Daily Commentary – Tuesday, August 18th, 2009 – Charlotte Hartey: Girl Diagnosed with Swine Flu, Dies of Tonsillitis … Government Run Health Care

Posted in: Bizarre,Child Welfare,Deceased,Government,Healthcare,World,WTF

  • Apparently a 16 year old girl, who lives in the U.K., was misdiagnosed over the phone and treated for the wrong disease. Welcome to government run health care and rationing. Diagnosis done over the phone rather than in person to save money. Too bad it does not save lives.

Welcome to a preview of government run, cost cutting health care. Who needs a costly doctor’s office visit when one can easily just be diagnosed over the phone for less cost. What’s the harm?

Mr Hartey said: “Charlotte was misdiagnosed. She was diagnosed with swine flu over the phone and treated for something she didn’t have.
“She actually had tonsillitis and that led to her developing abscesses in her lungs and blood poisoning as the bacteria spread, which ultimately killed her.
“This was a death that shouldn’t have happened. No-one should die from tonsillitis in 2009.”
