How Bad is Obamacare? Even the AP Says … He Lied to Americans during Health Care Presser … Reid & Pelosi Cancel Health Care Vote

Is it any wonder why Obamacare is going down in flames? Is it any wonder why the more Obama_liarAmericans hear of this health care overhaul that will ration health care, increase taxes and ruin the very essence of doctor – patient relationships in the United States, that support for the plan is going down the tubes as all polls show that voter have no confidence in how Obama is handling health care.

It is bad enough that Obama attacked doctors credibility during the Health care press conference where Obama had little specifics, but when he did talk about the way in which Americans would be affected  … he misrepresented the truth.

Just how bad is the Obamacare plan and the spin/lie/BS being spewed by The One to defend this indefensible plan? The AP actually provided a fact check of what Barack Obama said vs. the reality of the plan. That is correct, the AP called Obama on his rhetoric.

President Barack Obama’s assertion Wednesday that government will stay out of health care decisions in an overhauled system is hard to square with the proposals coming out of Congress and with his own rhetoric.

Even now, nearly half the costs of health care in the U.S. are paid for by government at all levels. Federal authority would only grow under any proposal in play.

A look at some of Obama’s claims in his prime-time news conference:

OBAMA: “We already have rough agreement” on some aspects of what a health care overhaul should involve, and one is: “It will keep government out of health care decisions, giving you the option to keep your insurance if you’re happy with it.”

THE FACTS: In House legislation, a commission appointed by the government would determine what is and isn’t covered by insurance plans offered in a new purchasing pool, including a plan sponsored by the government. The bill also holds out the possibility that, over time, those standards could be imposed on all private insurance plans, not just the ones in the pool …

Get even more lies that Obama told the American people regarding his health care plan at The Gateway Pundit.

The end result of Obama’s poor effort the other night in selling Obamacare, the continued unanswered questions regarding coverage and the downward spiral in Obamacare polls have all but put a stop to The One ramming health care socialism and rationing from a pre-recess vote.

Democratic Majority leader in the Senate, Harry Reid has stated that there will be no health care vote in the Senate prior to the August recess. Maybe Democrats are not so nuts to follow Obama off the cliff?

From Stop the ACLU comes this pre-Waterloo moment. President Barack Obama after playing Chicken Little and announcing that the sky is falling unless Obamacare is passed right now is suddenly saying it’s ok if its delayed. And so it begins … a Presidency on the decline.

Not to be out done, Democratic House speaker Nancy Pelosi has also backed off her August recess vote deadline. Although, Speaker Pelosi lives in a world of denial and fantasy land if she thinks that the delay will not sink Obama care even more. Wait until the Representatives get home and have to face the ire of “We the People” in person.

Pelosi dismissed concerns expressed by many Democrats that a month long delay could give opponents more chances to rally opposition to the bill.

“I’m not afraid of August,” Pelosi said. “It’s a month.”

UPDATE I: Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty blasts Obama plan

“This whole health care proposal by president Obama is really quite a joke on a number of levels,” Pawlenty told Neil Cavuto. “I think he is scamming the American people. Even if you believe that it is only going to tax people over $1 million, what is known to happen is that is only going to cover about 25% of the total cost. the rest will be paid for by saving waste, fraud, and abuse. If you believe that, then I’ve got some January tee time in northern Minnesota.”

Pawlenty warned Republicans of allowing health care to become “a poltical referendum on” Obama, and to instead stick to arguing the policy.

The Viking Pundit discusses the disasters of the Massachusetts and Hawaii health care debacles. We are supposed to learn from disasters, not recreate them.
