UPDATE I: #FindMalik: FBI joins search for missing child.

The FBI has joined in on the search for Malik Drummond, a 2-year-old boy who was been missing since Sunday night. Arkansas State Police issued a Morgan Nick Amber Alert on the night of his disappearance.

Volunteers are now searching a creek on the other side of Beebe Capps Expressway for any signs of the child. The Searcy Police Department has moved their command post to the St. Mary Church at Park Avenue and Sowell Street; this is where volunteers need to go first before joining the search.

UPDATE II: Missing child’s father: “Just bring my son home”.

The father, mother, and grandmother of the missing toddler spoke to KATV on Monday. With Malik missing for more than 24 hours, the family says they are getting desperate.

“He’s so little, you know? He doesn’t know his way around, and he doesn’t have nothing on but a t-shirt and some pants and shoes…that’s it,” Malik’s mother Tanya Drummond said.

Malik’s father, Jeff Clifton, experienced the loss of a child almost ten years ago. He says that nightmare is haunting him again.

“The main thing is for him to be home safe, it’s not to get anybody in trouble. The main thing is to just bring my son home,” Clifton said.

UPDATE III: Missing toddler’s mom questions if son was kidnapped.

THV11 spoke with the boy’s mother who said she’s not giving out hope. Tanya Drummond was with her mother and some other family members at the volunteer checkpoint Tuesday evening.

The mood had changed since Monday night, and many people THV11 spoke with are now thinking the child did not wander away from the home by himself.

Drummond said, “We think he was kidnapped, but we’re not sure. Worse comes to worst, that’s what we think.”

If you have any information on the missing child call Searcy Police at 501-268-3531.
