Sen. John Walsh (D-MT) Drops Out of Senate Race …

U.S. Senator John Walsh drops out of the 2014 US Senate race in Montana.  As if Democrats were not in enough trouble in losing the US Senate seat in Montana as Republican Steve Daines was firmly ahead of Sen. John Walsh in every poll, now this. The decision to no longer run for the Senate comes amid the controversy over allegations that Walsh plagiarized a US Army War College research paper in 2007. The New York Times reported last month that a review of a 2007 final paper suggests the decorated Iraq war veteran “appropriated at least a quarter of his thesis on American Middle East policy from other authors’ works, with no attribution.”

Democrats will now scurry to replace Walsh on the November ballot. Consider Montana officially gone for Democrats. Honestly, what a “RED” state like Montana is doing with two Democrat Senators is a mystery.

Newsbusters: Ha! Looks like Shannon Bream of Fox News owes Brent Bozell, the president of founder of the Media Research Center, a dinner.

Sen. John Walsh said Thursday he is pulling out of the Senate race because his campaign was distracted by the controversy over allegations that he plagiarized a U.S. Army War College research paper.

Walsh, a Democrat, said he decided to drop out of the race. He had canceled campaign events this week as he and his family discussed what he would do.

The New York Times reported July 23 that Walsh had plagiarized large portions of the research paper in 2007.

Walsh will serve out the rest of his Senate term, which ends in early January 2015.
