No wonder Obama has chickened out of Town Hall debates against Republican John McCain, he cannot even answer a simple question from a 7 year old without stammering and answering the question miserably.

Barack Obama was at a packed high school gym in Elkhart, Ind when he was asked by a  7 year old girl, why do you want to be President of the United States? Obama’s answer defies description. Do you think that Obama would phrase his answer to the 7 year old in an uplifting fashion taking into account that the person asking the question was 7? NOPE! As Wizbang states, what a beautiful and uplifting message to tell a 7 year old child, America sucks, unless you elect me President. Obama answered the 7 year old her that America had gone downhill.

“America is, is no longer, uh, what it could be, what it, it once was,” Obama said haltingly. “And I say to myself, I don’t want that future for my children.”

How is it possible that a candidate for the office of the President of the United States cannot properly answer a simple question from a 7 year old girl with the grace, dignity and compassion understanding who and what age the individual is asking the question? Barack Obama, what the hell is wrong with you? This was not Meet the Press, NPR or MSNBC where you had the opportunity of bashing America once again. It was a 7 year old girl and you not only failed miserably in answering, you showed America how you really feel.

This is not a gaffe folks, this is how Obama really feels and believes. There comes a point and time when continual gaffes cannot be explained away. They are not isolated events, it is a theme from Barack and Michele Obama of America is mean, dark and evil. Let us not forget the positive words for America that Michelle Obama has had in the past, that she had never been proud of America.

 “For the first time in my adult life time I am really proud of my country …  Let me tell you something. For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country, because it feels like hope is making a comeback.”

Hot Air further reminds us with the Michele Obama video of the continues anti-America theme talking to students in South Carolina.

“Sometimes it’s easier to hold onto your own stereotypes and misconceptions. It makes you feel justified in your ignorance. That’s America.”

Power Line points out an interesting Obama contradiction in that in one point in the campaign Obama was running for President to usher in a new day for America, now he wants to restore us to our former glory.

It was not that long ago (yesterday probably) that Obama was running for president so he could usher in a new day, enabling America to fulfill the unmet promise of a nation that in the past has fallen so short of his, and his wife’s, expectations. Now he wants to restore us to our former glory.

Perhaps, he can do both, since the laws of contradiction do not apply to messiahs. Or perhaps Obama has no answer, other than egotism, to the question of why he’s running for president.
