ITS ONLY JUST BEGUN …

According to Nielsen ratings, the NFL is down 11% this year as compared to 2016. After this past weekends despicable actions by NFL players and owners alike, look for the TV ratings to slide even more. The fans are pissed at the disrespectful actions of the NFL and their disrespect the the U.S. flag, the National Anthem and to the men and women who have died protecting our liberties and freedoms. Look for the ratings to go down much further as We the People teach the NFL a valuable lesson in patriotism, freedom and respect. One has to wonder what the NFL is thinking in attacking their fan base and some how stating they are unified. Unified against what exactly, the very people who buy their merchandise, pay for tickets and watch the games? DirecTV has experienced a wave of cancellations amid the NFL National Anthem protects. Keep it up NFL, you better figure out who butters your bread and why. Americans have other things they can do on Sundays than deal with you disrespectful malcontents.

Through three weeks, viewership for national telecasts of NFL games is down 11 percent this season compared to 2016, the Nielsen company said on Tuesday.

Nielsen said the games averaged 17.63 million viewers for the first three weeks of last season, and have dipped to 15.65 million this year. The Nielsen figures don’t include many of the Sunday afternoon games that are shown to a regional audience, but not a national one.

The NFL ratings are in focus because of President Donald Trump’s suggestion that viewers are turned off by a protest against police brutality that began with quarterback Colin Kaepernick refusing to stand for the national anthem. The protests spread rapidly this past weekend following the president’s criticism of people involved.

Next week’s ratings will be even more closely watched, since conservative groups and Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity have called for people angered by the protests to boycott this weekend’s games.
