April 15 Tax Day … Tea Party Day Across America … Let Yourself be Heard

Posted in: Bloggers,Government,Internet,Politics,Taxes,Tea Party

As Americans are filing their taxes today, they are also filing in line to head off the TEA PARTIES across the United States as they have had enough. Tax Day has become a National Protest Day. There are a reported 300 Tea Parties in 50 states today to protest protest higher taxes and out of control government spending. It is “We the People” who are finally standing up and saying, ENOUGH!

There is no political party behind these rallies, no grand right-wing conspiracy, not even a 501(c) group like MoveOn.org.

So who’s behind the Tax Day tea parties? Ordinary folks who are using the power of the Internet to organize. For a number of years, techno-geeks have been organizing “flash crowds” — groups of people, coordinated by text or cellphone, who converge on a particular location and then do something silly, like the pillow fights that popped up in 50 cities earlier this month. This is part of a general phenomenon dubbed “Smart Mobs” by Howard Rheingold, author of a book by the same title, in which modern communications and social-networking technologies allow quick coordination among large numbers of people who don’t know each other.

As stated at Macsmind, the Tea Parties bring out the “heart of Conservative America.” Tead_offThe point of tea parties are not to be anti-Obama or anti-establishment to government. It is to remind America what made America. Our Founding Fathers and the brave patriots who fought a War of Independence from the English Crown and King did not do so in order to have an America one instead. What happened to fiscal responsibility in the United States? What happened to corporate and government responsibility? The answer cannot be for the government to just keep spending money, printing money and taxing Americans.

Make no mistake out it, the Tea Parties are a shot across the bow to politicians and especially so-called Republicans that the people will not tolerate the ridiculous increases in taxes to create a Socialist nation. The point of government is not supposed to make future generations pay for their sins. Some taxes are necessary; however, to just continually raise taxes and spend money in bailouts like druken sailors is never the answer.

Where will you be for Tea Party Day? This is a chance for “We the People” to make our voices heard. They will be held all 50 states across America in cities and towns alike. Go to TaxDayTeaParty.com and choose a state.
