Economy & Jobs Top Priority, Global Warming Last on List … My How Al Gore has Fallen

Posted in: Barack Obama,Economy,Global Warming

As Barack Obama takes office and faces numerous challenges as President of the Priorities_2009United States, not surprising the economy and jobs are considered far and above his greatest priority. What is striking though is that “global warming” is last on the list of priorities in a recent Pew Research Poll. With all the play that global warming gets, the American public find saving the clock tower a greater priority.

My how the Al Gore global warming train has left the station. I guess that is what happens why one takes their cause so seriously that they do not even attempt to run for President and have the greatest platform in the world for their cause.

The latest national survey by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press, conducted Jan. 7-11 among 1,503 adults on cell phones and landlines, finds that strengthening the economy and improving the job situation are higher priorities today than they have been at any point over the past decade, and the recent upward trend has been steep.

The share of Americans saying that strengthening the nation’s economy should be a top priority has risen from 68% two years ago to 75% last January to 85% today.
