were given their 2004 World Championship rings and the 2004 World Series banner was raised. There were many a moving moment and I will have to say after suffering through many years of less than inspiring Management of the Boston Red Sox, the owners got it right today. Some moving and emotional moments from todays ceremonies (provided by By Eric Wilbur, Boston.com):
After fans roared for the 2004 Red Sox, who received their rings one by one, culminating with Johnny Pesky receiving his after 64 long years But when Tedy Bruschi came out to toss the ceremonial first pitch, along with Richard Seymour, Bill Russell, and Bobby Orr, Fenway Park went ecstatic. And here he was, wearing Terry Francona’s No. 47, an obvious tribute to the Red Sox manager’s own recent health troubles. The unfolding of the team’s World Series banners one by one over the Green Monster to the chords of “2001” by members of the Boston Symphony and Pops A number of our “greatest American heroes” were on the field before the ring ceremony, as members of the US military were on hand shaking hands with the players and Red Sox staff to chants of “USA” from the crowd. The raising of the 2004 World Series championship pennant, while a grand idea with members of last year’s team, along with Red Sox legends including Dwight Evans, Dom DiMaggio, and Bill Lee Really. Classy. During a moment of silence being observed for former Sox hurler Dick Radatz
There was not a dry eye in the house and a lump was in everyone’s throat when Tedy Bruschi walked out threw one of the ceremonial first pitches wearing Boston skipper, Terry Francona’s, # 47 and they bear hugged each other. You simply have to see it. In one of the more funnier and very classy moments by both Red Sox fans cheered Yankee closer Mariano Rivera. They may be the hated Yankees, but you have to call pure class when you see it. For a baseball player in this day and age to have played along with the Boston crowd and not taking the situation too seriously was priceless. There are many ball players that can learn from Rivera’s example:
When Mariano Rivera’s name was called, the fans gave the Yankee closer a standing ovation, thanking him for his two blown saves in the ALCS, and last week in the Bronx. But an even funnier thing happened. Perhaps forever enduring himself to much of Red Sox Nation, Rivera played along, tipping his cap to the crowd, and smiling at the mock gesture.
I tip my hat to Mariano Rivera, that’s what separates the good from the great and the great from the Hall of Fame. For more on the game and box scores go here courtesy of ESPN.

Democrats Wrong Again. Looks Like Large Troop Reductions in Iraq
According to the NY Times, the Pentagon to plan for significant troop reductions by early next year. It would appear that due to many positive circumstances happening in Iraq, the Pentagon feels confident that it is OK to begin reductions in US troops. Funny, last time I checked the MSM they seem to be reporting only negative stories. Seems like this would be an admission by the NYT that positive one’s are occurring too.
But there is a consensus emerging among these top officers and other senior defense officials about several positive developing trends, although each carries a cautionary note.
Attacks on allied forces have dropped to 30 to 40 a day, down from an average daily peak of 140 in the prelude to the Jan. 30 elections but still roughly at the levels of a year ago.
Several top associates of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the Jordanian militant whose network has claimed responsibility for many of the most deadly attacks, have been captured or killed in recent weeks.
Due to the lessened attacks on US forces in Iraq, this has enabled the US forces to concentrate on other productive areas in dealing with Iraq and training Iraqi soldiers.
The American military priority has shifted from waging offensive operations to training Iraqi troops and police officers. Iraqi forces now oversee sections of Baghdad and Mosul, with American forces on call nearby to help in a crisis. More than 2,000 American military advisers are working directly with Iraqi forces.
George W. Bush and The Pentagon are handling the US troop reduction in a steady and intelligent manner. Not swayed by polls or election results to make their decisions. Both Bush and the Pentagon know that Iraq must show certain qualities in order for the protection of the US military to be withdrawn .
Precisely when and how many American forces withdraw from Iraq hinges on several factors, including the security situation, the size and competence of newly trained Iraqi forces, and the wishes of the new Iraqi government. Gen. George W. Casey Jr., the top commander in Iraq, told CNN two weeks ago that if all went well, “we should be able to take some fairly substantial reductions in the size of our forces” by this time next year.
It is obvious for many years to come the US will most likely have a military presence in Iraq; however, major troop presence looks like it will be decreased in the not too distant future. It will also be done in its proper time when Iraq can protect itself with its own security forces and military. This is a far cry from the cynical MSM’s cries that GWB would reduce troops for political gain or because polls supporting the war were falling. GWB has acted true to his word in how he would deal with this war and has remained steadfast.
Kerry: Do Something Important Like Go Windsurfing
There seems to be a trend with vanquished Democrats Presidential hopefuls lately. Whether it was Al Gore in 2000 or John Kerry in 2004, they just can’t seem to stop whining and take their loss like a man. Kerry’s latest excuse as to why he lost seems to be based on the fact that those Wascally Wepublicans used trickery to keep voters from the polls. Get over it.
“Last year too many people were denied their right to vote, too many who tried to vote were intimidated,” the Massachusetts senator said at an event sponsored by the state League of Women Voters.
Kerry also cited examples Sunday of how people were duped into not voting.
“Leaflets are handed out saying Democrats vote on Wednesday, Republicans vote on Tuesday. People are told in telephone calls that if you’ve ever had a parking ticket, you’re not allowed to vote,” he said.
In one of the more comical examples cited by the Democratic nominee that lost the popular vote in 2004 rather handily; Kerry referenced that Democrats were not allowed to vote in Democratic areas:
“…that voting irregularities in largely Democratic areas made it difficult for voters to cast ballots in the November election. A lawsuit in Ohio cited long lines and a shortage of voting machines in predominantly minority neighborhoods, but the Ohio Supreme Court dismissed the suit.”
I hate to inform John, but those heavily Democratic areas he is referring to are controlled by DEMOCRATS. Just like in FL, four years earlier, Democrats only have themselves to blame if they cannot competently run election polls in areas they control.
Senator Kerry, do you ever think it may be you who lost he election.? Mr Kerry, if you feel so strongly that you were wronged and their were voting irregularities then why don’t you sponsor a bill that Federally standardizes voting and registration? Let’s put an end to felons voting, double and triple voting, same day registration fraud and multiple state registrations to concentrate on fair and accurate voting results. I didn’t think so.
Laura Ingraham wrote a book recently about liberal elites stating called “Shut Up and Sing.” The book based on the premise among others that They (Liberals) think you’re stupid. However, in John Kerry’s case, although he also thinks voters are too stupid to understand how and when to vote, what best fits Kerry would be SHUT UP AND WINDSURF.
Over at the 1754 Blog, “there’s nothing more pathetic than a Boston dandy who lost the Presidency.” Well said.
Lorie at PoliPundit adding that they were doing a “public service” if Kerry were correct, touchà ©.
James Hudnall also right on the money. I just can’t understand why he wasn’t more appealing?
